Chapter 732 Arrival at the Southern Continent

Chapter 732 Arrival at the Southern Continent

After being promoted to "Master of Secret Dolls" and imprisoning "Blood Admiral" Senior in "Groselle's Travels" on the outskirts of Bayam, and successfully turning him into a secret doll, Klein has become accustomed to having a secret doll, letting him go first in everything while he fights behind the scenes.

Unfortunately, when he was stealing the Antigonus family notes, he mistakenly entered the foggy town. In order to deal with Ms. Despair and Mr. A who were also stranded there, he had to sacrifice the hardworking Senior, so he has not been able to find another suitable secret doll until now.

"According to my current conclusion, the best way to act is to hide the main body behind the scenes and let the marionette take center stage. I have always tried to do this, and it has greatly improved my ability to digest potions. Now I can control two marionettes..."

Walking on the streets of Gulain City, which was built on the mountain and had clear layers, Klein pretended to admire the architectural landscape that was different from that of the Northern Continent, while secretly observing the two military personnel following him from behind, and thinking about his next move.

His ostensible purpose for coming to East Balam was to transit through West Balam and contact his friends, so he could sell the arms he had obtained to the local resistance forces and cause some trouble for the Intis people. Therefore, he did not need to worry about the military tracking, who had to ensure his own safety and prevent his betrayal.

But considering what needed to be done secretly, Klein had no choice but to get rid of these two tails.

First, find a place where there are many people. For the "Faceless Man", as long as I avoid his sight for a few seconds, I will be a different person... He chuckled and walked towards the busy area of the street.

From time to time, carriages passed by him, most of which were hired carriages. The large public carriages that were common in the cities of the Northern Continent were almost nowhere to be seen. What was more common were "coffins" pulled by animals or carried by people.

No matter how many times I've read about it in books, seeing it in person still makes me feel uncomfortable. If it were accompanied by some popular dynamic music, I might just stay away from them... Klein watched the coffins move quietly in the moonlight, feeling deeply moved.

Arriving at a relatively flat hillside, Klein stopped at a square with a church, a bar, and a restaurant. Coincidentally, a luxurious "eight-man coffin" stopped in front of him. The four people in the front squatted down, and the four people in the back raised their hands and placed the heavy coffin upright. The lid was opened from the outside, and a gentleman in a white shirt and a black vest walked out slowly. He put on the formal suit draped over his arm, put on the hat handed by the servant, straightened the wrinkles on his clothes, and headed straight for the Church of the Lord of Storms not far away.

Oh, a Death God church should be built here to perfectly complement these residents who preserve the local Death God customs... Klein muttered as he watched the gentleman leave.

It was not until he actually witnessed the customs and people of the Southern Continent that he felt that the knowledge in books and memories had become reality.

Combining his research into mysticism, Klein was able to determine that the Church of the Storm's purpose in preserving the customs of the Death Realm in Balam's colony, rather than promoting Loen culture, was to prevent the "Night" path, which was similar to the "Death" path, from spreading across the southern continent.

As members of the same faith as the Kingdom of Loen, Storm and Night openly collaborated, but they also had their fair share of disputes behind the scenes. As for Steam, with their primary focus in Intis, they had no way of intervening in East Balam's affairs...

Klein sighed and turned into a bustling bar. Two tails followed him around the eight-man coffin and hurriedly followed.

But the next second, they were blocked by a crowd of people who were drunk and emotional. After finally breaking through the "blockade" and entering the depths of the bar, they had lost sight of the tall, elegant gentleman with gray hair.

The two men looked at each other and quickly split up, one went back to the main door to block the way, and the other went into the bathroom at the back to search, but no one noticed that a young man of medium build and brisk steps passed by them, carrying luggage, holding a top hat, and leaving the bar with a coat under his arm, and left the square from another intersection.

It was relaxing and enjoyable, without even needing to use illusions or fire jumps... Looking at the sweaty pursuers behind him checking out the drunks, Klein smiled, feeling like he had regained some of the fun of the Low-Sequence Period.

Next, he would find a hotel to stay in, and then go out to look for a secret doll. He needed someone who could speak the local Dutan language, and preferably a Beyonder... He looked around and suddenly heard a sharp, terrified female cry coming from a secluded place.

Highway robbery, or something even more nasty?

Klein thought and turned into a deserted alley.

————

At the Port of Arath, East Balam, a passenger ship, having barely escaped the unpredictable winds and waves of the turbulent sea, slowly docked at the pier. Passengers fled to the surface like freed prisoners and dispersed.

A man with a black soft hat and a high nose bridge got off the boat with empty hands, following the crowd. However, he did not go into the city. Instead, he left along the coast and soon arrived at the deserted suburbs.

Only then did he slowly raise his head. Under his forehead with lines as strong as a sculpture, one eye was deep blue, and the other eye was covered with bulging blood vessels, looking extremely hideous.

Suddenly, he opened his lips and recited rapidly in the ancient Hermetic language:

"The Lord who created everything, the Lord behind the shadow veil, controls all living things..."

This passage, referring to a certain existence, was pronounced without pause and in a continuous tone, but was interrupted by himself at a crucial point:

"shut up!"

"Don't even think about it!"

"Just arrived here, just got rid of that 'War Bishop', and you idiot want to pray to that evil god again?"

"It would be better to die at the hands of that guy. He looks like he has a bit of your blood."

"Bullshit, he's so weak, he must be your descendant."

“…”

Several voices in different tones argued with each other for a while before stopping.

The beach returned to silence. The bulging blood vessels in the man's left eye disappeared. His other deep blue eye moved slightly. He reached into his clothes and took out a notebook. His slightly pale hand grasped the quill tucked inside.

Turning to the latest page, he hesitated for a moment and wrote a few new lines:

"After a brief debate, the evil spirit within Ince Zangwill reached a consensus once again. His desire for the Beyonder characteristics of the Hunter Path overwhelmed other thoughts, which required cooperation from both parties.

"After this commotion, the evil spirit will remain rational for a short period of time. His tendency to aggregate Beyonder characteristics will attract a certain 'reaper' in the city of Tetnik to unconsciously approach him, while the other demigods of the 'hunter' path happen to be away from the city.

"Ince Zangwill decided to satisfy the evil spirit's thirst first, then travel to Gurain to join the Pale Hand of the Spirit Cult and exorcise the evil spirit within him. This was a reasonable choice."

Putting away the notebook and quill, a black shadow surged beside him, wrapping him up and rushing forward at an extremely fast speed.
