Chapter 5

Chapter 5

Snow City is a city on the Liye continent, located at the junction of the Akunya Snowfield and the Hilna Forest.

There are lush vegetation here, and many tree elves live here. Of course, there are also human activities.

Humanity is not absent anywhere on this continent.

Miel still doesn't understand why the fragile human body can conquer any environment, and where their passion for exploring this continent comes from.

Miel walked towards the Acunila mansion.

The three tree elves who bullied him often explored near Akunila Mansion, as if they regarded Akunila Mansion as some kind of mysterious existence, similar to a witch's castle.

This is understandable. After all, the tree elves live in small wooden houses, and Akunila's magnificent mansion looks like a huge monster full of unknowns to them.

Arriving near the mansion, Miel heard conversations from afar.

"Miel has been missing for a week, and the Lord hasn't sent anyone to look for him yet."

"Is he really the lord's child? If I were missing for a week, my mom and dad would be so worried."

"Maybe he's not a biological child? The Lord's magic is so powerful, but Miel can't even use the most basic magic."

"But I remember he used to be quite good at magic. Maybe he was cursed by something, so his father didn't want him anymore."

"Well, it's possible."

Maybe a ghost.

Miel hid behind the wall, silently sorting out the information revealed by the three tree elves.

He thought he had only been in the abyss for a few hours, but a week had already passed?

He went missing for a week and his father, Bros Akunela, took no action.

Why?

Although Bross would not pay special attention to his actions, he would always smile gently every time he met him and told him in person that even if he could no longer use magic, he would always be his dearest child.

A person like Bross shouldn't have just sat back and watched his disappearance.

Do you think it's completely normal for him to forget to come back after losing all his magic power?

Something always feels wrong.

Miel originally planned to find these three tree elves and hang them up and beat them up, but now, he has other ideas.

"Great Cthulhu, can you teach me the magic of changing my appearance?" he asked the man who was hiding behind the wall with him.

The man replied, "Of course."

After the Old One who had transformed into an elf said this word, he raised his beautiful hand and lightly touched Miel's forehead with his fingertips.

The magic called "Transfiguration" was directly instilled into Miel's mind.

Miel whispered a spell and transformed himself into a tree elf.

His skin had darkened several shades, his hair was dark green, his face had become elongated and angular, the sapphires in his eye sockets had turned into green emeralds, and his exquisite aristocratic attire had become rough and simple.

Cthulhu witnessed his transformation and showed a disapproving expression: "What's the reason for making yourself ugly?"

"To gather the necessary intelligence," Miel replied, "could you please wait here for me?"

"Of course not." Cthulhu refused flatly, "I want to watch you 'gather the necessary intelligence' up close."

"Okay." Miel did not insist. After all, he changed his appearance so as not to be recognized by the three tree elves. Cthulhu obviously did not have such worries.

But Miel wasn't sure if Cthulhu had basic social skills and was worried that he would mess up his conversation with the three tree elves.

After all, it was Cthulhu who wanted to explore his lower body the first time they met, so it was not surprising that he did anything.

After Miel was sure that his transformation was perfect, he walked out from behind the wall, raised his hand with a smile, and greeted the three tree elves: "Hey, what are you talking about? Let me join in!"

He smiled lively and enthusiastically, completely different from his appearance in the abyss, which made Cthulhu, who was following behind him, look surprised and confused.

The three tree elves were startled by his sudden appearance, and they scrambled to stand up from their seats, having been sitting in a circle on the ground.

The tree elf named Shaman took a step back and looked at Miel with caution, but when he caught a glimpse of Cthulhu behind him out of the corner of his eye, he showed a look of surprise.

The other two tree elves also showed the same surprise after seeing Cthulhu.

Miel caught the changes in their facial expressions and couldn't help but agree in his heart - I know, I know, it's shocking, right? The Great Old Ones may not understand the anatomy and emotions of elves and humans, but they know exactly what kind of faces elves and humans like.

Not to mention his face, even the color of his skin is just the right amount of sexy. Any darker and it would be too dark, and any lighter and it wouldn't be sexy enough.

Anyone who can stare at Cthulhu's face and body for three seconds without falling must be blind, unless he suffers from severe androphobia.

"Hi, hello! Nice to meet you. My name is Aiyem!" Miel continued to show the three tree elves a lively and enthusiastic smile. "I just moved here not long ago. Is this Akunela's mansion? Wow, it's bigger than I imagined! Do you have any interesting stories to share with me about this giant monster?"

The three tree elves all ignored him, their eyes focused on Cthulhu's face, and one of them swallowed.

The tree elf named Adila took a long time to utter a complete sentence: "Please, please, may I ask... may I know your name?"

