Behind the gauze, a woman lay quietly on the bed.
The woman is over fifty-one, but perhaps God has always favored beauties, and even the years have not left too many traces on her.
Her skin was as white as jade, her eyebrows were slender, and her long black hair spread out on the bed like a waterfall, revealing a sense of tranquility and peace, but also an indescribable laziness.
Sheng Shijing looked at her quietly, with no emotion in his dark eyes.
After an unknown amount of time, he withdrew his gaze, stood up and walked out.
But just as he turned around, the woman behind him suddenly opened her eyes slowly. Her eyes were a little blurry, but she still recognized his back accurately.
A lazy voice called him: "Xiao Jing, you're here."
Sheng Shijing's back tensed slightly, but he relaxed the next second and sat back on the bed, looking at her with lowered brows: "I just came to see you, why are you awake?"
Sheng Shaoqiong and Sheng Shijing looked quite similar, with a hint of helplessness in their eyes. "Maybe it's because I'm getting older. I find it harder to fall asleep. I wake up at the slightest noise."
Sheng Shijing frowned: "Are all the spices from before useless?"
Sheng Shaoqiong casually took a cigarette from the cabinet beside the bed, lit it, and said nonchalantly: "I asked someone to send it back to your father."
"Those things are not only expensive, but also useless. They make me feel groggy every day and I can't sleep well. They are worse than this."
She shook the cigarette in her hand.
