A house with a green lawn on the outskirts of Tingen.
It has a garden that begins to wither in early September and a dark red chimney.
Behind the bedroom window of the house was a desk with an ordinary notebook open on it.
A slightly pale hand turned the notebook to the first page, and then kept flipping back quickly.
Amid the rustling sound of paper, lines of text vaguely appeared:
"It was a logical coincidence that the secret order member Riggins, due to fatigue and hallucinations, mistakenly sold the Antigonus family notes as ordinary ancient books."
"Inspired by the blood of the Antigonus family, the notebook quietly influenced its owners one by one, and eventually came to Tingen, where it fell into the hands of Sirius Arepis and Heinas Vincent, members of the Aurora Society."
"After reading the contents of the notebook and copying down the corresponding potion formula, Sirius and Heinus were worried that the secret cultivator who was good at divination would track them down. After discussion, they decided not to take this risk and sold the notebook to others."
"They did not wait for Mr. Z's reply, perhaps because he lived in Port Enmat."
"Through Sirius' introduction, Hainas met Welch McGowan, a history student at Khoi University, and sold the Antigonus family notes to him as an ordinary ancient book."
"Afterwards, Sirius was attracted by the possible treasures on the main peak of Honachis and began to go in and out of the Deville Library to look up relevant materials. He did not think there was anything wrong with leaving his real address and name, which was consistent with his character."
"It was during this process that he met Lanevus, who was looking through the iron ore data and trying to carry out fraud."
"Sirius admired Lanevus' hidden madness and cunning very much. He decided to develop him into a member of the Aurora Society. Of course, before that, an examination was inevitable."
"Sirius secretly revealed to Lanevus the evil ritual of praying for the True Creator to give birth to an offspring, but he knew that the other party's chance of success was very low because the ritual was very difficult and required very harsh conditions. The latter expressed a strong interest and was very excited about the possible reward from the gods. He planned to complete the ritual while preparing to build the steel company."
"The cunning Laneus saw that there was something wrong with Sirius Aripis, but for his own sake, he did not expose him."
"He visited Hood Eugen in the mental hospital again. They had known each other for a long time and knew some of each other's situations."
"After a black divination, the power of the Antigonus family notebook was completely awakened. Welch and his classmates died. The survivor, Klein Moretti, was driven by the notebook and sent it to Rui Er Biber's home. This was a destined ending."
(Many lines are scribbled below, and new content follows):
"What is puzzling is that, without sufficient reason, Klein did not commit suicide and survived."
"Through Welch's case, he met Dunn Smith and joined the Nighthawks."
“Although this goes beyond Ince Zangwill’s description, it doesn’t seem to affect the development of the story.”
"Bacchus and his brothers' luck turned bad. They lost their last chips at the gambling table and owed a lot of debts. They decided to get some money and decided to kidnap and blackmail a wealthy businessman."
"When they were choosing their final hiding spot, they happened to choose the room across from Riel Bieber's house."
"At this time, Rui Er Biber has been attracted by the power of the Antigonus family's notes and hopes to digest the gift from his ancestors."
"However, he was so overwhelmed and half-crazy that he failed to make the best and safest choice. He abandoned his dead mother but stayed in Tingen City. He just found a more secluded place to hold the digestion ceremony. It was really sad. If he had been a little smarter, the story would have become more complicated, but his choice was also in line with his state at the time and the implicit logic."
"Baccus and others purchased weapons and targeted Eliot, the youngest son of tobacco merchant Vickrol."
"Finally, they successfully carried out the kidnapping and brought Elliot back to the opposite side of Rui Er Biber's house. Vickrol's old butler Keli accepted his master's commission and began to seek help from the security company."
"Due to the impact of Welch's death, security companies and private detectives are short of manpower. Keri accidentally met a food delivery waiter and coincidentally learned about the existence of the Blackthorn Security Company."
"Leonard Mitchell and Klein accepted the commission and quickly rescued Elliot with the help of Beyonders. Unfortunately, Klein failed to immediately discover the clues to the Antigonus family notes hidden across the street."
"However, his spirit reminded him in his dream, and the Tingen Market Night Squadron obtained the corresponding clues."
