Xuanzhou, a desolate place.
The night was dark and the rain was pouring down.
On the boundless wilderness, lightning flashes and thunder roars intermittently, whipping up gusts of wind and rain.
Looking around, only an ancient tree stood alone in the wilderness, swaying in the wind. Under the tree lay two chubby figures, Yi Cheng and Da Bao, fast asleep, with a lotus leaf supporting their heads. Although the lotus leaf was large, it couldn't cover the two fat men.
The rain soaked half of their bodies, but it didn't stop them from sleeping soundly.
"Smack~"
In her sleep, Yi Cheng smacked her lips, perhaps having a sweet dream about something delicious, and even chuckled foolishly.
Buzz!
Ripples spread across the wilderness as a figure in white emerged from the void and stood beneath the rain.
At that moment, the rain seemed to stop.
"Still the same as always, she doesn't cover her little belly while sleeping."
Qin Shou smiled and bent down to tug at Yi Cheng's clothes to cover his exposed belly.
I don't know how long he's been wearing this outfit; it's so black, you'd think it was always black. Didn't I pretend to be an old man and give him money? What's wrong? All he knows is buying meat buns, not changing his clothes.
Qin Shou looked at Da Bao again, and said "Eh..." with a look of disgust. If this guy were to rub against him now, he might get a beating.
"I possess a technique, the art of creating illusions within dreams..."
Qin Shou made a hand seal, and a ray of spiritual light flew out from between his eyebrows and entered Yi Cheng's sea of consciousness.
Boom!
Lightning flashed and thunder roared in the sky, and torrential rain poured down.
That night, Yicheng had a long-forgotten dream. She dreamt of following her senior sister around as a child, eating her braised pork, learning to write from her, her senior sister protecting her when she was beaten by their master, visiting her senior sister's house, and making a fuss until her senior sister told her a story before she would go to sleep...
I had this dream for a long time. I dreamt that I was eating at home, and as I ate, my belly got bigger and I started to float up. I kept floating until I reached the clouds, where I was swimming. I even opened my mouth and started eating the clouds... As I was eating, I suddenly saw my senior sister behind the clouds. She was waving to me.
"Hey! Senior sister!"
"Senior sister, senior sister, we've finally found a tender goose!"
"Goose, goose, goose... why are you hiding behind the clouds? No wonder the goose can't find you on the ground."
Yi Cheng swam quickly toward Wen Qing. Even though the distance was very close, Yi Cheng just couldn't reach her senior sister. So Yi Cheng cried loudly in frustration.
"Waaaaah~~, Senior Sister, the goose can't swim to you, swim over here quickly!"
Yi Cheng frantically waved her forearms and swung her legs.
"Don't rush."
She spoke with a warm smile, a gentle smile playing on her lips.
She slowly lowered a large hand from the clouds, sunlight piercing through her palm and scattering dappled light, making it appear holy and pure.
Wenqing gently patted Yicheng's head and said:
"Yicheng, your senior sister is leaving for a long trip to a very far place. She won't be able to come back to see you often... But your senior sister is leaving you with a little niece. She's on the mountain. Will you take good care of her for your senior sister?"
"Senior sister, where are you going?"
Yi Cheng tilted her little head back, looking at the big hand, her eyes brimming with tears, and said, "Senior sister, I had a dream on the mountain. I dreamt that you didn't want me anymore. Did you really not want me anymore?"
"Hehe, how could that be?" A gentle smile graced her lips, her eyes filled with tenderness. "Yi Cheng, you'll always be my favorite junior sister. And I, your senior sister, will always love Yi Cheng."
"Senior sister, please don't go, okay?" Yi Cheng asked earnestly, her big and small eyes wide open. "Senior sister, you don't know, there are so many bad people down the mountain. Some of them hunt geese, others try to kidnap them, trick them into working, and even let the geese and Da Bao go hungry..."
Yi Cheng wiped away her tears as she spoke.
"Senior sister, if you really want to leave, can you take the goose with you? The goose can fight, and it's really strong now. The goose is afraid that if you go too far alone, you'll get lost and won't be able to find your way home, or you'll get bullied..."
As he spoke, Yi Cheng rolled around and performed a series of punches and kicks, causing the heavens and earth to rumble and shake.
Da Bao, under the tree, rubbed its sleepy little eyes, grumbling as Yi Cheng pounded its little belly, then closed its eyes and fell asleep again.
"Senior sister!"
The warmth in my dream has drifted away, and Yi Cheng chases after it towards the light, but she can't catch up no matter what she does.
All they could do was scream in frustration.
"Senior sister, senior sister......."
......
The next day.
The sun rises in the east, and dawn breaks.
Yi Cheng woke up from her dream with a "wow" and looked around.
In the vast wilderness, after the rain had cleared, a rainbow of light hung above the desolate land.
"Da Bao, Da Bao, wake up! I had a dream yesterday that my senior sister told me to go home."
Yi Cheng shoved Da Bao.
Da Bao woke up with a whimper, pouting. He had just dreamt of eating bamboo on a mountain when Yi Cheng shook him awake.
"Dabao, geese, hurry home! Follow that little arrow!"
A small yellow arrow, half a meter long, floats directly in front of the orange.
Yi Cheng rode Da Bao, galloping across the boundless wilderness like a gust of wind.
"Hmph hmph hmph." Go for it!
The thought of bamboo made Da Bao run even faster.
......
A month or two later.
A strong wind swept through the tranquil wilderness.
Looking at the familiar hilltop, Yi Cheng shouted excitedly.
It was early spring, and flowers were blooming all over the mountains and fields.
"Master—, Little Fatty, Black Rabbit, Big Beauty... the goose is back! Hehehehe..."
Yi Cheng laughed loudly and rushed towards the top of the mountain without waiting.
"Huh, Black Rabbit, I was just hallucinating. I actually heard Orange's voice."
In the spirit garden, Little Fatty, with his hands behind his back, hopped and skipped under the grapevines, eating and playing. Black Rabbit lay between two giant spirit radishes in the radish patch, rolling to the left and taking a bite, rolling to the right and taking another bite, checking each time to see if he had bitten them evenly, before continuing to roll and bite the radishes.
"Squeak, I was hallucinating too."
Black Rabbit nodded her little head and said, "What should we do, Fatty? Are we going to die?"
"Black Rabbit..."
Just as Little Fatty was about to speak, Orange's voice suddenly came from down the mountain.
"Hmph, Fatty, Black Rabbit, are you two sleeping in? Why aren't you coming out to greet the goose?"
"One orange! It really is one orange!"
"Squeak! Yes, yes, it's Yi Cheng back!"
Little Fatty and Black Rabbit's eyes widened immediately, and they scurried out of the Spirit Garden, only to see a chubby little girl standing proudly in the sunlight on the hilltop.
"Holy crap! Yi Cheng, you're back!"
The chubby boy was overjoyed, bumping his little belly against his big orange belly dozens of times before stopping.
As he kept pushing, Little Fatty started crying.
"Wow~, Yi Cheng, Black Rabbit and I miss you so much! Without you, Master won't let us go down the mountain. Look, Black Rabbit and I have gotten so thin from hunger!"
"Squeak! Grandpa Rabbit misses you too, he misses you so much!"
Black Rabbit, with her little belly sticking out, bumped into Orange a dozen times before finally being satisfied.
