This scene caused a jolt in the hearts of the two women, as if the sky had fallen and the earth had cracked, and the whole world had turned upside down in an instant.
In just one short month, my own sweet and innocent Xiao Yao has been secretly abducted?
They knew all too well how much that man cherished his young lady; he treated her like a precious gem, afraid she might fall if he held her in his hands or melt if he kept her in his mouth. If he found out about this, things would change drastically.
The voluptuous woman sized up Qin Luo and spoke first: "Xiao Yao, how long are you going to hide?"
Dongfang Jinyao trembled and subconsciously shrank back behind Qin Luo, her voice tinged with fear, "Aunt Hua, I... I didn't hide."
Hearing this, Aunt Hua's gentle brows furrowed slightly, her eyes filled with a hint of reproach, yet also with undisguised concern. "You didn't hide? Do you know what the consequences would be if your father found out about your actions?"
"It's one thing to escape, but you didn't even bring any protective gear. Do you know that your father can't get here immediately? What will you do if something happens to Aunt Hua?"
Dongfang Jinyao poked her head out from behind Qin Luo, stuck out her tongue, and said:
"Aunt Hua, it's too stuffy at home, so I came out for some fresh air. Besides, look at me, I'm perfectly fine, and I even broke through to the Saint Realm."
As she spoke, she proudly raised her chin, trying to divert Aunt Hua's attention.
Hearing this, Aunt Hua shook her head helplessly. "You silly girl, you're always so willful. Breaking through to the Saint Realm is a good thing, but that's no excuse for you to run around like this. What if something happens to you now that you're out here? How are we supposed to explain this to your father?"
Aunt Shu couldn't help but speak up, her tone stern, "Xiao Yao, you've really gone too far this time. It seems we've been too lenient with you, letting you run around so recklessly. Do you know how much effort we had to put in to find you after you disappeared?"
"If something really happens to you, how are we supposed to explain it to your father?"
Seeing this, Dongfang Jinyao's smile vanished instantly. She lowered her head, her voice tinged with guilt, "Aunt Hua, Aunt Shu, I know I was wrong. I shouldn't have been so willful, running off without a word and making you worry so much. I really did wrong this time, please don't be angry anymore, okay?"
Seeing her admit her mistake, Aunt Hua's anger subsided somewhat, and she sighed softly, "My dear child, it's good that you know you were wrong. You can't act so rashly again in the future."
Aunt Shu nodded slightly, her expression still somewhat serious. "I hope you can really remember this lesson."
Seeing that the expressions on the two elders' faces had softened slightly, Dongfang Jinyao felt a little more confident. She tiptoed over, a playful smile on her face.
"Aunt Hua, Aunt Shu, I know you're both doing this for my own good." Dongfang Jinyao blinked her big, watery eyes playfully, her gaze full of mischievousness, like a cunning little fox.
She pouted, and said with a hint of ingratiation, "It was really my fault this time, please don't be angry with me anymore, okay?"
At this point, she deliberately lowered her voice, leaned closer to the two of them mysteriously, a mischievous smile on her face, her eyes darting back and forth between Aunt Hua and Aunt Shu, "At worst, I'll find a clever way to send my mother far away, so that Father can have a proper talk with you two..."
Dongfang Jinyao stopped speaking at the last minute, her smile deepening, the unspoken words carrying endless meaning.
She secretly thought to herself that for the sake of her and Qin Luo's happiness, she had no choice but to temporarily "betray" her mother.
After all, if she didn't obediently admit her mistake, Aunt Hua and Aunt Shu might tell her father everything about her and Qin Luo when they got back.
If my father finds out, it will be a huge problem. I might not even be able to see Qin Luo again.
Thinking of this, she looked at the two elders with a mixture of nervousness and anticipation, hoping that they would be moved by her words.
Upon hearing Dongfang Jinyao's words, the two women blushed unnaturally. Aunt Hua gently turned her head away, raised her hand and lightly patted Dongfang Jinyao's shoulder, playfully scolding her:
"You little devil, you're always thinking about these silly things all day long. I don't know where you learned all these little tricks from."
Although she was blaming him, the upturned corners of her mouth betrayed that she wasn't actually that serious.
Aunt Shu coughed lightly, a little uneasy, her eyes filled with a hint of panic. She subconsciously smoothed a strand of hair behind her ear. "Xiao Yao, don't talk nonsense here. Your Aunt Hua and I have a completely innocent relationship with your father. Don't make fun of us with these words."
That being said, her flushed ears revealed that she was not at peace inside.
Seeing their reaction, Dongfang Jinyao was secretly delighted, knowing her tactic had worked. She quickly pressed her advantage, taking Aunt Hua's and Aunt Shu's hands and gently shaking them, saying in a coquettish tone:
"Aunt Hua, Aunt Shu, I know you're the best. I promise I'll be obedient from now on and never run away again. Please don't tell Daddy about me running away, okay?"
Aunt Shu glanced at Aunt Hua, then at the ingratiating Dongfang Jinyao, and smiled helplessly. "Alright, alright, let's let this matter rest for now. We'll tell your mother when we get back. But your business isn't over yet. Have you forgotten about this 'young master'?"
At this point, Aunt Shu's sharp gaze fell on Qin Luo, and a powerful pressure immediately descended.