…
"The Sealed Artifact '2-049' arrived at Tingen. With the help of this puppet of the Antigonus family, Dunn Smith led the Nighthawks to find Ruier Biber and interrupted his digestion process."
"Riel Bieber turned into a monster and the situation got out of control."
"Finally, the skilled Nighthawks defeated the monster Biber, but they immediately faced attacks from members of the Secret Order."
(Many lines have been smudged, making it difficult to read the original content):
"Leonard, who was hiding a secret, was about to end the matter without any doubt. Klein, who was supposed to be dead, once again incomprehensibly killed a Sequence 7 member of the Secret Order."
"This did not affect the development of the story. Dunn Smith came into contact with the Antigonus family's notes, read its contents, and was secretly contaminated a little!"
…
"After completing all the preparations, Lanevus bewitched Hood Eugen and asked him to help him perform a ritual, using his deceived fiancée Megose as a carrier to give birth to the offspring of the True Creator."
"Laneverus has almost no chance of success. The most serious problem is that even with the protection of the ritual power, Megose cannot withstand the physical contact with the illusory projection of the god. She will die on the altar."
"At this time, the kindhearted Ince Zangwill secretly helped Lanevus. He separated half of the characteristics of the descendants of the God of Death that he had collected and implanted them into Megose's body in advance."
"Hood Eugen put Megose into a semi-comatose state, causing her to mistake the illusory projection of the True Creator for Lanevus. Under the nourishment of the resentment accumulated in the factory area, and the catalysis of the tangible darkness and oppression, the ritual was successful. Megose became pregnant with the True Creator's child. The god saw the coincidence, but he did not refuse in order to break through the blockade of the Seven Gods."
"Hood Eugen is infected."
"After the ritual was successful, the crazy Lanevus regained his sanity. He knew very clearly that if the offspring of the gods were really born in the real world, he would become one of the sacrifices. How could a mortal be the father of the offspring of the gods? This is a great blasphemy!"
"Laneverus decided to leave Tingen early and tell the Nighthawks, the Punishers, and the Mechanical Heart about the bomb, so that they can solve the problem for him. Madness always comes at a price."
"But Lanevus didn't write directly to those Beyonder teams. He thought it would make him look like a fool."
"He decided to leave the letter in a house he rented, pretending to be playing a game with the official Beyonders. For this reason, he did not remind Hood Eugen of the infection problem, and took away all the gains."
"To be on the safe side, he also informed Sirius Ariepis of the situation in a safe way. The latter didn't quite believe it, but he also felt the possibility of success."
…
"Selina Wood accidentally and coincidentally saw the true spell of 'magic mirror divination' from her occult teacher, Heinus Vincent."
"Her daring attempt happened to meet Klein Moretti, who successfully solved this extraordinary case that could have caused heavy casualties."
"The Nighthawks used this to track down Hainas Vincent, but the Aurora Society had just been rewarded for its success, so Dunn Smith happened to see the clear image of the True Creator in his dream and suffered great harm."
"But he was not infected by this, and this would be noticed by the higher-ups of the Nighthawks."
"This injury has further aggravated Dunn Smith's infection caused by the secrets of the Antigonus family notes. His symptoms of trance and omissions have been intensified. He will meet Ince Zangwill's requirements step by step."
…
(A lot of lines were crossed out again)
"It's unbelievable! Klein Moretti sensed Ince Zangwill's hidden influence and saw the dark red chimney."
"This is because of the reminder from Azik, a teacher in the History Department of Khoi University. He has many secrets."
"But even so, the fact that Klein was able to discover specific clues is surprising enough and inexplicable."
"No matter what the reason is, Ince Zangwill did not stop his actions. The story continues."
"Klein ran into Sirius in the library and killed him without mercy. As a result, half of the clues to the Lanevus incident were cut off, and the discovery of the problem was delayed and postponed."
…
"Klein encountered Megose, but his spirituality prevented him from checking, and he did not notice the subtle abnormality afterwards. This is very logical. Our story is not made up."
"He collected information about red chimneys, but he always chose routes that did not include his target. Maybe he would have to wait two or three months until the last batch before he could find the real 'red chimney houses'."
