Kitali extra chapter 2

Kitali extra chapter 2

Changping saw the brave lady again at a banquet two days after the autumn hunt.

She heard that the man couldn't tolerate the smell of alcohol, not even fruit wine, and was now hiding by the lake to get rid of the smell of alcohol.

Looking at the people standing by the lake enjoying the early autumn sunshine, Changping couldn't help but wave to the maid following him and walked over alone.

"Princess Changping."

Before I got close, a woman's voice suddenly came from the side.

Changping turned around and saw a petite girl standing among the flowers. She was wearing a light green waist-length skirt and had a beautiful face.

"Are you... the third daughter of Master Chen?" Changping remembered someone introducing her that day while riding. She seemed to have recently returned to Beijing with her father, having been exiled from the capital. She hadn't seen her much.

"Yes," the woman took a light step forward and said with a smile, "I didn't expect the princess to remember me."

"Sister, you are beautiful. This princess naturally remembers you," Changping said with a smile. She remembered Anle once saying that Miss Chen San grew up in Jiangnan. The climate and soil there nourished her, and she was born beautiful, with crystal clear and tender skin that was a real eye-catcher.

Different from the cute and rosy girl from Changping, Miss Chen San is a delicate and weak beauty.

"I heard that the princess wants to discuss marriage with Lord Beili? Is that true?" Miss Chen San bit her lip and suddenly mustered up the courage to ask.

Why did she ask so bluntly? Changping blushed and spoke incoherently, "Oh, that, that's what my parents wanted..."

"My princess, you mean that you don't like him?" Miss Chen San's face lit up with joy.

Changping was stunned and shook his head subconsciously, "No, no..."

Suddenly, she froze. What had she said? Did she, did she mean... like him? Changping gasped and clutched her chest, her heart suddenly beating rapidly. A hint of sweetness she didn't understand seeped out from her rapidly beating heart.

There seemed to be something…off about her.

Miss Chen San looked at her and her face suddenly turned red, her eyes darkened.

"I, I have something to do, so I'll go first." Changping turned around hurriedly, wanting to find Anle to tell her about her abnormality.

Suddenly, she felt an impact from behind and fell forward out of control, falling into the lake.

"Someone come, Princess Changping fell into the lake!"

Anxious and shrill screams suddenly filled the entire courtyard. The maids following Changping were startled and ran over quickly. They saw that the blue figure was almost drowned. They were so scared that their faces turned pale.

"Quick, this way!" Miss Chen San, who was so scared that she was incoherent, noticed the two guards walking into the corridor and waved to them hurriedly.

Changping's maid was startled and quickly stopped her.

With a splash, a figure leaped into the lake. Simultaneously, a pink-clad maid stopped two guards who were about to approach. Several women, having heard the noise, hurried out from the direction of the banquet hall. Upon seeing the situation in the lake, their faces darkened and they quickly called for help to control the situation.

The girls who were familiar with Changping rushed over after hearing the news, and Anle ran to the lake anxiously.

Soon, with a splash, a woman emerged from the lake, holding Changping, who had his eyes closed, in her arms.

"Princess!" The maids from Prince Xin's mansion rushed over, one of them flinging open her cloak to protect the person being pulled ashore. Anle, led by several other girls, surrounded Changping.

Another pretty maid also opened her cloak and wrapped her master who came ashore later. Several young ladies ran to her side, greeting her anxiously.

"Thank you, Madam, for saving my life!" Changping's maid quickly calmed down, glanced at the woman with her hair in a bun, and knelt down gracefully, "Prince Xin's Mansion will remember this favor."

"Go ahead." Qi Ruoyu rubbed his nose and shook his head.

Manju quickly helped her up and said distressedly, "Madam, let's go back quickly too. Be careful not to catch a cold."

"Yes, Aruo, hurry back. I'll have someone bring you some ginger soup. It's autumn now, don't catch a cold!" The young woman with phoenix eyes frowned and shook her hand. "Don't worry, we're here."

"That's right, Zhenzhu and Agate, quickly send your wife back! Ruoruo, there's a hot spring in your villa. Take a bath in it when you get back to drive away the cold." Another round-faced woman advised.

Aruo sneezed, nodded to his friends, and then went back surrounded by pearls and agates.

"What is going on?" a middle-aged woman wearing a pearl crown asked with a serious face.

Everyone's eyes fell on Miss Chen San, who was leaning against her maid with red eyes.

