Chapter 44 Spirit Mist Fruit

Inside the spiritual mist, the mist is even denser, so much so that even a cultivator at the Spirit Gathering Realm can only barely extend their perception to a range of about a hundred meters.

A small team of adventurers was cautiously exploring the area, but their faces showed a hint of helplessness and resentment.

The leader was a tall, burly man with a resolute face. He was dressed in dark, close-fitting clothes and exuded the aura of a seventh-level Spirit Gathering Realm cultivator. Spiritual energy faintly flowed around the long sword in his hand.

Following closely behind him was a slightly thin man whose eyes constantly scanned the surrounding spiritual mist. He held a book in his hand, and his senses emanated from his body.

The third man was short in stature, dressed in light clothing, and exuded a sharp spiritual aura from his hands. His eyes darted around, constantly watching for any movement in his surroundings.

The only woman in the group was tall and agile, with her hair neatly tied back. Her face was slightly dark but possessed a unique air of heroism. She wore a practical outfit that allowed for easy movement, with a wide belt around her waist from which hung several small cloth bags, containing some mysterious items.

"Boss Chai, there's some noise ahead!"

The man in the group, who was staring intently at the mist in front of him, suddenly spoke up.

Upon hearing this, everyone immediately became alert, and streams of spiritual energy of different colors quickly covered their bodies.

The leader, named Chai Qin, narrowed his eyes, and the long sword in his hand instantly emitted a fiery red spiritual energy.

After exchanging glances, the group cautiously walked forward.

Just then, a palm print radiating emerald green spiritual flames burst forth from the spiritual mist, striking towards the crowd with the force of thunder.

Chai Qin reacted quickly and shouted:

"careful!"

At the same time, he swung his longsword fiercely, and the fiery red spiritual energy, like a scorching wave, rushed towards the emerald green palm print.

With a loud "bang," a powerful shockwave spread outwards, causing the spiritual mist to churn and surge.

Chai Qin was also knocked back quite a bit by the impact. After regaining his balance, he stared intently at the thick fog ahead.

Before long, footsteps echoed through the spiritual mist, and then Qin Luo and Yi Ting appeared before everyone.

"What is the meaning of this, fellow Daoist?" Chai Qin looked at Qin Luo, who had suddenly appeared, with fear in his eyes and spoke in a slightly cold tone.

Qin Luo looked at the solemn faces of the crowd in front of him, frowned slightly, and realized that he had attacked because he thought it was a demon beast. He didn't expect it to be a misunderstanding. Thinking of this, an embarrassed look appeared on his face.

"I am so sorry, everyone. There was some movement in the spiritual mist just now. I thought it was a demonic beast, so I acted rashly."

Chai Qin and the others looked at Qin Luo, feeling a little dissatisfied, but they also understood that dangers lurked everywhere in this Spirit Mist Valley, and misjudgments were common.

He then nodded and said, "Since it's a misunderstanding, then let it go. I believe you didn't mean it."

Qin Luo responded with an apologetic smile, then turned to leave with Yi Ting.

However, Chai Qin suddenly spoke up: "Fellow Daoist, please wait."

Qin Luo stopped and looked at Chai Qin with a puzzled expression, while the Qi Sea within his body was also stirring.

Chai Qin clasped his hands slightly and said sincerely:

“I see that you are quite strong, fellow Daoist. The power of that palm strike just now was astonishing. To be honest, we have found Spirit Mist Fruit in this Spirit Mist Valley. However, the Spirit Mist Fruit is guarded by a powerful group of demonic beasts. With the strength of just a few of us, I am afraid it will be difficult to successfully pick it.”

"If you, fellow Daoist, could accompany us, our chances of success would greatly increase. After we succeed, we can share the Spirit Mist Fruit. What do you think, fellow Daoist?"

Qin Luo lowered his head and pondered, weighing the pros and cons in his mind.

He had seen information about the Mist Spirit Fruit in intelligence reports. The Mist Spirit Fruit grows in a very special place, usually deep in the valleys where the spirit mist is most concentrated. It is a fruit that is formed after absorbing a large amount of spirit mist essence.

After cultivators consume it, it can greatly stimulate the body's potential, accelerate the circulation of spiritual power and the speed of cultivation. Moreover, the spiritual essence inside can enable cultivators in the Spirit Gathering Realm to achieve a leapfrog improvement in cultivation in a short period of time. If there is enough essence, they may be able to advance several levels in a row!

What kind of monsters are lurking near the Spirit Mist Fruit Tree?

Qin Luo didn't agree immediately; instead, he asked seriously.

Upon hearing his question, Chai Qin gave a wry smile and then explained:

"A group of Earth Bears is entrenched next to this Spirit Mist Fruit Tree. Judging from the rough estimate, there should be more than twenty of them, and their strength is basically around the third or fourth stage of the Spirit Gathering Realm."

"With your strength, you shouldn't be unable to win."

Qin Luo looked at the group indifferently. Since Chai Qin could attach spiritual energy to the weapon, he must have reached the seventh level of the Spirit Gathering Realm or higher. With the help of the other three, he should be able to eliminate those twenty Earth Bears.

"Fellow Daoist, you may not know this, but while those twenty-odd Earthburst Bears are manageable, there is also a Rending Earth Bear King among them, whose strength has probably reached the ninth stage of the Spirit Gathering Realm!"

No wonder.

Qin Luo couldn't help but shake his head upon hearing this. Bear-type demonic beasts are usually large in size and have thick skin and flesh. The spiritual energy of ordinary cultivators hitting them is basically painless. Only by concentrating one's strength to attack their vital parts can one possibly cause substantial damage.

The Earth-Splitting Bear King, with its strength reaching the ninth level of the Spirit Gathering Realm, is even more difficult to deal with. Not only does it possess powerful defense, but its attack power is also extremely astonishing; a single swipe of its claw could easily shatter a boulder into dust.

Upon seeing Qin Luo's furrowed brows, Chai Qin quickly added:

"Fellow Daoist, don't worry about those Earth Bears. We have our own way of disabling them. Then, you can cooperate with me to deal with the Earth-Splitting Bear King."

Upon hearing this, Qin Luo slightly raised his eyes to look at Chai Qin, a hint of doubt in his eyes, "Oh? What methods do you have to render those Earth Bears incapable of fighting?"

Chai Qin smiled mysteriously and explained, "Liu Shuang in our team is a poison doctor who is skilled at concocting various poisons. We can use poisons to put the Earth Bears into a brief coma, thus rendering them unable to fight."

Upon hearing this, Qin Luo couldn't help but look at the tall woman in their group. He was surprised to find that she had no spiritual energy. She was actually a cultivator at the Spiritual Awareness Realm.

When the woman named Liu Shuang noticed his gaze, she gracefully tossed her neat hair and nodded slightly in acknowledgment.

Upon seeing this, Yi Ting snorted inwardly and silently stepped between the two.

"Master, really, that woman doesn't have a good figure, why do you keep staring at her?"

Yiting felt annoyed and somewhat disappointed.
