Shao Linyin woke up at night. The lights in the room were off, and only the small desk lamp on the desk was on.

The eye-protection desk lamp emits a soft warm white light, but when the light reaches the bedside, it is already very dim and only the vague outlines of things can be seen.

I could vaguely see Tong Xiaolai sleeping on the edge of the bed, his body tense and his brows furrowed.

He thought about it and was about to get up to turn on the light, but as soon as he moved, the person lying on the ground woke up.

Only then did he notice that his hand was still holding Tong Xiaolai's hand for some reason.

Embarrassed for a moment, he hurriedly let go of her hand and pretended to have just woken up: "Why did you turn off the light? Didn't I tell you not to turn off the light when you go to bed at night?"

Tong Xiaolai first reached out and touched his forehead, then found the thermometer and shook it, asking him to put it back under his armpits.

Then he got up, turned on the light, went into the kitchen, and from the sounds he seemed to be preparing to cook noodles.

Shao Linyin was still a little confused, sitting on the bed in a daze, thinking that the time was almost up, so he pulled out the thermometer. The temperature was 37.2, not really a fever, but why did it feel like the smile on his face looked like he was going to die?

As a result, he threw off the quilt, and as soon as he touched the ground, his legs gave out and he fell straight to the ground...

The people in the kitchen rushed out upon hearing the noise, and while supporting him, they said in a somewhat speechless tone: "You only drank three mouthfuls of porridge in three days. Do you think you still have the strength to get out of bed?"

He chuckled awkwardly: "Ah, this, it's not that much..."

"Well, it wasn't a high fever. I just slept for three days in a daze. The highest was only 40.8. The thermometer didn't explode, so it's nothing serious."

Shao Liyin: “!!!”

He hurriedly reached out to touch his phone, and Tong Xiaolai, who had returned to the kitchen, seemed to have eyes on his back.

"I've already asked for leave from your company. Your master will be keeping an eye on those urgent ladders for you these next few days."

Shao Linyin put down her phone with peace of mind again and looked at Tong Xiaolai who was already putting noodles from the pot into a bowl: "You haven't been to school these few days?"

Tong Xiaolai came out with a bowl of light vegetable noodles: "It's New Year's Day, and I have one day off. I've asked for two days and will go to school tomorrow."

He turned on his phone and checked the time: "It's already three o'clock. Don't go out tomorrow. Just rest at home."

Tong Xiao looked at him holding the bowl of noodles, teasing him from time to time but not putting the food into his mouth. He knew that this guy couldn't eat anymore.

"You eat this bowl of noodles, and I'll be home tomorrow."

Shao Linyin raised her eyelids to look at him, then reluctantly put the snacks into her mouth one by one, finishing half a bowl in half an hour.

His face wrinkled like a bitter melon. Tong Xiaolai was worried that he would eat too much and his stomach would hurt again, so he took the bowl away and said, "Okay, no more eating. You just woke up, don't eat too much."

Shao Linyin felt as if she had been pardoned. After eating the noodles, she did feel a little stronger, but she couldn't fall asleep for a while.

He slept for too long, so Tong Xiaolai didn't force him to sleep.

Sitting at the desk and opening the collection of wrong questions, Shao Liyin looked at him and said, "Xiaolai, you must not have had a good rest these days. Come and sleep. There is no rush to study now."

Tong Xiaolai didn't move his eyes away from the collection of wrong answers: "I can't sleep."

An hour later, Tong Xiaolai, unable to sleep, collapsed on the desk and lost consciousness...

When Shao Linyin stood up, he still felt sore all over and had no strength. He was afraid of waking the person up, so he simply didn't move. He took a small quilt and gently covered the person with it. He turned on the heater and adjusted it to the appropriate temperature. Then he lay down beside the person and looked at the face lying there.

He has gained some weight on his face these days, and with the added weight on his already superior bone structure, he is so handsome that it's almost unbelievable. No wonder the girls in school are so obsessed with him.

His hair had grown a little longer, with some strands falling randomly on his forehead, some of them touching his eyebrows.

"My hair is a little long. I need to get it trimmed sometime."

While he was muttering to himself, he reached out and brushed his eyebrows, revealing his thick eyebrows. They were thick but not rough, and had a very smooth shape. Every strand seemed to grow out step by step, without the slightest mess.

The eyelashes under the eyebrows are really long. Every time I look at it, I can see the long shadow cast by the eyelashes. The eyes under the shadow are now a long line. The drooping eyelids are very thin. Because of the white skin, some tiny red blood vessels can be seen clearly.

"Tsk, why do these eyebrows and eyes look fake? Did you secretly wear false eyelashes?"

He must have been dazzled, as he thought he saw the long eyelashes tremble. He stretched out his hand and waved it, but saw no movement. He was sure it was his own dazzle, so he looked down again.

His nose bridge was high and straight, and the tip of his nose was slightly flared, exuding a faint breath, which occasionally blew onto his face.

The lips under the bridge of the nose were tightly pursed, revealing a healthy red. The jawline and face shape were both angular and smooth.

The facial features are very delicate when viewed alone, but when put together as a whole, they appear a bit sharp and distant.

He stared at her for a long time, and suddenly felt a little dissatisfied. He pouted and muttered softly: "How can I be so cool? I still look like a little brat."

My eyes fell on those red lips, and I suddenly wanted to know what those jelly-like pink lips felt like.

He leaned forward slightly, his entire body falling onto the table. He moved closer, stretched out his fingers, and moved forward little by little. Just as he was about to touch her, he suddenly saw his rough, red, and swollen fingers.

He said a little embarrassedly: "Uh, I finally got a good sleep, and then I woke him up..."

The fingers curled up again, ready to be withdrawn.

Suddenly, the eyes under the long eyelashes opened and just looked at him...

He was so frightened that he froze for a moment, and then his hand was grabbed, with his fingers half-curled and hanging.

He felt his heart pounding and his cheeks burning. It was over, the fever must have lingered...

"Xiao Lai, I seem to have a fever again..."

She exerted force on the hand holding his fingers, and his fingers were moved forward little by little until she felt a soft touch.

He looked at Tong Xiaolai in a daze, but was reluctant to retract his fingers. Tong Xiaolai's hand had loosened its strength long ago, but his fingers were still tracing along the smooth lip line bit by bit, over and over again.

Tong Xiaolai didn't say anything, nor did he move, just letting him do it over and over again...

It was not until the alarm clock rang sharply that he got up in a hurry, covered his slightly red face with his hands, went to the bed in a hurry, took out his mobile phone, and turned off the alarm clock.

He felt some sweat on his back and touched his forehead: "Xiaolai, do you have any fever-reducing medicine? I feel like I'm not well yet."

"You're fine."

"No."

“…” Tong Xiaolai stood up and went to get the medicine.

Shao Liyin looked at the poured white pills, a bitter taste rising to the tip of his tongue. He turned around and rushed to the sink to wash up: "I'm ready, I'll wash my face and go to work."
