Bai Kangyan looked at Bai Qianmo and gently patted her thin shoulder.
“If it’s just being Xi Ruo’s assistant, Dad wouldn’t be willing either, but Xi Ruo said she wants you to start as her assistant, hone your skills, accumulate experience, and develop in the direction of becoming a manager.”
Bai Qianmo raised an eyebrow slightly: "Did Bai Xiruo say that?"
Bai Kangyan paused for a moment, then nodded and said, "Of course, if you don't want to, we won't force you. Originally, your mother and I wanted you to continue your studies for a few more years before you started working."
"Go to school?" Slightly surprised.
"Well, the '3+2' type of technical colleges have relatively lower educational requirements; junior high school graduates can enroll, so you don't need to worry too much about that."
As if struck by a thought, Bai Qianmo chuckled.
The laughter was faint, conveying a sense of casualness.
Bai Qianmo picked up the water glass in front of her on the dining table and took a sip of water.
He spoke slowly, "Don't worry about my affairs. Just tell your wife so she can have some peace of mind too."
After saying this, Bai Qianmo put down her water glass, stood up, and walked out of the restaurant.
As if remembering something, he paused slightly.
He turned around and glanced indifferently at Bai Kangyan.
"As for being Bai Xiruo's assistant? I'm afraid she can't afford it."
He curled his lips into a smile, then casually slipped one hand into the pocket of his black pajama pants and walked away with his aloof figure toward the stairwell.
Bai Kangyan sat silently at the dining table, somewhat lost in thought.
With his hands crossed on the dining table, his brows furrowed, he stared thoughtfully at Bai Qianmo's departing figure.
He always felt that his daughter was fascinated by everything about her.
He couldn't figure out what she was thinking.
