Go to the beach

Go to the beach

Lu Yin stood on the beach, the salty sea breeze carrying fine sand rushing towards her face, and the waves crashing against the rocks in the distance with a dull sound. She had just completed the "Memory Recall" mission, and her emotional value had increased from 5% to 20%, but the system notification sound was still echoing in her mind: "Target Lan Yi's emotional fluctuations are abnormal, and the 'Beach Strategy' event needs to be triggered urgently."

She clenched her fist, her fingertips tracing Lan Yi's data on the screen—emotional value 15%, the key event pointing to their beach date two years ago. Back then, Lan Yi would hold her hand and run on the beach, singing love songs for her under the sunset; but two years later, he wouldn't even reply to her messages, and his words at the breakup, "We can't go back," pierced her heart like a knife.

"This time, I'm determined to make him fall in love with me again," Lu Yin murmured to herself, the sound of the waves drowning out her resolve.

System notification: "Target Lan Yi has appeared at the beach, triggering the 'Beach Strategy' event." Lu Yin looked in the direction of the notification and saw Lan Yi standing on the rocks, the sea breeze ruffling his hair, his eyes as cold as frost. She took a deep breath and walked towards him.

"Lan Yi," she called softly.

Lan Yi turned around, his gaze sweeping over her, a slight smile playing on his lips: "What, following me?" The system notification sounded: "Affection value +10%." A barely perceptible tenderness flashed in his eyes, like a crack appearing on a frozen lake.

Lu Yin suddenly grasped his hand: "Two years ago, you sang a love song for me here, do you remember?" Lan Yi's body trembled slightly, and the warmth from his fingertips passed through his palm, like a ray of warm sunshine in winter.

“I remember,” he answered softly, his voice slightly hoarse. “Back then, I thought we would go on forever.”

The system alarm sounded: "Target Lan Yi's emotional fluctuations are abnormal. The 'Seaside Rescue' event needs to be triggered immediately." Lu Yin looked in the direction of the prompt and saw Lan Yi standing on the edge of the reef, with the waves lapping at his ankles, as if they could sweep him into the sea at any moment.

"Lan Yi!" she exclaimed and rushed towards him.

Lan Yi turned around, a hint of panic flashing in his eyes: "You... don't come any closer!" The system notification sounded: "Emotional value +15%." His palm was burning hot, and for the first time, he took her hand, like a drowning person grabbing a piece of driftwood.

Lu Yin chuckled, "I won't leave you alone." She suddenly squatted down, picked up a seashell from the beach, and handed it to Lan Yi, "This is what you gave me two years ago, and I've kept it all this time."

Lan Yi's pupils contracted slightly, and his Adam's apple bobbed: "You... still remember." The system notification sounded: "Emotional value +20%." A long-lost tenderness flashed in his eyes, like the frozen lake surface completely melting.

Lu Yin's heart sank to the bottom. She used the system's "data repair" function to restore the dashcam's surveillance footage.

"Did you see that?" Lu Yin's voice trembled as she became serious. "I didn't hurt anyone." Lan Yi's defenses completely collapsed. He smashed the crystal ornament his ex-girlfriend had given him, the shards cutting his palm, blood dripping onto the back of Lu Yin's hand: "Does it hurt? This way you'll remember me." System notification: "Emotional value rebounded after a sharp drop (-30% → +40%)."

As the sun set, golden ripples spread across the sea. Suddenly, Lu Yin grasped Lan Yi's hand and whispered, "Lan Yi, I'm back. This time, I won't leave you alone again."