"Me?" Cthulhu raised his finger and pointed at himself. After confirming that the three tree elves were the only ones interested in him, he raised his eyebrows with interest. "Humans... oh no, elves really are easily attracted to beautiful things."

Miel turned and glanced at him, afraid that he would say something he shouldn't.

Sure enough, the next second he...

"My name is Kesu..." He stopped abruptly.

"Kesu?" The three tree elves opened their eyes wide with curiosity.

After a brief moment of thought, Cthulhu quickly changed his words: "...Lola."

"Cthulora?"

"Yes, Cthulola, that's my name, you can just call me Lola."

The great Cthulhu tells lies fluently.

"What's your last name?"

"No surname."

"Lola, it sounds like a girl's name," Shaman commented unkindly.

"Where is Mr. Lola from?" Adila asked curiously. "He doesn't look like a forest species, nor does he look like a snowfield species. Could this attire be from the desert?"

"Mr. Lola has a great figure! Is he good at fighting?" Moda asked.

The three tree elves asked one after another as they unconsciously moved forward.

They took a step forward, and Cthulhu took a step back.

One step forward, one step back.

Finally, his back hit the wall and he had nowhere to retreat, and Cthulhu let out a "tsk" sound.

Miel looked at the scene somewhat helplessly. For a moment he didn't know whether he should remind his respected master to stay calm and not attack the prey he had set his sights on, or watch him take revenge for him without his permission.

However, the imagined scene of the great Cthulhu making the three people bleed to death in anger did not appear.

The Old One, who called himself "Cthulora," first raised his hands in a "calm" gesture, then spoke in a low, cold voice: "Listen, young men, I don't want to kill you, but if you continue to focus on me and ignore my master, even without his orders, I will make you pay for your disrespect."

"Master..." The three of them were stunned. It took them a while to realize that the "master" he was referring to was the "Ayem" who had spoken to them earlier.

Miel's reaction was a beat slower than theirs. He raised his finger and pointed at himself in disbelief, but quickly regained his composure and continued to smile lively and enthusiastically.

He is clearly Cthulhu's property...his great master seems to want to play a game of identity swapping.

However, thanks to Him, these damn tree elves finally focused their attention on him.

Come to think of it, before he lost his magic power, he had been surrounded by them enthusiastically like this.

They asked his name curiously and he volunteered his own.

That's why I remember their names.

In the end, simply because of the loss of magic...

Wait, is it really just because of losing magic power?

Miel suddenly had this question and tentatively asked the three people: "I heard that Lord Akunila has a child. What kind of child is he? Is there a chance for me to become friends with him?"

"No, I advise you not to." Shaman folded his arms and responded arrogantly, "You can be curious about the Akunela family, but unless you want to die, don't have anything to do with the Akunela family, and don't go near this mansion."

"Why?" Miel looked confused.

It was Adila who answered him: "Because the Akunela family eats women! We are telling you this in secret, so don't tell anyone else that it was us who said it."

"Yeah." Miel nodded repeatedly, motioning him to continue.

Adila continued, "You didn't know that when you first arrived, people have been disappearing in Snow City for several years. And then about a year ago? Or was it two years ago?"

"A year ago." Moda was sure.

"That was a year ago." Adira completely trusted his memory. "A year ago, when we were exploring nearby, we saw a white-haired, dark-skinned female drow who seduced the lord into entering Akunila's mansion. A few days later, her bounty appeared on the guild's bulletin board."

"What bounty mission?" This was the first time Miel heard of it.

"It's a missing person notice. She's missing." Shaman still had that arrogant tone.

In comparison, Adila's tone was much better: "Yes, she disappeared after entering Akunela's mansion. Later, we paid attention and found that every once in a while, the lord would bring a woman back to the mansion. Sometimes she was an elf, sometimes a drow, and sometimes a human."

"And then these people, without exception, all disappeared!" Adila spread his hands.

Moda suddenly thought of something: "Perhaps this is why the lord's child was cursed. He used to be very good at magic, but now he can't even use the most basic magic."

"In short, if you don't want to die, don't come near here." Shaman emphasized again.

"I see." Miel wasn't sure if they were lying, but their expressions looked serious.

Perhaps what he should suspect is not whether they lied, but whether they misunderstood something?

His father, Bros Akunela, was devoted to his mother, Miphiel, and there was no way he would bring another woman back to the mansion!

Moreover, even if the three did not lie, it would not be possible to offset their actions.

After asking for information, it’s time for revenge.

Miel raised the corners of his lips and showed a harmless smile: "By the way, I heard your conversation when I came here. Who is Miel? Why did he disappear? Is it related to you? Tell me too?"

The author has something to say:
