Chapter 57 Dorian's Decision

Backlund, Cherwood District, 22 Hope Road, Hat Trick Inn.

Dorian Grey Abraham, with broad shoulders and strong arms, paced back and forth in the room unconsciously, waiting for his student Fors to visit him.

No matter how calm he was and how well prepared he was mentally, he couldn't help feeling a little nervous and apprehensive when the final moment came when he really had to face the answer.

I don't know how long it was before there were knocks on the door of the room.

Dorian listened to the rhythm of the intervals for a few seconds, then took a deep breath, walked to the door, turned the handle, and pulled back.

The person outside the door was Fors, a woman with curly brown hair, wearing a dark long skirt and tinted glasses.

Dorian habitually looked behind Fors to make sure that no one was paying attention to this side before making way and letting the student pass.

At the same time, he glanced at Fors's hands and found that his student was not carrying a suitcase.

Dorian then retracted his gaze, walked to the center of the room, found a seat to sit down, and pointed to the sofa opposite him.

"Sit down."

Fors lifted her skirt rather stiffly, sat down, and greeted:

"Good morning, teacher."

Dorian didn't get to the point directly. He thought for a moment and said:

"Did you really kill Butis?"

"Yes." Fors took out an exquisite and slender cigarette box from the secret pocket of her clothes, opened it, and showed Dorian what was inside.

Those were two dark eyeballs, frozen with unspeakable fear, as if the person had seen something extremely terrifying before he died.

Dorian had prepared himself mentally to receive a terrifying head made up of bloody fragments, just like last time, which would give him nightmares. However, the student did not bring any luggage, but only took out a women's cigarette box.

This made him think that there were relics that could prove Butis's identity, but the facts once again exceeded his expectations:

This is still Butis's body, but there is less left than that of Louis Wayne!

Only a pair of eyeballs were left... The spiritual intuition of the "astrologer" made Dorian believe that the eyeballs did belong to Butis.

Seeing that the teacher fell silent and did not speak, Fors subconsciously explained:

"His body has completely collapsed and dissipated, only these eyes are still intact."

She paused and said:

"This eyeball contains the fear of Butis before his death and the pollution from the 'Box of the Old Days'. It is a very strong curse, so I didn't send it to you directly. That would cause bad things to happen to the postmen who handled it, or even cause them to die without knowing it."

The contamination of the "Box of the Old Ones"... Dorian nodded in realization, sighed and smiled:

"Did he ultimately die from the 'Box of the Elder Days'?

"This is really fate..."

When Butis rebelled and attracted the Aurora Society, the first item they stole was the "Box of the Old Ones".

Fors had listened to Ms. Hermit and Ms. Justice's account of what happened during the private gathering to distribute the spoils, and realized how magnificent and thrilling the battle he had missed was. He thought about it and said,

“I guess so…

"However, he had already begun to lose control before being contaminated by the 'Box of the Elder Days'."

Dorian was not surprised and said to his student:

"Put it away, this is your trophy."

When Fors closed the cigarette box and put it back into his secret pocket, Dorian leaned forward, clasped his hands together, pressed his nose against it and said,

"Butis is one of the most talented 'apprentices' I have ever seen, but who knew he would end up like this..."

At this point, Dorian sighed deeply, as if he was reminiscing about something or repenting for something.

Fors didn't know much about the details of what happened back then, so she didn't dare to speak rashly. She could only remain silent and wait for the teacher to come out of his emotions.

After about ten seconds, Dorian straightened up and asked:

"How did you digest the 'Recorder' potion?"

This is not only about caring for students, but also about accumulating experience and providing some reference for other family members to teach students.

Fors's expression suddenly became complicated, as if she was recalling something she didn't want to recall:

"It was mainly because of the help I received. On the one hand, I was able to 'record' many unique or high-level abilities. On the other hand, I was taken to many places over the course of a few months to 'record' different folk customs and beautiful scenery..."

Dorian was silent for a moment, then nodded:

“This is not something that can be imitated…”

He then asked:

"German Sparrow?"

"Yes." Fors responded affirmatively.

Dorian fell silent again, and after a few seconds he said:

“What kind of deal does he want?

"Or, what does he want?"

Fors perked up and replied somewhat embarrassedly:

"He wants the Planeswalker's potion formula, and wants to exchange the Box of the Elder Days for one of the two Level 0 Sealed Artifacts in your hands."

This price was absolutely fair. Fors originally thought that Mr. World wanted to use his promise to directly exchange for the Planeswalker potion formula and the "0" level seal, but he didn't expect that the "Box of the Old Ones" would be included.

Of course, the promise of freeing Abraham's family from the curse must be worth that much to Dorian, but promises are always just promises and may not be fulfilled.