Her pretty face was pale as she spoke weakly, "I was passing by here and said a few words to Princess Changping. She suddenly said she wanted to go back... Who knew she would twist her ankle and fall into the lake? I, I, I was anxious, and I can't swim... I was so scared that I didn't know what to do. I could only hurriedly call for help. Luckily, I met that lady..."

She spoke in a panic, her eyes seemed to be filled with tears, and her pale little face looked pitiful, obviously she was frightened.

Seeing this, several little girls hurried forward to comfort her.

"That person... seems to be the young lady of the Su family?" one of them suddenly said.

As soon as the words fell, everyone's faces changed slightly. Several ladies with doubtful eyes smiled and said, "It must be her. I just saw Madam Su leave in a hurry."

"Then don't worry about it. It's good that it was an accident. Otherwise, that evil star will definitely get to the bottom of it." The woman who was familiar with Madam Su smiled, hinting at something.

Hearing this, Miss Chen San leaned against her maid and took a deep breath, her face turning even paler.

When Princess Xin rushed back to the villa after hearing the news, Changping had already woken up and cleaned himself up.

"My daughter, are you okay?" Princess Xin checked her daughter over. Seeing that she looked pale but in good spirits, she felt relieved. "How could you be so careless? Didn't I tell you not to go near the water alone? If it wasn't Madam Su, what would you have done?"

She later heard the maid's report that the scream had attracted the attention of others. Even if her daughter had not been rescued by the guards, she would have been exposed to the men outside. By then...

"Mother, I'm fine. Don't worry, I... was just flustered and careless..." Maybe he was so flustered that he didn't pay attention to his feet. Changping was not sure, so he could only comfort his mother in a low voice.

"You, what can we do with this kind of temper?" Princess Xin just couldn't believe that there would be so many accidents, she snorted coldly.

Her daughter grew up peacefully in the royal family, so why did an accident happen just as the news of the marriage was first leaked?

"By the way, mother, I haven't thanked Madam Su yet." Changping had always wanted to get close to that woman, and now that she had saved his life, he felt even more drawn to her.

"Don't worry, Princess. I've just gone over to express my gratitude. They said that their master was a little frightened and the lady needs to be comforted. They have all gone to bed, so you don't have to worry about them." The head maid said hurriedly.

The head maid was a little puzzled. The person delivering the message was a pretty maid with clear eyes and capable expression, but her words were a bit disjointed. It sounded as if Master Su was frightened.

Princess Changping and Princess Xin focused on expressing their gratitude and did not delve into the matter further.

"Okay, mother, I will send gifts over right away. After we return, your father and I will come to your house to express our gratitude." Generally speaking, the prince and important officials should not have too close interactions, but with this favor in mind, it is only natural for her and the prince to come in person.

Changping nodded obediently and moved closer to his mother's warm arms.

It was rumored that Mrs. Su, who was frightened after falling into the water, took a lot of effort to comfort her husband who was really frightened. By then, it was already late at night and she was so tired that she fell asleep as soon as she hit the bed.

The comforted Lord Su considerately dried his wife's long hair with cotton cloth. There was a hint of satisfaction between his brows, and he looked at her lazily until the soft black hair was dryly wrapped around his fingertips, and then he gave her a light kiss with satisfaction.

The person lying on his side was breathing deeply. His wrists and the back of his neck, which were exposed outside his clothes, were covered with ambiguous red marks. His rosy face was half buried in the quilt, making him look delicate and adorable.

"Sir, there's a message from Lord Kitasato."

From outside, Pearl's voice sank lower. She was known for her savvy in foreign affairs, primarily responsible for those matters, and a capable assistant in helping Aruo quickly integrate into different circles.

"Speak." Su Zirui traced his wife's eyebrows with his fingertips and said softly.

"Lord Beili said that he would handle this matter. He and Prince Xin's Mansion have both remembered this favor."

There was no response from the room for a while, so Pearl slowly retreated and was replaced by the night watchman.

Su Zirui's eyes darkened slightly. Beili said this because he was afraid he would take action. He was indeed a little unhappy about not being able to take action, but...

"Prince Xin... Prince Pingyang is about to close in, so Prince Xin could be of use."

The whispered words stopped as he lay down. He reached out and turned the person with her back to him over, pulling her into his arms. The exhausted person whimpered, and out of habit, she put her arm around his waist and leaned closer.

After rubbing her warm forehead and calculating every bill, Su Zirui closed his eyes in satisfaction.
