Chapter 7 Imperial Parliament

Then a soldier came in with a letter.

"Mr. Speaker, a scout from the Kingdom of Grid has entrusted me to deliver a letter to you."

After the soldier finished speaking, he showed a letter in his hand to Bruder.

Everyone's attention was drawn to the soldier's words for a moment.

The Kingdom of Grid? What could it mean that they sent a letter at this time?

Bruder curiously asked the soldier to hand over the letter.

After receiving the envelope, Bruder noticed that the wax on the envelope was not the royal pattern of the Kingdom of Grid. The pattern on the wax was a wingless dragon hovering above a gem.

Bruder opened the letter with curiosity and began to read it.

Bruder quickly finished reading the letter, and then anxiously asked the soldier:

"Where is the scout now? Is he still out there?"

Bruder's abnormal behavior made the members of parliament a little dazed. Although Bruder was a speaker who thought about retirement all day long, his ability was also recognized by everyone, otherwise Bruder would not have succeeded as speaker for four consecutive terms.

Although Bruder is less motivated now, it can be said that without Bruder's command and dispatch, the army of the Dreast Empire would have been wiped out by now.

So Bruder's reaction at this moment surprised all the congressmen. They never thought that Bruder, who had been depressed for such a long time, would become so motivated after seeing a letter.

Soon, the soldier came in with a monkey-headed orc.

"Greetings, Mr. Bruder, Speaker of the Dreast Imperial Council.

I am Chix, a scout from the Black Dragon Nation Scavenger Team.

I believe the main purpose of my visit this time has been clearly stated in the letter."

Chicks bowed slightly, then introduced himself very generously, but when Chicks finished speaking, all the congressmen looked confused.

"The Black Dragon Nation? Didn't they say they were from the Kingdom of Grid? What's going on?"

"Speaker, we want to know what this person's purpose is in coming here?

What do they want?"

Bruder took out a device from somewhere, and after fiddling with it for a few times, the letter brought by Chicks appeared in front of everyone.

"Cooperate to resist the Wanchao Society!

So, those enemies who have been invading us are called the Wanchao Society!"

"Are these damn guys trying to kill all of us? They are such a crazy bunch."

"I reserve my opinion. How can you be sure this person isn't lying? If he has some ulterior motive, wouldn't we all be doomed?"

"I agree with Councillor Jace's proposal. We cannot just blindly trust this so-called Black Dragon Nation."

The congressmen were talking and arguing with each other, and some of them who had personal grudges even started fighting.

Bruder said nothing, nor did he offer any defense for Cheeks.

Chicks naturally noticed that the Speaker didn't seem to trust him very much.

“It’s just as Lord Reborret said.

Some things are hard to prove, but this should make you all shut up, right? "

Chix said as he fiddled with a dark red dragon scale in his hand.

After the dragon scale was displayed, all the members of the parliament hall fell silent. Even the speaker of the parliament, Bruder, who was sitting on the main seat, looked at Chicks in surprise.

"Ancient Red Dragon King, Master of Dragon Island, what's going on?"

"The master of Dragon Island! The dragon scale of the ancient red dragon king? It can't be a forgery of a grown dragon, right?"

“Not to mention that the fakes of the pure-blooded dragons are also quite promising.

The dragon scale in that orc's hand isn't just any dragon scale; it seems to be a reverse scale!"

Bruder's originally lazy eyes slowly narrowed.

Bruder stared at Chicks, still feeling a bit doubtful.

"Mr. Cheeks, what do you mean?"

After Broud finished speaking, a strong pressure came towards Chicks. After feeling this pressure, Chicks' body swayed slightly twice, and then he looked directly at Broud with his head held high.

"Didn't Mr. Bruder see the last part of the letter?

This is the most powerful evidence that Lord Reborret has proved.”

Bruder took another look at the last message in the letter, and then lifted his pressure.

"I'm very sorry to confirm your identity in this way. After all, we are in a special period now. Please forgive me."

Not all of the letters were actually shown to all members of Parliament.

After all, Bruder felt that if these congressmen saw that they were not only facing enemies who kept invading them, but even the endless sea behind them had become the enemy's base camp, these people would probably go crazy.

Fortunately, the letter also stated that Mr. Reborret's mother was none other than the ancient red dragon king Brunhilde. Her people and the most mysterious Dragon Island were now on the Endless Sea helping them suppress the Wanchao Society there.

At this time, after learning the truth of the matter, a member of parliament raised his own questions.

"Mr. Cheeks, we want to know if there is any room for negotiation between us and the Wanchao Society?

Aren't they just a bunch of cultists? Why do they have to fight us to the death?"
