In the car, Bai Qianmo's phone rang.
It was Xia Wei calling.
"Qianmo, are you free tonight?"
Bai Qianmo glanced at Gu Jueye, pondered for a moment, and then said, "Nothing's wrong, why?"
Xia Wei's soft laughter came from the other end of the phone: "I wanted to treat you to a meal as a way of thanking you. I saw the news this morning. Everyone knows about Wu Zouyang and Man Xueni's scandal. I'm so happy to see them get the punishment they deserve, so I thought I'd ask you out for a meal so we can have a good chat."
"Okay, where shall we meet?"
"I know a really good hot pot restaurant. I'll send you the address later."
"good."
After hanging up the phone, Xia Wei sent the detailed address via WeChat.
Bai Qianmo handed the address to Gu Jueye: "Please take me here."
Gu Jueye gave Bai Qianmo a deep look, then scanned the address on his phone.
He originally planned to let her rest in his apartment all afternoon and then take her back in the evening.
He specifically looked it up online and found that bed rest was the best option.
However, seeing that the little girl had already agreed to her friend's date, he ultimately didn't voice his thoughts.
Upon arriving at the entrance of Beilian Shopping Mall, Bai Qianmo prepared to get out of the car, and Gu Jueye reached out and took her hand.
His warm, large hand intertwined tightly with her small hand: "I'll pick you up tonight. Today is our first day together, so please allow your boyfriend to fulfill his duties."
Bai Qianmo smiled at him and said, "Okay."
Staring at her smile, Gu Jueye gently ruffled her long hair with a good mood: "Go ahead."
Bai Qianmo waved her hand and turned to open the door, but suddenly stopped, smiled mischievously, and then turned around abruptly, wrapping her fair arms around Gu Jueye's neck and leaning in to quickly plant a kiss on his lips.
She then rushed out of the car as if fleeing, and after running a few steps, she turned back, raised an eyebrow and smiled at the man inside the car, waved, and turned to walk towards the mall.
Gu Jueye reached out and touched his lips, his eyes filled with a warm smile.
