The few people with superpowers in this world are distributed all over the world. These people have a consensus that they should not easily reveal their unique identity.
To normal people, they are an oddball. When ordinary people see them using their abilities, they might even regard them as demons.
Xiao Yan is still young and doesn't understand the wickedness of people's hearts, while I have been through that time.
Back in that village, she had a good relationship with the little girl next door. The father of that girl was an alcoholic who was addicted to alcohol and would beat his wife and children whenever he came home drunk.
One time, she happened to be playing at her friend's house when the man came back drunk. He cursed and yelled for a while, but when that wasn't enough, he picked up a stick and started beating his wife and children.
She couldn't stand it, so she went up, grabbed the man, and threw him out the door. She thought she was helping the mother and daughter, but afterwards they spread rumors that she was a freak. When the girl saw her again, she turned and ran away as if she had seen a ghost.
That experience made her, at the tender age of five, realize that she was an outsider.
Pulling herself back to reality, Bai Qianmo said seriously, "Xiao Yan, don't easily reveal this skill of yours to outsiders in the future, understand?"
Xiao Yan blinked, looking confused, and asked, "Why?"
Bai Qianmo looked at the child in front of her with warm eyes and reached out to touch his soft short hair: "Because most people don't have this skill, they will treat you as a monster. You will lose your relatives and friends because of this. People who originally liked you may avoid you and hate you."
She had experienced these things herself when she was young, so she didn't want to see Xiaoyan go through something similar to what she had gone through.
Xiao Yan seemed to understand, but still nodded obediently.

Bai Qianmo held Xiao Yan's little hand, and the two of them, one big and one small, walked back along the path.
"Sister, is the chocolate delicious?"
Bai Qianmo felt a little guilty thinking that the chocolate Xiao Yan had given her was still in her bag.
To adults, chocolate is just a piece of candy, but to children, candy is their most precious possession.
"It's especially delicious."
Xiao Yan tilted her head and asked, "What flavor does chocolate taste like?"
Bai Qianmo was taken aback and looked down at him: "You haven't eaten this before?"
The little guy always carries chocolate with him, how could he not have tried it?
Xiao Yan shook her head: "My great-grandmother said I had a serious illness and can't eat sweets."
Bai Qianmo looked at the four-year-old child in front of her and felt a little sorry for him: "Chocolate is very sweet. I'll buy you some when you get better, okay?"
Xiao Yan's eyes immediately curved into a smile; this was the kind of smile that should belong to someone her age.
Hall entrance
Old Master Wei and his wife saw Xiao Yan's smile and were both astonished.
Old Wei snapped out of his reverie and gave a meaningful laugh: "I was right, wasn't I? Our Xiao Yan really likes this girl."
Madam Wei was truly taken aback. Although Xiao Yan was very well-behaved and obedient, he never smiled, not even when he was with his great-grandmother. She never expected that his first smile would be given to a strange girl.
I felt a little disappointed for some reason.
Bai Qianmo pulled Xiao Yan inside.
Madam Wei suppressed her slight disappointment and went to greet them with great joy.
"Hurry up and wash your hands before eating."
Bai Qianmo pulled Xiaoyan to wash their hands, and then Old Master Wei, Old Madam Wei, Bai Qianmo, and Xiaoyan sat at a dining table.
The table was laden with a sumptuous dinner.
During the meal, Madam Wei asked, "Qianmo, you're still young, are you still in school?"
Bai Qianmo didn't want to explain her rather complicated learning experience in too much detail.
"I'm currently a senior in high school."
"Senior year of high school? You're still very young. You look about seventeen or eighteen. Girls this age are in the prime of their youth," Mrs. Wei exclaimed.
Old Wei took a bite of his food, then, as if remembering something, looked at Bai Qianmo and asked, "Why did that boy who was with you at the police station yesterday call you 'boss'?"
Bai Qianmo explained, "I also act in movies while I'm in school. The person I was with yesterday is a colleague from my company."
Mr. Wei replied knowingly, "Which media company do you work for?"
"Tengyue Media".
Old Wei thought about it carefully, going through all the media companies he knew in his mind, and finally shook his head apologetically.
"I'm sorry, I don't think I've ever heard of this company."
Bai Qianmo smiled faintly: "It's normal that you don't know about a small company."
