Chapter 264 One Step Away from Living Together

Gu Jueye quickly sat up and reached out his long arm to scoop the person on the bed up.

"Let's go now."

Bai Qianmo chuckled lightly: "You can't drive after drinking."

"Someone gave us a ride."

When Bai Qianmo had packed all her luggage into the car, Gu Jueye finally understood the true meaning of her words: "You may really need to take me home."

However, the thought that she would also be living in Jinyu Huating in the future, and coincidentally in the same building as him, made Gu Jueye feel exceptionally good.

The Gu family drove them back to Jinyu Huating and moved their luggage to Bai Qianmo's residence.

Gu Jueye lives on the 19th floor, while Bai Qianmo's apartment is on the 17th floor; the two are only two floors apart.

Bai Qianmo opened the door and was greeted by an entryway. Passing through the entryway, she arrived at the living room. There was a partition between the dining room and the living room, which was a semi-open kitchen. The room was decorated in a Scandinavian style, mainly in white and gray tones, simple and elegant. Bai Qianmo fell in love with the place at first sight.

Looking back on the Longxi Garden where she lived when she first came to the capital, she never felt a sense of belonging there.

Afterwards, he stayed temporarily at the Bai family's old house. Although he was accompanied by his grandfather and aunt, he always felt like a guest.

Only here is she truly at home in this unfamiliar city.

Gu Jueye walked behind Bai Qianmo and wrapped his long arm around her from behind.

"The room has been unoccupied for a long time and needs to be thoroughly cleaned."

"Well, I don't have anything to do this afternoon, so I'll stay home and clean. Don't worry about me, go back to work."

On the way back, Gu Jueye's phone kept ringing, presumably because there was something urgent that he needed to deal with.

“The room is too big, you can’t manage it all by yourself. I’ll call Aunt Mei and ask her to come and help.”

Aunt Mei was a maid at the Gu family's old house. After Gu Jueye moved to Jinyu Huating, Aunt Mei would come over every few days to clean the room.

"No need, I can manage on my own. You go ahead and do your work."

Gu Jueye gently turned Bai Qianmo's body towards him: "Really?"

Bai Qianmo nodded solemnly.

Gu Jueye sighed helplessly, "Alright then, I'll come back as soon as I've finished dealing with things. Don't push yourself if you're tired."

Bai Qianmo felt a warmth in her heart and obediently nodded: "Okay!"

She personally saw Gu Jueye off to the door. As they reached the door, Gu Jueye pulled her into a tight embrace and sighed softly, reluctant to part, "Wait for me to come back."

Bai Qianmo wrapped her arms around his waist, buried her head in his broad chest, and listened to his strong heartbeat. She even had the illusion of seeing her husband off to work.

After Gu Jueye left, Bai Qianmo put on a dustproof coat and a wide-brimmed hat, and began cleaning from the master bedroom.

The house seems to have been cleaned regularly; although there was a thin layer of dust, it was generally clean.

It only took a little over two hours to clean everything.
