I touched the wrong thing.
"Awake?" His eyes were dark and deep, and his voice sounded a little low and hoarse.
Jian Ci didn't take it to heart. She just hummed, closed her eyes again, and asked vaguely, "What time is it?"
Qin Shizheng reached out and gently rubbed her temple, again and again. "It's past nine o'clock. Are you hungry?"
"Um."
"I asked them to prepare dinner?"
"Um."
"You slept well today."
"Um."
The little girl was obviously not awake. She curled up in his arms, her brows slightly relaxed, and she looked very much enjoying it.
Qin Shizheng was naturally willing to pamper her, rubbing her little by little, his voice magnetic, "See that I am by your side, so that you can sleep well."
The corners of Jian Ci's mouth curved slightly, rarely refusing to refute him, "Yeah."
Who knew that someone would become even more aggressive? He took Jian Ci's hand, leaned closer and said, "Then I'll sleep with you from now on?"
Jian Ci couldn't help but chuckle when she heard this, "Okay, I'll report to your mother then."
Qin Shizheng: "..."
Then he might really get a complete childhood.
"Or I can wait until my grandfather wakes up and report to him."
Qin Shizheng: "..."
Then he might be beaten to death.
Seeing that he looked deflated and silent, Jian Ci laughed so hard that her shoulders started shaking.
Qin Shizheng smiled helplessly.
Then he suggested, "Do you want to go out for a walk tomorrow?"
Jian Ci leaned slightly to the side and asked, "Do you want to go out?"
Qin Shizheng rubbed her head and replied, "I'm worried you'll be too bored here."
Jian Ci thought for a moment and said, "Then let's go to the research institute tomorrow."
Qin Shizheng: "..."
He said helplessly, "You're so young, don't always think about work."
Jian Ci said nonchalantly, "There's nothing we can do about it. Children from poor families have to grow up early."
Qin Shizheng chuckled softly.
Is she still poor?
If she is considered poor, then there are no poor people in this world.
So, he joked, "I'm quite wealthy. Why don't you marry me and my property will be yours."
Jian Ci, who had originally closed her eyes to rest, was stunned for a moment.
She slowly opened her eyes and curled her lips in a smile, "Why, your fiancée is still not satisfied?"
Qin Shizheng chuckled softly, "I'll be satisfied only when I'm officially promoted."
"Are you satisfied with just being a regular employee?" Jian Ci lazily sighed, "I thought you still wanted a son and a daughter to be satisfied."
Qin Shizheng curled his lips shallowly, "One girl is enough."
Jian Ci raised her eyebrows, "Preferring girls to boys?"
"I want to see what you looked like as a child."
Qin Shizheng gently stroked her delicate, cold, white skin with his fingertips, and there was tenderness in his clear and elegant eyes.
Just one glance and you'd be tempted to drown yourself in it.
Jian Ci curled up the corners of her mouth silently.
Qin Shizheng's eyes unconsciously fell on her red lips, and his mind couldn't help but think of the little hand that had just caused trouble.
His dark eyes deepened.
Just as I lowered my head, there was a knock on the door.
“Knock knock knock—”
