Chapter 8 Love Academy

The shadows of the trees are rugged in the dark night, and the withered and dry branches are like twisted human figures, shouting silently in the darkness.

White ghosts kept emerging from behind the surrounding tree trunks, their eyes were empty and lifeless, and my scalp felt tingling when I looked into their eyes.

What is even more creepy is the sound they make. The miserable and resentful sounds that reach our ears make us even more terrified.

It is in such an environment, with the help of lighting, that Keli and Shirley capture ghosts with expressionless faces.

They also don't know why things turned out this way.

Obviously being surrounded by a large group of ghosts is an extremely terrifying thing. According to their personalities, they would have lay down long ago.

But now, I actually caught a ghost with my bare hands. I really want to applaud myself.

The moment a large number of ghosts appeared, the brother and sister watched Zhou Zhou happily greet them.

The look on his face didn't seem like he had seen a ghost, but more like he had seen something he loved, his eyes sparkling.

Then he started to capture the balloon in his hand, no, the ghost turned into a group. A group of ghosts whose legs were caught were swaying left and right, shouting "I died miserably" in a miserable manner. There were so many of them that they sounded a bit like a chorus.

In short, the whole scene is very scary for ghosts.

What's more, because it can be stretched, Zhou Zhou pulled the ghost leg to be extremely thin, so that he can hold a lot in his hands.

If these were replaced with hydrogen balloons, Zhou Zhou estimated that so many of them could fly.

Shirley and Keli's expressions changed from fear and horror to shock and finally to expressionlessness.

After confirming that the ghost was harmless, he also helped Zhou Zhou catch the ghost.

Gradually, their hands were filled with ghosts.

Several people seemed to have forgotten their original purpose of coming here. They now looked more like peddlers who came here to purchase goods, and they would take as many ghosts as possible.

Keli even climbed up the tree to catch the floating ghost, and had long forgotten that he was frightened and fainted by the ghost at the beginning.

There were about twenty ghosts, all captured by the three men.

When there were no more lone ghosts in the woods, the three of them still felt a little unsatisfied.

Shirley looked at the group of ghosts floating in her hands and didn't feel scared at all. "I only played like this when I was a kid catching bugs. I miss it a lot."

Keli swung his arms, swinging a group of nearly two-meter-tall ghosts in his hands to the east and west. He stopped after hearing Shirley's words, "Don't talk about that. I don't play with bugs. What's the fun of playing with dirty bugs?"

Without exposing the fact that her brother was actually very afraid of insects, Shirley handed the ghost in her hand to Zhou Zhou.

"It's all yours. Don't you like it? Take it and play with it."

Zhou Zhou had the most ghosts in his hands. If he put them forward, he could even completely cover himself. When he heard that Shirley was going to give these ghosts to him, he blinked his little deer eyes and said happily, "Really?"

Shirley didn't say much and stuffed the ghosts into Zhou Zhou's other hand.

Keli also stuffed it in.

Zhou Zhou could hardly hold it with both hands. It wasn't that heavy, after all, the ghost was floating and had almost no weight. But both his hands were almost full.

Zhou Zhou was very happy, not because he liked such weird things, but because this thing was something he had never seen before.

Since he became conscious, he has lived within the confines of the school, and what he can see is very limited.

The only way for him to understand the world is through the players he has met before. They will tell him what happened, who they met, where they went, what food they ate, and even some skills in various aspects.

Zhou Zhou is also digesting these things while constantly learning, but those are just words after all, not as good as the new and interesting things that are vividly presented before his eyes.

Ghosts are probably the most interesting things Zhou Zhou has ever seen in school.

Of course, if the dormitory monster hadn’t run so fast, it might have received a positive review.

Zhou Zhou wanted to hang these ghosts in his dormitory so that he could see them as soon as he opened his eyes and hear their voices after closing his eyes, which would be very lively.

Now that all the ghosts have been captured, the group prepares to hurry up and search for the heart-shaped gem in the woods.

The light source of the flashlight was too weak, so Keli shone the light on the group of ghosts in Zhou Zhou's hand. After being exposed to the light, the translucent ghosts turned into faint fluorescent human figures. This lighting effect was much stronger than a flashlight and was easier to find.

Finally, a blue heart-shaped gem was found in a tree hole of a laurel tree.

Now they have three gems, which should be the key to the school exit. However, no one knows how many gems there are. What if there are still ten or eight to find? It will take three days to find them all.

And where is the exit? They have no direction at all.

The task panel did not release any information after that, and the few people were in trouble again.

Zhou Zhou held the ghost in both hands, and in his ears were the shouts of more than twenty ghosts and the sound of Keli and others discussing the relationship between the heart-shaped gem and the entrance.

It was very loud, but much better than silence to his ears.

In fact, it was enough for him to have these ghosts.

"I know where the exit is." Zhou Zhou said, looking at the two of them.

Half an hour later, the three people and a group of ghosts came to the school lake. The clear and green lake surface in the past looked more like a trap with lurking monsters in the dark night.

Zhou Zhou pointed to the sculpture by the lake and said, "The exit is right here."

Under the illumination of the "ghost light", a statue more than one meter tall stands quietly by the lake.

The lower part is a rectangular stone pier with relief patterns carved on it, and the upper part is a statue of Cupid holding a golden bow and arrow with a heart-shaped arrow.

Keli and Shirley walked around the statue several times but couldn't find the exit.

"Is this really the exit?" Keli touched his chin and thought, why didn't he find anything? There didn't seem to be any hint of this place before.

"Zhou Zhou is so smart, it must be here." Shirley believed Zhou Zhou very much.

Ke Li still couldn't figure it out, so he asked directly: "Zhou Zhou, how did you know?"

Zhou Zhou: "Love, two people, Greek mythology and laurel, these combined should refer to this Cupid statue."

There is only one Cupid statue in the school. If it weren’t for the hint that clearly mentioned Greek mythology and laurel, there would actually be a statue of Yue Lao in the school.

Both of them were a little surprised. They had no idea about it at all. After all, Greek mythology and Cupid were all stories from a long time ago. They had only heard of some of them and there was no way they could make the connection based on these few words.

"That's awesome! I feel like I'm going to win this time without any effort." Keli exclaimed.

Shirley scoffed, "Aren't you already lying down?"

Keli: "...If you make fun of me about this again, I will tell you about your dark history."

How could Shirley let her brother talk about this in front of Zhou Zhou? She immediately changed the subject, "Isn't the mission to escape from the school? How are we going to get out? Do we have to move the statue?"

"Try it first."

The two men tried their best to push the statue away, but no matter how hard they tried, the statue didn't move at all.

Zhou Zhou watched them exert their strength silently, then looked at the ghost in his hand and shook it.

The screams of "I'm dying so miserably" became even more miserable.

"We should still use the heart-shaped gem." Zhou Zhou reminded. "There are three depressions on the stone pier, all of which are heart-shaped."

Keli quickly took out the gems and placed them one by one in the depressions on the stone pier, and they were indeed the right size.

After placing the three gems, the Keli brothers and sisters waited excitedly for the statue to be moved away and the exit to open.

A cold wind blew by, but the statue remained motionless.

Zhou Zhou tilted his head. This shouldn’t be the case. All the clues pointed to this place, so why didn’t anything happen?

He looked up carefully again, and when he saw Cupid's bow and arrow, his eyes widened slightly.

There's still one heart-shaped gem missing!
