On the bus
Bai Qianmo tilted her head and gazed out the window.
Night has fallen, and the city has shed its hustle and bustle. The entire city is bathed in dazzling neon lights, obscuring the starlight and the gentle beauty of the moonlight.
Unbeknownst to her, she had become part of the city, and there were people in the city she cared about.
Thinking back to what happened last night, it seemed like she had drunk too much, but if it hadn't been him that night, things wouldn't have gotten this far.
Bai Qianmo's hand, which was resting on her lap, was suddenly gripped tightly. She snapped out of her thoughts and looked at the man who was focused on driving.
Have you had dinner yet?
No, have you eaten?
Gu Jueye glanced at Bai Qianmo and tightened his grip on her intertwined hand: "I haven't eaten either, what would you like to eat?"
Bai Qianmo glanced at him in surprise. Last night, he had called Ye Qianning and they seemed to have arranged to meet in the afternoon. It was already this late, and she thought he should have already eaten.
Seeing the surprise flash in the little girl's eyes, Gu Jueye chuckled.
"Today, my maternal grandfather brought my uncle back to the Qin family from the military hospital. The family needs to purchase some professional medical equipment. Ye Qianning is a doctor and knows my uncle's condition, so this afternoon I asked her to help purchase the medical equipment."
Bai Qianmo pursed her lips, shifting her gaze from Gu Jueye's face, a hint of guilt flashing in her eyes.
Was her jealousy really that obvious?

Bai Qianmo thought for a moment and said, "Let's go to the restaurant we went to the first time."
Gu Jueye paused for a moment, then said, "Okay."
Twenty minutes later
Bai Qianmo stood at the entrance of Jianhe Restaurant, looking into the restaurant.
Seeing the packed hall, Bai Qianmo felt a surge of surprise.
The last time she came, it was during the lunch rush, and the restaurant was very quiet. She thought the restaurant was not doing well.
Looking back now, I think someone must have cleared the area out back then!
Entering the restaurant
The two chose an empty seat by the window and sat down. The restaurant waiter quickly came over with the menu.
Because of their striking good looks, the two attracted a lot of attention when they entered the restaurant.
Two well-dressed young women were sitting at a table not far away.
"Isn't that Bai Qianmo? Who's that man next to her?"
A girl curiously looked at Bai Qianmo and Gu Jueye's table.
The girl sitting opposite her kept her eyes fixed on that handsome figure, her hand gripping her chopsticks tightening unconsciously, and she could clearly feel her heart beating faster.
"Maybe she's a friend," Ye Mengyao said casually, pretending to eat with her head down to hide her emotions.
Bai Qianmo and Lord Jue just came in together, holding hands intimately, clearly a couple deeply in love.
Ye Mengyao felt very uncomfortable that someone like Bai Qianmo could be favored by the Duke.

Gu Jueye's gaze swept lightly across Ye Mengyao's face, then he picked up a bowl and plate and served Bai Qianmo a bowl of soup.
"Since we're not familiar with each other, there's no need to greet each other. Just eat your food."
Bai Qianmo responded and obediently drank the soup with her spoon.
"You're too thin, you need to eat more."
Bai Qianmo's cheeks flushed involuntarily. She looked down at her chest and said, "I'm not exactly thin, am I? I'm too fat to look good on camera."
Gu Jueye could tell that the little girl had misunderstood. He raised an eyebrow and said with a teasing tone, "There's still room for development."
Bai Qianmo: "..."
Her already flushed cheeks turned completely red from his overly ambiguous words.
Gu Jueye's phone suddenly rang. He picked it up, glanced at the caller ID, and his handsome brows furrowed slightly.
