Chapter 866 Fifth Brother, Don't Underestimate People

"Su Peishan, you greet that old man with a beaming smile, practically grinning from ear to ear, but when you see me, it's like I owe you money from a past life. What did I ever do to offend you?"

"If it's because my family members have hurt you in the past, I really want to make it up to you."

Su Peishan's gaze suddenly turned cold as she silently stared at the emotionally agitated man before her.

"If you really want to make it up to me, please treat me like a complete stranger and don't easily reappear in my life. That would be the best way to make it up to me."

Her resolute words left the man's face as cold as ice.

His heart had already been tormented by this woman, leaving it riddled with holes. Why couldn't he give up?

My friend joked that he'd been bewitched by this woman, and now even he himself thinks there's something wrong with him.

She's made her dislike for him so obvious, wishing he'd never appear in front of her again, but why is he so pathetic, always unable to control himself from wanting to see her?

Seeing her brought back by another man, his jealousy burned like a raging fire. He deliberately drank two bottles of wine and came over under the guise of drunken rage, wanting to question her about who that man was.

Ha, how ridiculous.

"So you'd rather serve those old men?"

A sense of humiliation spread through her eyes. Su Peishan bit her lip tightly and stared silently at the man in front of her.

A moment later, she nodded in retaliation.

"That's right. I only feel safe when I'm dating a mature and stable man."

"Bang!"

Su Peishan watched as the other person's fist grazed her cheek, and she immediately closed her eyes in fright.

A hard fist slammed into the sofa, causing the entire sofa to tremble.

Su Peishan froze on the spot, her hands instinctively forming small fists and pressing them against the murderer.

He looked helpless and funny.

Du Muchen glared at her disdainfully, then got up and staggered toward the door.

"Bang, crash."

A loud bang came from the door.

The noise at the door annoyed the neighbors. Just as Du Muchen reached the elevator, a man of medium build and strong physique stormed towards him angrily.

He was wearing a striped, loose-fitting pajama set, shuffling in slippers, his short hair a messy, bird's-nest-like tangle, and his eyes were squinting, as if he had just crawled out of bed.

"You...were you the one who kicked the door down just now...?"

The fat man walked up to Du Muchen and raised his arm, pointing at the tip of Du Muchen's nose.

The fat man was stunned when he saw the handsome young man in front of him.

Why does this kid look so familiar?

The male neighbor, a middle-aged office worker, wasn't interested in entertainment news and hadn't yet connected Du Muchen with a big star.

I just thought this kid was pretty handsome.

But even if he's handsome, that's no excuse for him to stay up late at night, making noise and acting crazy outside the door.

"Don't you have any manners? Ringing the doorbell and kicking the door in the middle of the night, what are you trying to do? Do you believe I'll call the police right now and send you to the police station to sober up?"

Du Muchen leaned against the wall at the elevator entrance. He had only drunk two bottles of beer and was perfectly conscious.

She glanced coldly at her male neighbor, then let out a sneer.

"As people get older, their sleep quality declines, but you middle-aged men just can't accept that you're old. All you think about all day is how to pick up young and beautiful girls."

With a soft hum, Du Muchen lazily narrowed his eyes.

"Uncle, drink more goji berry tea."

"Ding-dong!"

The elevator doors slowly opened, and Du Muchen's tall figure stepped inside.

The male neighbor pointed at him angrily, his face flushed.

"You...you brat, you're talking nonsense. If you've got the guts, come out here."

The elevator doors slowly closed, and the male neighbor's wife hurried out, worried that her husband might actually get into a fight with someone else.

"Honey, forget it, everyone's gone. Let's go back to sleep quickly, we have to go to work early tomorrow morning."

"Hmph, young people these days are getting more and more ill-mannered. Running around here in the middle of the night instead of sleeping and acting crazy. I argued with him and he didn't show any remorse. Luckily he ran away fast enough, otherwise I would have really taught him a lesson."

Facing his wife, the man rolled up his pajama sleeves, looking quite imposing.

The wife didn't say anything, but glanced at the door of Su Peishan's house next door.

"Our neighbor next door seems to be a young woman, and that man might be her boyfriend. It's inevitable that young couples will have some emotional outbursts when they argue. Let's just pretend we didn't see anything and avoid trouble."

Neighbors in the city have always lived their own lives and didn't bother each other.

Although both families have lived in this neighborhood for many years, they have never had a close relationship.

Even when they occasionally bumped into each other, neither of them took the initiative to greet each other.

Upon hearing her neighbor enter, Su Peishan, who was standing inside the door, collapsed weakly to the ground, secretly relieved.

It seemed like a big problem had been solved, but now that Du Muchen was really gone, she felt inexplicably empty inside.

She scratched her messy long hair vigorously, lost in thought.

Since you've already decided to cut ties with him completely, you shouldn't have these thoughts anymore.

next day

When Bai Qianmo got up in the morning and arrived at the second-floor restaurant, she saw Gu Jueye walking in side by side with a tall, elegant young woman.

"Are you feeling better?" the woman asked with concern as she followed Gu Jueye this way.

Gu Jueye nodded and noticed Bai Qianmo at the bottom of the stairs, his gaze immediately turning towards her.

"You're up?"

"Hmm!" Bai Qianmo looked at the woman next to Gu Jueye.