Dorian was not surprised that Gehrman Sparrow asked for a Level 0 Sealed Artifact. He was mentally prepared for this and thought that the conditions were superior beyond imagination. After all, there were not many things in the Abraham family that a demigod could covet today.

He frowned slightly and said:

"What does he need the Planeswalker's potion formula for?"

"I don't know." Fors answered frankly.

Dorian stood up and began to pace.

Suddenly, he stopped, looked at Fors and said:

"I need to meet with him and talk to him before I can make up my mind."

"Okay." Fors agreed without any hesitation.

Dorian secretly breathed a sigh of relief, prepared to send the students away, and then quickly took out the potion and took it.

He arranged to meet at this time because he thought his curse would soon explode. If anything unexpected happened, the enemy would definitely not have time to communicate with his spirit.

But after Fors stood up, she did not walk towards the door. She stood where she was and reached out to the empty space in front of her.

Her arm suddenly sank and quickly pulled back, dragging out a figure wearing a black windbreaker and a silk top hat.

This figure had black hair and brown eyes, with deep features and hard lines. It was Gehrman Sparrow.

Gehrman Sparrow's eyes moved slightly, quickly getting rid of the dullness and becoming indistinguishable from a real person.

"Teacher, he's here." Fors introduced solemnly, "He's Gehrman Sparrow."

Dorian Gray Abraham opened his mouth slightly after seeing this, but he forgot to close it and did not respond for a short while.

Although he came from an ancient family and knew many secrets, he was only at Sequence 7, so there were many things he could not truly imagine even after seeing the descriptions.

After Klein regained consciousness, he reached inside his clothes and took out a gold pocket watch.

He opened his pocket watch, took a look, and said to Dorian without any emotion:

"You have three minutes."

...Exactly the same as the rumors, cold, arrogant, crazy...Dorian didn't dare to waste time and said directly:

"Give me a reason to believe in your promise."

Klein closed his pocket watch and put it back inside his clothes, saying:

"In fact, I have mastered the ritual to bring Mr. 'Gate' back."

Dorian's eyes lit up, and he was about to ask, but he heard Gehrman Sparrow calmly add:

“But I’m not going to do that.”

"Why?" Dorian and Fors both looked puzzled, but one dared to ask while the other didn't.

Klein glanced out the window and said:

"Do you know about the pollution from the stars?"

Apart from the true God and the angels, the Abraham family definitely ranked first in terms of understanding of the starry sky. Klein believed that they must have left behind some hints and obscure records.

Dorian nodded solemnly and said:

"Know."

"I suspect Mr. Door has been contaminated by the starry sky," Klein explained simply. "As for my promise, there is a way to fulfill it now, but you may not be willing to do it, and that does not completely solve the curse."

"What method?" Dorian asked, suppressing his excitement.

Klein's expression suddenly became serious:

"You and your family members should convert to my Lord. Then, during the full moon and blood moon, you will be blessed and no longer be troubled by the curse."

After completely digesting the "Ancient Scholar" potion, Klein no longer needed to avoid Mr. "Door"'s mumbling by pulling people into the gray fog. He could directly use "Angel's Embrace" to solve the problem. The only thing he needed to worry about now was that there might be too many people in the Abraham family, and they might not be busy or spiritual enough.

"...Who is your master?" Dorian was silent for a moment and then asked.

Klein suppressed his shame and said solemnly:

"The great Mr. Fool."

"'Fool'...are you from the Antigonus family?" Dorian suddenly had some associations.

Klein shook his head, denying the other party's speculation.

Dorian was silent again, but considering that there was only three minutes, he hurriedly asked:

"By believing in that person, we can be free from the curse?"

As a member of an ancient family, he knew very well how dangerous it was to believe in an unknown being. He was afraid that after resolving Mr. Door's mumblings, he would be burdened with another curse.

Klein answered calmly:

"This is only a temporary solution. I will find a better solution for you."

Dorian nodded and said quickly:

"I will try to believe in your Lord and give you the formula for the Planeswalker's potion. If this can really temporarily resolve the curse, we can complete the transaction for the Level 0 Sealed Artifact."

He planned to use himself as a test subject to see if the method was effective, and he was not going to tell other family members, letting them wait for the better method that Gehrman Sparrow mentioned until they could no longer wait.

“Okay.” Klein took out a pen and paper from his pocket and quickly wrote down the name of “The Fool.”

Dorian also began to use the crystal ball to assist his memory and record the formula of the "Planeswalker" potion.

After the exchange, Klein turned his attention directly to the auxiliary materials and ritual parts:

“Supplementary materials: one star worm, one time worm, and one spirit worm.

"Ascension Ceremony: Leave a legend in nine places outside this planet."
