Chapter 457 Golden Dream
Danitz excitedly stood at the bow of the fishing boat, waving his arms towards the giant ship in the distance. After a while, the "Golden Dream" lowered a small boat, and four people rowed, quickly approaching the fishing boat.
"Hey, Boss!"
One of the sailors, wearing a bandana on his head, an open shirt and cropped trousers, shouted.
It seems that this is the subordinate of the "Fourth Boatswain".
Danitz could no longer bear it and jumped directly from the fishing boat, landing steadily on the small boat. He cheered and high-fived each of the sailors rowing the boat, like a triumphant warrior.
"They are?"
Another sailor asked hesitantly, his eyes fixed on the fishing boat.
Only then did he remember that there were two "guests" behind him. Danitz coughed lightly and introduced them:
"These are the captain's guests. Don't neglect them. Take them back with you."
Although his tone was calm, he could not hide the happiness between the lines, and he had a sense of superiority as if he had turned the tables and become the master of the situation.
Looking at Danitz, whose tail seemed to be raised to the sky, Angel chuckled and jumped off the fishing boat.
To prevent anyone from recognizing her as a wanted criminal valued at £12,000, Angel had adopted a subtle disguise. Black hair, brown eyes, and a round face—still beautiful, but only a third of her original appearance remained. Behind her, Klein, still dressed as Gehrman, gazed at the steam-belching Golden Dream from afar, seemingly studying its construction.
After everyone looked at him, the adventurer with a cold and expressionless face carried the box and stepped onto the boat.
"Have you found anything?"
As the four sailors paddled hard, Angel leaned over and asked softly.
"The ship isn't big, even smaller than the 'Red Skull' we saw last time. It doesn't have many guns on either side, but the main guns on the central axis are very special. The pattern on them looks a bit like an enlarged version of a talisman."
Squinting his eyes and observing the peculiarly shaped pirate ship under the scorching sun, Klein commented in a low voice.
"That's called the Purification Cannon. It's more powerful than the other forty cannons combined!" Danitz, whose ears had been perked up, finally found his chance and leaned over to speak loudly. "After six 'Priests of Light' perform a prayer ceremony and replenish their spiritual energy, they can fire ten shots in a row, each capable of sinking a ship of the same rank as the 'Golden Dream'."
Is this the trump card that enables Vice Admiral Iceberg to become one of the seven pirate generals with only one pirate ship?
Angel also squinted her eyes and looked at the "Golden Dream". As the boat gradually approached, she could see the details of the imposing cannon with its barrel pointing to the sky. The complex symbols and patterns on the barrel were layered, and a pure light flowed under the scorching sun.
Even if it takes three shots to destroy a ship, it can still fight one against four... But I wonder which one is stronger, compared to my "Disaster" spell... She pondered, deliberately not answering Danitz's boastful expression, and soon found that his face fell.
"Oh."
Klein, standing by, withdrew his gaze and sneered.

With the help of the rope, the three of them boarded the upper deck of the Golden Dream and met the busy sailors and Edwina Edwards who was standing silently beside the main gun.
Unlike the beautiful woman in Danitz's dream, who looked more like a teacher in a dress, Edwina, although still with her long hair tied up, had changed into a more dashing outfit of trousers and knee-high boots. She buttoned up her beige jacket and wore a command knife at her waist.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Hermann, and Miss Angelica?"
She took the initiative to come forward.
"Hello, Madam Captain, I'm a bit of a disguise."
Angel responded, and out of the corner of his eye he saw Danitz quietly slip aside and greet the sailors who were all looking at him. He pushed the crowd aside, leaving space for the three of them to talk.
Of course, he cast a vigilant look over from time to time, somewhat worried that the crazy adventurer, the kind-looking but evil Ms. Ten Thousand Pounds, would have a conflict with his captain.
"You're just showing up near Bayam like this. Aren't you worried about the Church of Storms and the military's warships?"
Angel asked first after slowly walking to the other side of the main gun and avoiding the sailors' gazes.
"They protect the main shipping lanes and important ports. Graggs is a small port, without even a church, and it's almost entirely occupied by pirates. This past week, the fleets of Admiral Blood, Vice Admiral Disease, and even Nast, the 'King of the Five Seas,' have passed through. It's quite bustling."
Looking at the endless sea in the distance, Edwina replied in a flat tone, consistent with the rumors of her cold attitude.
"What are they all looking for around here?"
Klein interjected.
"There must be something that attracted them, and me, here. This can be explained mystically as..."
Vice Admiral Bingshan paused mid-sentence, as if she didn't know how to describe it. She pulled over a fishing net that was drying next to the main gun mount, hung it up by two corners to create a fairly flat surface, and casually scattered the pens, potion bottles, ritual daggers and other items in her pocket on the net, making them appear in a random distribution.
Then, she took off the command knife from her belt and threw it in among the small objects. The command knife, which weighed several kilograms with its sheath, immediately pressed the fishing net into a funnel shape, causing the surrounding pens and daggers to roll towards it and eventually squeeze together.
It's like a massive celestial body distorts the surrounding space and time... Angel stopped thinking about his scientific ideas halfway and turned to thinking about the problem from the perspective of mysticism.
If this "model" were to hold true, then all the pirate generals, and even the pirate king, coming to Bayam's vicinity were due to some new and unique event...
