Gu Yue was the first to get out of the car, meeting Bai Qianmo's disappointed gaze.
"You're waiting for Fifth Master, right? He won't be back at the research institute for the next two days. I'm also leaving the capital soon. Before I leave, Fifth Master asked me to tell you that if Ye Yun comes looking for you, you must wait for him to return."

Gu Yue nodded: "I'll arrange for someone to keep an eye on her."
She knew very well that the person her niece hated most was Bai Qianmo.

Jill forgot to speak for a moment, her gaze fixed on that bright and beautiful profile with fascination.
My heart suddenly started pounding wildly.
"Go ahead and tell me."
Lisa didn't notice anything amiss with Jill. She picked up a comb from the dressing table and began grooming her long hair in front of the mirror.
Jill lowered her eyes, concealing the emotions within them.
"Miss Gu Yue went to the research institute before she left."
"She went to see Fifth Brother?"
"Fifth Master hasn't returned since leaving the research institute last night, but Bai Qianmo has been safely brought back."
"Hmph, Bai Qianmo is such a lucky bastard."
Last night, upon hearing that Bai Qianmo had been kidnapped, Fifth Brother mobilized all his men to search for her whereabouts.
She thought the girl had been kidnapped by her enemies and was probably going to die this time.
As it turned out, Fifth Brother managed to bring her back safely overnight, much to her dismay.
Jill said, "Miss Gu Yue went to see Bai Qianmo, but we don't know the specifics of what they talked about."
"Never mind what those two talked about."
A cold smile flashed in Lisa's alluring peach blossom eyes.
"Fifth Brother and Aunt have both left the capital, which is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for us."
