Chapter 21 The Alchemy Books Sent Out

"Young master, ten mid-grade spirit stones is the lowest price we can offer. If it weren't for the fact that you're only sending a book, the cost would probably be several times higher."

The old man looked at her helplessly.

Xia Zihan's face showed a hint of resentment when she heard the old man's words. You know, she had never cared about spirit stones before, but after coming out, she found that she could hardly take a step without them.

She bit her lip, her heart filled with regret. In the palace, spirit stones were just ordinary things that she could easily obtain, but now they had become shackles that bound her.

"I'll pay for the spirit stones for her!"

A voice came from behind Xia Zihan. She quickly turned around, but when she saw Qin Luo's face, a look of panic appeared on her face, and the alchemy book that she had already wrapped in her hand was placed unnaturally behind her.

"Wang, Fellow Daoist Wang Wu, what brings you here?"

Qin Luo did not answer her question, but instead placed a high-grade spirit stone on the counter.

Upon seeing this, the old man's eyes lit up with an unusual light, and even his signature smile became much more amiable.

"Young master, here are the 990 mid-grade spirit stones that have been returned to you."

After checking the authenticity of the high-grade spirit stone, the old man quickly retrieved the remaining spirit stones. Qin Luo, holding the heavy bag of spirit stones, smiled at Xia Zihan and said:

"Fellow Daoist Zhao Jiu, I've already paid for the spirit stones for you. You should send the items out first."

"Fellow Daoist Wang Wu, I..."

Xia Zihan gripped the package tightly in her hand, hesitating, but finally made up her mind and placed the package in front of the old man.

The old man accepted the package with his signature smile and promised to deliver it to its destination within a month.

"A month?"

Qin Luo's heart stirred upon hearing the old man's words. The simulated Xia Zihan would tell him a month later that she would return the opportunity he had given her, and a month later her brother would arrive. Could this alchemy book have been sent to her so-called brother?

Afterwards, Qin Luo left the post station with these thoughts in mind, and Xia Zihan, who was following behind, felt a sense of unease when she saw him remain silent.

"Fellow Daoist Wang Wu, what I actually sent out was the alchemy book I obtained in the cave."

Upon hearing her words, Qin Luo, who was walking ahead, stopped what he was thinking, turned around, and smiled:

"Fellow Daoist Zhao Jiu, there's no need to explain to me. Since that book was given to you, it is yours now."

Xia Zihan was still uneasy looking at his smiling face. She bit her lip and said softly, "But I always feel that I owe you something. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have been able to get that alchemy book."

Qin Luo waved his hand, his gaze gentle: "Don't think like that. I said that book is useless to me. If it can help you, then it is fate that we are connected."

Upon hearing this, Xia Zihan lowered her head slightly and murmured softly, "But I still hope to have the opportunity to repay you in the future."

"If you really want to repay me, then hurry up and cultivate. Don't waste your time on these trivial matters," Qin Luo thought helplessly, but still said honestly.

"Fellow Daoist Zhao Jiu is joking. Given our friendship, is there any need to talk about repaying the debt?"

After saying that, Qin Luo looked at her with a smile, and Xia Zihan slowly lowered her head under his gaze, seemingly forgetting her current identity as a man, and her ears involuntarily turned red.

"Fellow Daoist Zhao Jiu, why are your ears so red? Could it be that you, a grown man, have been moved by my words?"

Qin Luo couldn't help but tease her for looking shy in men's clothing.

Hearing Qin Luo's teasing, Xia Zihan suddenly looked up, realizing her current pretense, and then forced herself to remain calm, saying:

"Fellow Daoist Wang Wu, please don't talk nonsense. It's just that the sun is too strong and I'm getting a little hot."

Seeing her flustered attempt to cover up her mistake, Qin Luo found it even more amusing, but he stopped teasing her and said, "Alright, let's go back and rest properly before making any plans."

Upon hearing this, Xia Zihan quickly nodded in response in an attempt to conceal her panic.

The two returned to the shop shortly afterward.

Xia Zihan sat in the small cubicle, recalling her conversation with Qin Luo, and a blush crept onto her face again. She patted her cheeks lightly and muttered to herself, "What's wrong with me? Why am I so out of control?"

Inside the room, Qin Luo leaned against the headboard, looking at the system panel, and then began today's simulation to verify his ideas.

On the first day, Xia Zihan asked you about your views on cultivation and looked at you expectantly. You smiled and told her that you were used to being carefree and that cultivation was not suitable for you.

Although she was somewhat disappointed upon hearing this, she respected your decision, and a resolute look appeared in her eyes.

The next day, you noticed a hesitation on Xia Zihan's face after she saw you. Sensing this, you gently asked her what was wrong.

After your questioning, she shyly asked to borrow some spirit stones to buy the pills she needed for cultivation, and you generously lent them to her.

[A month later, thanks to your support, Xia Zihan's strength has increased significantly compared to a month ago. That evening, she suddenly told you that one of her brothers would be coming here the next day, and then told you not to be nervous and to just take it easy.]

The next day, Xia Zihan led a handsome man to you, followed by a refined-looking young man.