…
(Line after line of text was blacked out, more than the previous ones combined)
"Dunn Smith's problem has been alleviated! His condition is obviously improving! He has mastered the 'acting method'!"
"This is what Klein Moretti taught him. He found inspiration from the examples of Daly Simone and Old Neil. No, Ince Zangwill doesn't believe it, but he can only slightly change the original plan."
“There’s a new twist to the story.”
"Azik decided to go to Backlund in order to find his past memories."
"It didn't take long for Klein and Dunn to get a clue from Hood Eugen."
…
"Mrs. Sharon decided to take the risk and kill Councillor John Maynard in order to completely antagonize the Conservative Party and the New Party in Tingen City and to vent the madness that had accumulated bit by bit since her body transformation."
"Her reasons were not sufficient, and her motives were not strong enough, but she still acted. Everyone has times when they are not sober enough, and she was at such a stage, and she was fully confident that she would not be discovered."
"Congressman Maynard's wife found the Blackthorn Security Company through tobacco merchant Vickrol. They lived up to their trust and soon discovered something was wrong with Madam Sharon."
"Dunne, who has a strength close to that of Sequence 6, decides to take the initiative and gives Sealed Artifact '3-0271' to Cornelius for use."
"The two of them and Klein returned to Madam Sharon. Dunn tried to control the target by remotely dragging the person into a dream."
"That's not a problem, but unfortunately, Madam Sharon happened to place the statue of the 'Original Witch' nearby."
"So, the Nighthawks' plan failed, and in his nervousness, Cornelius took a photo of himself and saw himself."
"Mrs. Sharon was killed, and Cornley also died. Dunn felt very guilty and took the Beyonder's special properties as usual. His digestion process was interrupted and stagnated, and his mental state became quite unstable."
"Under such circumstances, Leonard and Klein discovered the letter left by Lanevus."
"Megose was inexplicably summoned to Zouteland Street and entered the Blackthorn Security Company. The baby in her belly was in a critical period and failed to stop her impulse."
"Dunn made detailed arrangements, correct arrangements, but he made one mistake. If he was determined to deal with Megose immediately, he would have been better off leading her behind the Chanis Gate and fighting with the advantage of the environment and items. If he planned to wait for help, he must not take out Saint Selina's ashes."
"Unfortunately, Dunn was in a bad state and in a trance due to recent events. He failed to think of a crucial point in a hurry. The offspring of the gods could sense the threat of the saint's ashes. As a result, the latter was stimulated and began to absorb the mother's power at all costs, trying to be born early, even if it was not truly mature."
"Azik is in Backlund. He is not a 'planeswalker' and it would be difficult for him to rush back in such a short time."
(A few lines were crossed out)
"Megos turned into a monster, and the battle began. With the help of the Saint's ashes, the 'Vascular Thief', and the strangely appearing high-level spell, Megos died, the offspring of the gods was expelled, Dunn Smith died, and the power of Saint Selina's ashes was severely damaged. This perfectly matched Ince Zangwill's idea."
"Ince Zangwill didn't get a chance to perform, but that didn't stop him from achieving his goal."
"He killed Klein Moretti, the guy who always caused problems for his plans, and took away Saint Selina's ashes."
"Ince Zangwill used the remaining characteristics of the descendants of the God of Death to set up a ritual and ingested Saint Selina's ashes. He successfully advanced from Sequence 5 'Gatekeeper' of the 'God of Death' pathway to Sequence 4 'Night Watcher' of the 'Night' pathway. He thus gained divinity and became a powerful demigod."
"The sun is still shining on the earth. Almost everyone in Tingen City is unaware that they have luckily escaped a great disaster. The 'Monster' Admithal will be very puzzled by this."
The notebook turned to the last page. A middle-aged man with dark blond hair, one blind eye, dark blue pupils, a high nose bridge, tightly pursed lips, and facial features as deep as a statue without a single wrinkle, solemnly picked up a classic feather pen with his slightly pale hand, and wrote out clear words without any ink.
He simply said:
"The story of Tingen City ends here."
The papers flipped quickly, and the manuscript snapped shut, leaving only the brown cover facing outward. 8)
