Chapter 4 The old lady is quite brave

It was an hour later when Xie Xihe came out of the pharmacy. The girl's already pale face became even paler, and even her sparkling peach blossom eyes seemed to have dimmed.

But you can see that he is in a good mood.

Sheng Shijing and the other person were no longer in the hall, and Xie Xihe was not surprised.

After thinking about it, he walked to the counter.

He opened the medicine jar in his hand and took out half of the pill. Just as he was about to hand it to the salesperson, the door to the backyard opened again.

Sheng Shijing walked out from it.

Xie Xihe paused, turned the pill around, and handed it to Sheng Shijing: "Thank you."

She looked at him steadily and thanked him again earnestly: "Thank you."

It was not until she entered the pharmacy that Xie Xihe discovered that the green magnolia that the salesperson packed for her was not the two cents she had asked for, but one kilogram like the other medicinal herbs.

You don't have to think to know who it means.

She could probably guess the other party's purpose, but it was undeniable that he did help her a lot.

Then she wouldn't mind giving something back.

Sheng Shijing looked at her deeply, then raised his hand to take the pill.

But he didn't leave immediately. Instead, he continued to walk out and said, "Let's go, I'll take you to the hospital."

Xie Xihe didn't move.

Sheng Shijing paused and turned to look at her: "I just took the old man's order to visit Uncle Xie on his behalf. It's just on the way."

Xie Xihe looked at him, pursed his lips, and finally took a step forward.

Sheng Shijing withdrew his gaze, and where the girl couldn't see, the corners of his lips curled up slightly.

There was a long queue in front of the hospital. Xie Xihe greeted Sheng Shijing and got out of the car and went in first.

As soon as he stepped out of the elevator, he saw the operating room with the red light still on from a distance, and Xie Xihe's heart instantly settled down.

I hope nothing happened...

She squeezed the medicine jar in her hand and quickened her pace towards the operating room. Before she got close, she heard several familiar voices.

"It's been almost two hours, why hasn't Xiaoxi come back yet? Could something have happened?" A woman's gentle voice sounded, filled with deep worry. It was Xie Xihe's sister-in-law Xue Wanyu.

When Old Lady Xie heard the name, her heart ached. She couldn't help but snort in anger, "Why do you care about her? If it weren't for her, how could the old man become like this? It's best if she doesn't come back, so that you don't get upset when you see her!"

Xue Wanyu said helplessly, "Mom, I've already checked it out. The information was collected and sorted by one of Xiaoxi's haters and secretly left at our door. When Mrs. Wang saw it, she didn't know what to do with it, so she took it home temporarily. Unexpectedly, Dad saw it in a blink of an eye."

She said softly, "This matter actually has nothing to do with Xiaoxi. If anyone is to blame, it's only that anti-fan who is so wicked."

Upon hearing this, Madam Xie's expression not only did not soften, but became even uglier. She angrily said, "It has nothing to do with her. What do you mean it has nothing to do with her?"

"If she hadn't insisted on entering the entertainment industry and caused so much trouble, who would have had so much free time and energy to collect negative information about her, and even come all the way here to leave it at our doorstep?"

"Everything has a cause and an effect. This is the cause she sowed, but she has made our whole family suffer the consequences!"

Madam Xie became more and more angry as she spoke, and even her breathing became difficult. She couldn't help but take two long breaths.

Xie Mingzhu, who had been sitting quietly beside her, immediately raised her hand and gently stroked her back, whispering, "No matter who it is or what happens, it's not as important as your health. Grandma, please don't be angry."

She looked at the door of the operating room not far away, her eyes stained with red, and said in a hoarse voice: "Grandpa is already like this, and we don't know if he can be saved. If you get sick again due to anger, our family will be finished..."

Among all the family members, apart from her little grandson, Mrs. Xie loved her granddaughter Xie Mingzhu the most. Seeing her crying, she immediately felt distressed and said quickly, "Okay, okay, grandma, don't be angry. My little Mingzhu, please stop crying."

"Don't worry, grandma knows her limits and won't ruin herself for those insignificant people."

Xie Mingzhu burst into laughter and said, "Well, I'm glad grandma isn't angry."

Old Madam Xie was very pleased when she saw her well-behaved and sensible granddaughter. When she was about to look away, she turned around and met another cold face.

Who else could it be but her troublesome daughter?

Her expression, which had just softened, suddenly tensed up. Old Madam Xie said sternly, "You still remember to come back? What are you doing back?!"

"You think that pissing off your dad isn't enough, so you want to piss me off too?!"

Xie Xihe paused, a smile that looked like a smile or sarcasm appeared on the corner of his lips. He glanced at her and said casually, "I won't bother you with anything you can do yourself."

Old Madam Xie was stunned for a moment, not understanding what she meant. When she came to her senses, she was so angry that she almost fell over.

Xie Xihe...Xie Xihe felt quite regretful.

The old lady was quite patient and it was impossible for her to get some peace and quiet.

Mrs. Xie was so angry that her fingers were shaking. After a long while, she managed to utter a few words: "You evil girl!"

"As long as my dad doesn't think I'm evil, that's all that matters. As for what you think..." Xie Xihe smiled nonchalantly, "I don't really care. You don't have to tell me."

"If you really can't hold it in, you can tell them. They should be happy to listen." Xie Xihe glanced at Xue Wanyu and Xie Mingzhu and said with a smile.

Somehow, the three of them suddenly thought of their conversation before Xie Xihe appeared, and their faces froze at the same time.

It finally quieted down for a minute.

Xie Xihe withdrew his gaze and walked straight towards the operating room.

It was not until she stopped at the door of the operating room and was about to raise her hand to press the call bell beside the door that Xie Tingyuan, who had been looking in the direction where Xie Xihe was coming, suddenly came to his senses.

His brows knitted tightly together.

He immediately rushed forward and slapped Xie Xihe's hand aside, shouting angrily, "Xie Xihe, what are you doing?!"

A burning pain came from the back of his hand. Xie Xihe looked at his skin which had instantly turned red and swollen. The coldness between his brows deepened little by little, and was stained with a slightly reddish color.
