Putting aside whether Bai Qianmo was actually being kept, Bai Xiruo's series of questionable actions don't seem to be for Bai Qianmo's benefit at all...

Bai Qianmo took out her phone and opened a video. The video on her phone showed Bai Xiruo on set, and judging from her clothes, it was probably during the filming of "The Phoenix's Journey".

Shang Xingzhou led his wife toward Bai Qianmo, and they both appeared very open and honest with each other.
When Shang Xingzhou appeared, everyone immediately recognized him as the man in the photo.
"Consultant Shang, thank you and Mrs. Shang for coming all this way." Bai Qianmo looked apologetically at Mrs. Shang and nodded politely.
Mrs. Shang gave a friendly smile.
Shang Xingzhou shook his head helplessly, his gaze towards his wife filled with tenderness.
"Don't say that, I'm here to clear my name."
Mrs. Shang gave a gentle laugh.
“Ms. Qianmo, I never expected that someone would maliciously slander you and my husband. I am here with my husband today to prove to everyone that my husband and I have always been very loving, and my husband only has eyes for me and in his heart. As for those who fabricate lies to deceive everyone, they have violated their conscience and morality in order to achieve their own shady goals. I hope that their evil deeds can be exposed to the public.”
As Mrs. Shang spoke, she looked coldly at Bai Xiruo.
