He and Old Qin had been friends for most of their lives. Although they disliked each other, they had been neighbors for decades, so he understood Old Qin's personality.
"I really like Qianmo, and because of that, I find you much more agreeable. You'd better treat her well."
Old Master Wang thought to himself that Bai Qianmo originally looked exactly like his ancestral grandmother, and he really hoped to match his grandson with Bai Qianmo. Unfortunately, Gu Jueye beat him to it.
Now we can only be Bai Qianmo's family, and we can't let the Qin family's grandson bully us.
Bullying Bai Qianmo is tantamount to insulting the Wang family's ancestral grandmother. How could he allow Lao Qin to ride on his head and run wild?
Gu Jueye looked at Bai Qianmo beside him with a gentle gaze: "It is my honor to be with Qianmo!"
Bai Qianmo felt a warmth in her heart and smiled gently at Gu Jueye.
Old Wang could only sigh as he watched. It seemed this girl and his grandson were destined to be apart.

In the Wang family courtyard
Qin Jingwen saw a swing, walked over and sat down. The midday sun was shining brightly. She swung on the swing, squinted her eyes, and enjoyed the feeling of floating in the air.
She found that the Wang family's courtyard was very elegant and clean, and there were two very beautiful sculptures in the small garden. The sculptures were somewhat abstract in shape, but they looked very comfortable. If it were summer instead of winter, the sculptures would be even more special and stylish in the lush green garden.
"You like swinging?"
Hearing someone speak behind her, Qin Jingwen gasped and tried to stand up, but because the swing was swinging too high and the descent was too fast, she fell forward.
As her entire face was about to smash into the bluestone-paved ground, Qin Jingwen screamed in fright.
As expected, the pain did not come. Instead, a strong arm grabbed her waist, and she felt a blur before her eyes as she landed firmly in a solid chest.
Are you alright?
Qin Jingwen had her back to the other person. After she came to her senses, she immediately broke free from his embrace and turned around to look at the man in front of her.
Wang Jinyu?
Although the two families were neighbors, she and Wang Jinyu went to the same school from kindergarten to high school. Since Wang Jinyu was two grades ahead of her, she had just started school when he was about to graduate. In addition, her grandfather and Wang's grandfather had never had a good relationship, so she and Wang Jinyu hardly spoke to each other.
When we met at school, we acted as if we didn't know each other at all.
Sometimes, when she glanced unintentionally at the Wang family's house from the doorway, she would occasionally see a handsome figure leaning against the century-old banyan tree in the courtyard, reading a book. He always seemed to sense it; whenever she looked at him, he would subconsciously look up at her.
Looking at the man in front of her, Qin Jingwen was somewhat dazed.
After graduating from high school, he chose to study abroad. For the next few years, they never saw each other, and he had transformed from that handsome and clean-cut boy into a calm and handsome man.
This was the first time she had ever seen Wang Jinyu up close. Whenever her friends mentioned Wang Jinyu, a blurry face would appear in her mind.
I remember many girls used to praise him for being handsome, but for some reason, she never bothered to look at him more than once. Perhaps in her heart, no one could surpass her cousin, which is why she developed such a picky eye for handsome men.
Now that I can finally see Wang Jinyu's appearance clearly, I must say, he is actually quite pleasing to the eye. Unlike my cousin, his handsomeness has a touch of refined and clean-cut charm.
Although my cousin appears to be a gentleman, refined and elegant, he is actually rotten to the core.
But Wang Jinyu is different; his refinement comes from within, making him very approachable.
"Jingwen, are you... are you frightened?" Wang Jinyu asked softly, her tone filled with concern.
Qin Jingwen snapped out of her thoughts and gave an awkward, dry laugh.
"I'm fine. Thank you for reaching out and pulling me up in time. Otherwise, my face would probably be disfigured."
"It was my fault. I shouldn't have talked to you behind your back," Wang Jinyu said, looking remorseful.
Thankfully she's alright, otherwise he would have felt very guilty for his recklessness.
Qin Jingwen smiled slightly: "I'm not that timid. I was just thinking about something and didn't pay attention, which is why I fell."
A gentle breeze swept by, lifting a wisp of hair from her forehead, and a faint fragrance wafted through the air.
Wang Jinyu stared at the girl in front of him, momentarily lost in thought.
After several years, she hasn't changed much.
She has a sweet smile, her eyes are curved like crescent moons, and when her face is expressionless, she always gives people a sense of tranquility.
"You like swinging?"
Qin Jingwen nodded: "I especially liked it when I was a child, but as I grew up, I rarely had the chance to play like a child."
Wang Jinyu reached out and grabbed the still swaying rope to stabilize the swing: "Sit on, I'll push you."
Fearing that Qin Jingwen might be frightened, he added, "Don't worry, I'll protect you from the side."
Qin Jingwen's heart skipped a beat for no reason, and she found herself obediently sitting on the swing.