Admiral of Blood came here because the Second Officer was lured to death. Vice Admiral of Disease is most likely looking for Elaine. Vice Admiral of Iceberg wants to cooperate with us to deal with Admiral of Blood... Except for Nast, the King of the Five Seas, are the other three really here because of Klein and me?
“Very vivid teaching, but it has nothing to do with us.”
Unlike the pensive Angel, Klein replied with a straight face.
"It's just a simple guess."
Edwina didn't care and answered softly. Her tone always had a calming power, perhaps because she often gave extra lessons to the crew on the ship.
"What do you think of the Blood Admiral's expedition into the Raging Sea?"
After watching the other party collect the items on his body and rehang the fishing net, Angel continued to ask.
"He's not following the regular route. Perhaps he's not trying to cross the Raging Sea to the Southern Continent. He's just searching for something on the periphery. I have some kind of information channel that allows me to regularly learn his location. If he returns to the Rorsted Archipelago, you'll know."
"Where's Vice Admiral Disease?"
"I'm sure you already know that she's a Sequence 5 Witch of Pain, backed by the Witch Cult. Unlike ordinary pirates, she rarely robs passing merchant ships and isn't even bloodthirsty. She has her own ideals and aspirations, but she also works for the organization, transporting kidnapped people. Lately, she doesn't seem to have any other missions, and has been hovering near Bayam, searching for something."
I'm afraid she's looking for her "lover"... Angel's mouth almost couldn't hold back, he nodded and quickly ended the topic.
Afterwards, she and Klein asked a few more questions, such as the location of the "mermaid" and the news about the "Gazer". The conclusions they obtained were consistent with what Arrodes said on the receiver. This also made Angel determined to go with the Hanged Man's ship to search for the "Gazer" at the end of the month. If they missed this clue, perhaps they would really have to wait for news from Silver City and Mr. "Sun".
"Then, Madam Captain, you invited us here not just to answer our questions, right?"
Seeing that he had asked almost everything he wanted to know, Angel lowered his voice and asked.
"What I want to know is..." Edwina glanced at the crew members not far away who were chatting but keeping an eye on this side from time to time, then took a few steps to the other side. "Who are you?"
Before Angel could speak, she added:
Angelica Sage, German Sparrow, adventurers from Backlund who arrived at sea via Pritz Harbor last month, seeking high pay... These identities were fairly well-made, but not entirely realistic.
"He was able to kill the Storm Church Bishop in Bansy Harbor, causing it to remain sealed off until now, and easily deal with 'Iron' Maveti and his men. Such an adventurer couldn't have been unknown and only recently emerged."
It seems she's thoroughly investigated us... She's a pirate general, and yet she has her own intelligence network in Backlund? No, perhaps this is the work of the forces behind her...
Angel was thinking and was about to say something perfunctory when Klein beside him replied:
"We all have our little secrets. You just need to know that we won't cause you any harm... not yet."
"So, what about Kalvetuwa? Before his death, you made a sacrifice to him, and even after his death, the 'Sea God' is still responding to his devout followers."
Edwina demanded.
Sacrifice?
Angel couldn't help but want to look at Klein beside him, but he held back at the last moment.
Although she was somewhat puzzled, she could not reveal any disagreements between herself and Klein in front of Vice Admiral Iceberg.
She could also guess that this was Mr. Fool's mission. Combined with his response at the Tarot Club, she was afraid that Mr. Fool had really begun to exercise the power of Poseidon.
"Is it possible for me to cooperate with you and the forces behind you?"
Seeing that the two of them had cold faces and said nothing, Edwina was not discouraged, but continued speaking with anticipation.
"Isn't the cooperation with us already underway?" Angel interjected, hinting at the plan to hunt the 'Blood Admiral'. "Also, his gloves are called 'Creeping Hunger'."
Vice Admiral Iceberg must have learned about this from Danitz. After all, Klein had demonstrated the power of this magical item when rescuing Donna's family in Bansy Harbor and fighting Steel. As one of the pirate generals, Edwina must be aware of the details of Vice Admiral Hurricane's death and knew that a High-Sequence Beyonder possessed Creeping Hunger. This meant...
You alone are not qualified to cooperate with the Tarot Club, the power behind us, which possesses High-Sequence Experts and the authority of the Sea God...
Mr. Azik, this is the price you pay for always forgetting to come and go... Angel felt no guilt at all for bringing out this Beyonder, who might even have the strength of an angel, to intimidate Edwina. What's more, the other party was originally the Favored One of The Fool.
"I understand. Let's maintain the status quo for now."
As expected, the clever Edwina immediately understood everything. She nodded slightly and replied, then looked up at the sky and pointed to the cabin behind her:
"I've prepared lunch for you."
"Thanks."
Angel said as he and Klein followed the pirate admiral, who had regained his cool expression, into the cabin. The eager crew members behind them crowded forward, hesitating whether to follow. Danitz, in particular, openly stuck his head into the cabin door and watched the three people heading towards the dining room.
"The atmosphere on your ship is quite good."
Hearing the movement behind him, Angel couldn't help but comment.
She had thought that Vice Admiral Iceberg would be proud, but unexpectedly, this cold-hearted lady's mouth twitched rarely, and she seemed a little... angry?
"I plan to have Danitz remain in Bayam, by your side, as a liaison between the two parties. I hope you can provide some protection."
flutter--
There seemed to be a dull sound behind me.
