Chapter 237 Grand Debut

Chapter 237 Grand Debut

Early in the morning of a new day, Kapin sat at the brightly lit dining table, watching the servants bring plates and portions of delicious food to the table. He had a smile on his face, but his heart was not as good as it looked.

One of his men had a conflict with the Zmanger Party in the East District last night, was besieged by those barbaric plateau people, and died from a dagger delivered from the dark.

Although he had left the underworld for a long time and was dissatisfied with his foolish subordinates provoking other gangs, his subordinates were still his subordinates. If he did not retaliate, others would see it and it would affect his leadership.

Unfortunately, Mr. Heras stopped him in front of the other men, as if he were scolding a dog.

Thinking of his family still under the other party's "surveillance", Kapin suppressed his inner dissatisfaction, put on a smile, and said to Heras, who was the last to take a seat:

"Good morning, Mr. Heras. Today's breakfast includes roast pigeon, pumpkin shortbread, baked mushrooms with cream cheese, fruit caramel pudding, and fruit salad." Capin gestured for the waiter to pull out a chair for Heras to sit down. "They come from different restaurants in the North District and are transported here at full speed, just to appear on our table at the freshest."

"Huh, eating dessert so early in the morning, that's the way we are in this country."

With the help of the waiter, Heras tied his napkin and sneered without a smile. One of Capin's men died in the East District in the middle of the night last night, which made him think that this place was being targeted by some malicious Beyonders. It was not until he confirmed that the limitations of his "Secret-Keeping" ability had not been broken that he settled down and continued to rest. As a result, he was not as energetic as usual this morning.

Ms. Katie had arrived at the restaurant early and started eating. She was "dissecting" a roast pigeon with her dinner knife and fork. The pigeon's flesh and bones were gradually separated under her precise cutting. When she heard this, her neck moved slightly, but she didn't say anything.

Parker was enjoying his caramel pudding. When he heard what Heras said, he put down his spoon with a smile and said:

"But sweets can brighten a day, Mr. Heras. Think of all the goods in the basement. You can choose first today. Is it worth a piece of pudding?"

Hearing Parker's compliment, Heras's stern face finally showed a smile. He was about to answer when he suddenly felt something in his spirit and felt a little uneasy.

He quickly dropped his knife and fork and looked up with a frown.

There hung a large gas lamp with an intricate shape and multiple sets of reflective lenses, which illuminated the entire restaurant as if it were under the scorching sun in the late autumn morning.

An invisible shriek came from the gas lamp above, instantly sweeping over Capin, the three Beyonders, and the maids and waiters standing by in the restaurant.

Snap——

Heras felt a sharp pain in his eardrums, but other than that he only felt a little dizzy and his vision became blurred. After standing up with the help of the armrest of the chair, he could see the dining table in front of him clearly again within a few seconds.

Katie, who had also stood up, clutched her head, a few drops of sticky blood dripping from the tip of her nose onto the plate in front of her. She covered her head with one hand and reached for the holster at her waist with the other, ready to pull out her revolver and respond to the attack.

Next to her, Parker was in even worse shape. His eyes rolled back, and he kicked his legs, taking his chair with him. Capin, sitting in the main seat, fainted without a sound, sprawled across the fruit caramel pudding that had been rushed in early that morning.

The waiters and maids around were just ordinary people, in a similar situation to Kapin. They fell to the ground, quickly losing consciousness, their faces stained with blood oozing from their mouths, noses, and ears.

A tall woman appeared on the dining table at some point. She had long black hair and a round face full of indifference. She raised her right foot slightly and took a step forward. Ice that could freeze everything surged from the bottom of her feet, blowing away the pudding and shortbread on the table and rushing towards the Beyonders.

Heras had already retreated from the table. Although Katie was a step slower, she dodged the attack in time and pulled out her revolver.

Parker, who had fallen over, had just stood up and was unable to dodge, and his body instantly became stiff.

Then, in the spiritual vision that Heras subconsciously opened, a translucent figure wearing black armor and a black crown on his head jumped down from the gas lamp and pounced into Parker's body.

Angel kicked Capin away, who had no fighting ability, and quickly took out the revolver from his waist and shot him in the head, killing Parker who was possessed by Moriarty's magical ghost spell.

This extraordinary person did not reveal the specific potion sequence and extraordinary abilities during the divination between Moriarty and Angel, but Angel quickly selected the weakest extraordinary person amidst the ghost's screams, using him as a breakthrough point to eliminate one person on the field.

Only then did Heras realize that there was more than one invader, and the other one was even a strange ghost.

No wonder the danger warnings from my own spirituality are becoming stronger and stronger.

The woman stepping on the frost should be a "witch". He understands these extraordinary abilities. They are fancy but not very powerful. Even with that strange ghost, he can handle it. There is also Katie who has recovered from the dizziness in the restaurant. The two have cooperated in battle many times. They can catch the turtle in the jar!

Thinking of this, Heras smiled instead of getting angry. He pointed to the door of the restaurant and read out words in ancient Hermetic language:

"Confinement!"

The entire restaurant seemed to be swept by an invisible wave, as if outside the brick wall and wooden door, there was an extra wall that even spirits and certain special abilities could not pass through, and the inside and outside were separated.

Holding a revolver in one hand and a whip in the other, Katie jumped onto the dining table by stepping on a chair and attacked Angel, who was standing on layers of ice with his black hair loose, looking like a female ghost in the rising cold air.

Suddenly, several black flames appeared around her, and a forearm-thick ice spike was caught in it and smashed towards Katie. Katie was about to raise her gun and aim at the ice spike when Heras shouted from behind:

"Be careful of the flames!"

Out of trust in her companions, she no longer tried to attack, but rolled backwards and rolled directly off the dining table, avoiding the flames and frost amid the crackling sounds of dishes.

Angel chased after her with a dagger in his hand, waving it from above, and Katie could only deal with it in a panic.

Heras's eyes gradually turned cold. He opened his mouth to read out the next ban and cooperate with Katie to kill this nimble witch. He caught a glimpse of the strange armored ghost floating up from Parker's corpse and flying towards him as it had attacked Parker just now.

He snorted coldly, pointed his finger forward, and said in ancient Hermetic language:

"No flying allowed here."

A ghost wearing a crown and looking like an emperor was grabbed from the air by an invisible giant hand and pulled to the ground, his speed suddenly slowing down. Heras took out a gold-inlaid, extremely extravagant revolver, aimed at the tall ghost's head wearing a black crown and a mask of the same color, and was about to shoot a special bullet that could harm spirits and resentful souls.

Snap——

Bright yellow flames burst from the cracks in Ghost's armor, as if starting to burn on their own, and the same flames appeared on Angel as he pounced on Katie.

Flame jumping!

In an instant, the two exchanged positions in the flames ignited by Moriarty. Angel appeared in front of Heras, and the ghost Moriarty pounced on the terrified Katie.

Katie, who was holding a gun and a whip, was unable to dodge in time and kept rushing forward and got into the body of the ghost that had exchanged positions with Angel. She was covered with a translucent armor and suddenly felt her limbs cold, her joints stiff, and she was frozen in place, and she could hardly hold her weapon.

"Bang--"

Heras pulled the trigger, and the gold-plated revolver that was originally aimed at the ghost's head fired a bullet painted with strange patterns, which passed over Angel's head. The latter's dagger emitted black flames and stabbed towards him at an almost invisible speed.
