Bai Qianmo and Su Peishan returned to the company
The company was unusually quiet; even the receptionist was nowhere to be found.
"Is it the weekend today?" Su Peishan took out her phone and glanced at it.
"No, where did everyone go?"
"Boss, Peishan, you're finally back." Li Song hurried over.
"Director Li, where are the people in the company?"
"Director Jiang has gone to find a new filming team. An'an is going to have her costume photos taken with one of our company's artists today. As for the rest of the people... well, let's talk about it in the meeting room."
Chen Xiang also walked over at this moment, looking very unwell.

"So you want me to give you a raise?" Bai Qianmo teased.
Chen Xiang chuckled, "The company is going through its most difficult time right now, how could I possibly have such thoughts? Boss, I'm definitely not that kind of person. Of course, if the company gets back on track in the future and you give me a raise, I wouldn't mind."
Bai Qianmo chuckled softly, "With your unwavering loyalty, you shouldn't care about that little bit of salary, right?"
Chen Xiang: "..."

Why do I feel like I've gotten myself into this mess?
Li Song looked worried and sighed, "Although the employees in the company are hateful, I can understand them. They have mortgages and car loans to pay off and still have to support their families. Bai Qianmo had just returned to her office when she received a call from Bai Kangyan.
Upon seeing the caller ID, Bai Qianmo hesitated for a moment before finally pressing the answer button.
Bai Kangyan felt a little nervous when he saw the call was answered.
"Qianmo, are you free tomorrow?"
"Is there something you need?" The politeness and distance were palpable even through the phone.
Bai Kangyan's words caught in his throat, while Han Songyan, sitting beside him, nervously clenched her fingers.
Bai Kangyan glanced at his wife, took a deep breath, and said, "Tomorrow is your birthday. We'd like to throw a birthday party for you at home. You absolutely have to come tomorrow. Oh, and your grandfather, uncle, aunt, and Yitang will all be there too."
The last sentence is the key point: if you only say you'll throw her a birthday party, Qianmo will most likely refuse.
If she knew that her grandfather, uncle, and aunt would also be going, she would come even if it was just for the sake of her elders.
Having figured this out, Bai Kangyan felt somewhat disappointed.
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone, then Bai Qianmo nodded.
What time tomorrow?
"Invitations were sent to relatives and friends starting at 5 p.m.
