On the battlefield at that moment, after Sikong Xiu made her request for help, she was once again caught up in the battle and had no time to wait for Qin Luo's response.
Four mountain-sized puppets surrounded her, their attacks relentless.
She barely managed to maintain her movements with the faint spiritual energy within her body, dodging and weaving precariously between the puppet's furious attacks.
Her once meticulously combed, jet-black hair was now a mess, with many strands shredded by the sharp winds generated by the puppet's attacks. The broken hairs clung messily to her dusty cheeks, further emphasizing her disheveled state.
As the battle continued, the puppets seemed to have figured out Sikong Xiu's dodging patterns, and their coordination became increasingly seamless. Just as Sikong Xiu dodged a sharp straight punch, the other two puppets quickly surrounded her, their thick arms crossing and swinging, completely blocking Sikong Xiu's escape route.
Seeing this, Sikong Xiu was horrified. In her panic, she tried to break free, but found that she had almost no spiritual energy left. Under the relentless pressure of the puppets, she was forced into a desperate situation, with four puppets surrounding her from behind and in front of her.
One of the puppets seized the opportunity, raised its giant fist, and smashed it down on Sikong Xiu with tremendous force.
The wind from the punch howled, stinging Sikong Xiu's cheeks and whipping her hair wildly.
At this moment, Sikong Xiu could even clearly smell the scent of death licking at her skin.
In utter despair, Sikong Xiu instinctively closed her eyes, her long eyelashes trembling uncontrollably. She gave up her last resistance, quietly awaiting the end of her life, her heart filled with resentment yet utterly helpless.
One breath, two breaths... Sikong Xiu, who had closed her eyes and was waiting for death, found that the expected excruciating pain did not come. Her eyelids trembled, and her eyes slowly opened. What she saw was a tall, handsome figure standing with his hands behind his back, steadily standing in front of her.
Qin Luo casually clasped his left hand behind his back, while a cold talisman floated above his right hand.
The talisman gleamed with a cold light, and a continuous stream of cold air surged from it. The mere amount of coldness that leaked out caused the surrounding space to be enveloped in white mist, showing faint signs of being frozen.
The giant fist of the spirit seal suddenly stopped a few feet in front of the man, as if by magic.
Upon closer inspection, specks of frost were spreading rapidly across the fist at an alarming rate. The once unstoppable giant fist was now immobilized. In no time, the frost on the fist grew thicker and thicker, enveloping the fist layer by layer and reflecting a cold, icy light.
The relief of surviving the ordeal hadn't yet faded when Sikong Xiu was stunned by the talisman in Qin Luo's hand. She murmured to herself, her voice filled with disbelief:
"This... how could such abundant spiritual energy be possessed by someone at the Spirit Tribulation Realm?"
She really couldn't understand why, even though the aura emanating from the person in front of her was at the same level as hers, the mere natural outward release of spiritual energy gave her the illusion of being in the depths of an abyss, unfathomable and unfathomable.
That sense of oppression did not stem from the suppression of realms, but rather from a purer and more powerful force.
Just as she was filled with doubt, Qin Luo made a move.
He calmly raised his right hand and slapped the talisman. Then he turned around, his expression calm and composed, without a trace of panic in his eyes. It was as if the three puppets that had rushed over around him did not exist at all. He exuded an air of composure that allowed him to control everything.
"Watch out behind you!"
Sikong Xiu's voice still carried the fatigue as she forced herself to speak, but as soon as she uttered the words, her eyes widened instantly.
The instant Qin Luo unleashed the talisman, thousands of feet of void within this space were forcibly torn apart, emitting a chilling "crackling" sound.
Immediately afterwards, countless glaciers surged forth from the ancient Ice Age, roaring and sweeping across the land.
Within that icy river, the water churned and countless ice crystals darted about. Leading the charge were the three puppets hurtling towards Qin Luo.
Faced with this sudden glacier, they were instantly swept into it. The enormous impact caused the puppets' bodies to roll and struggle in the icy water, but they were completely unable to resist or stabilize themselves.
At the same time, the other spirit seal puppets on the field were not spared either. In just a few breaths, countless icy rivers crisscrossed, freezing everything in their path.
The puppets waved their arms in vain in the icy river, trying to resist, but in the extreme cold, their bodies gradually froze, their joints cracking, and they eventually turned into huge blocks of ice, floating on the ice surface.
In an instant, the originally fierce battlefield was replaced by this icy and snowy landscape.
Without exception, all nine puppets could not withstand even a moment beneath the icy river, which resembled the birth of ice dragons, and were completely frozen into blocks of ice. They remained motionless on the ice surface, retaining their final postures before death.
"This...you, I..."
Sikong Xiu stood there dumbfounded, her mind blank, unable to form a single complete sentence.
She gazed at the battlefield before her, completely reshaped by ice and snow. The once invincible puppets were now all turned into ice sculptures. Waves of shock washed over her, making it almost unbelievable.
Recalling her previous desperate and disheveled state under the puppets' siege, Sikong Xiu felt that all her previous struggles had been futile, as the man before her had completely turned the tide with just a single talisman.
This made her subconsciously look at Qin Luo's handsome and composed face, his eyes revealing a calm composure born of experience and control over the situation. At that moment, Sikong Xiu felt a deep sense of shame and inferiority. She suddenly realized that her previous petty thoughts and schemes were utterly childish and laughable in the face of absolute power.
Amidst his complicated feelings, Qin Luo paid no attention to Sikong Xiu's complex inner thoughts and walked slowly to her.
Qin Luo calmly extended his finger and then pressed it onto Sikong Xiu's smooth forehead.
Seeing this, Sikong Xiu thought Qin Luo was going to heal her injuries. Although she was somewhat surprised, she also felt a surge of gratitude. She quickly waved her hand and said weakly:
"This is just a minor injury, no need for you to worry about it, young master. There's really no need to trouble you."
Before she could finish speaking, her face suddenly froze, and her eyes widened as she stared blankly at Qin Luo.
This was hardly healing! The spiritual energy that flowed into her mind roamed freely in her sea of consciousness, and soon a feeling of being controlled enveloped her.
Sikong Xiu was horrified to discover that this was clearly a restriction being set up! A deep fear surged into her heart. She was about to speak, but suddenly remembered something and suppressed the grief and indignation in her heart.
His slightly parted lips closed again, and the expression on his face changed from resentment to humiliation.
"What, I saved your life, and now your Illusion Dream Sect is going to work for me for a while in the academy competition? You're not satisfied with this deal?"
