Chapter 95: The Final Chapter (Part 2)

Chapter 95: The Final Chapter (Part 2)

For the next few days, Biyao recuperated at Lingyan Pavilion. Qin Wuyan wanted to tell Qinglong that Biyao had returned. However, considering that she was still injured, especially on her neck where the marks were barely concealed by her collar, it was inconvenient for her to see anyone. He decided to keep it a secret for now and wait until she was fully recovered.

To everyone's surprise, just two days later, Qinglong himself came to Lingyan Pavilion.

Ever since that incident where several female disciples of the sect easily broke into Lingyan Pavilion, Qin Wuyan had set up a barrier around the area. However, Qinglong could easily break through this barrier. He hurriedly pushed open the courtyard gate, only to see a woman lying on a recliner under the Ruomu Divine Tree, lazily sunbathing.

Just as Qinglong was about to go in for a closer look, he heard Qin Wuyan's voice: "Biyao, eat something first, we still have to..."

Before he could finish speaking, he saw Qinglong and changed the subject in shock: "Big...Big Brother? What brings you here?"

He rushed forward almost instantly, blocking the recliner where Biyao was sleeping. She had already heard the commotion, and quickly covered her face, turning her back to Qinglong.

Qinglong frowned: "Wuyan, who did you call just now? Biyao? She's back?"

He stepped forward and looked behind Qin Wuyan, but Qin Wuyan blocked him from both sides, forcing a dry laugh and saying, "Brother, you must have misheard! I... I didn't call you Biyao!"

Did I hear that right?

Qinglong was suspicious. Regardless of whether he had misheard or not, Qin Wuyan's reaction was very strange.

"Then why are you stopping me? Could it be that..."

His brow furrowed even more: "You've hidden a woman here?"

Of course, Qinglong knew very well how much his brother couldn't let go of Biyao, but Qin Wuyan's reaction made him want to provoke him.

Qin Wuyan's expression changed, and he hurriedly said, "How is that possible?!"

Qinglong crossed his arms: "But just now... I think I did see a woman, right there on the chair behind you."

Qin Wuyan feigned composure and solemnly said, "Brother, don't talk nonsense! You must have seen wrong. If you don't believe me..."

He moved aside, and the recliner appeared before Qinglong's eyes without any obstruction, but the chair was empty.

Qinglong was stunned. Could it be that the sunlight was too dazzling and he had seen wrong?

Qin Wuyan secretly breathed a sigh of relief and smiled, "Big brother, is there something you need from me all of a sudden?"

Qinglong stopped pursuing the matter and said seriously, "Wuyan, a few days ago, the disciples guarding the mountain reported to me that a female demon in red had broken into Fox Ridge Mountain. I ordered people to search the mountain, but they couldn't find any trace of her. So I came here to see if there was anything unusual."

A female monster in red?

Qin Wuyan immediately understood what was going on and said, "Brother, everything is normal here, there's nothing unusual. I don't think it's anyone powerful, so you don't need to worry."

Qinglong was somewhat relieved: "That's good... I was just afraid that the monster would damage the divine tree and prevent Biyao from returning. Speaking of which, is she really... still showing no sign of coming back?"

Qin Wuyan pretended to know nothing, glanced at the divine tree with a worried expression, and shook his head with a bitter smile, saying, "I'm afraid... she has long forgotten me, so she doesn't want to come back."

Qinglong sighed and comforted him, "How could that be? You're still too deeply affected by the illusion in the Six-Star Reincarnation Disc. No matter what, everything in the illusion is ultimately false. You don't need to care about what Biyao said or did to you there. You must believe that she still cares about you. Perhaps the Divine Tree hasn't grown yet. Maybe she'll come back in a few years. You've already achieved immortality and have several hundred years to live. Waiting a year or two won't make a difference."

Qin Wuyan sighed, "I hope so!"

Qinglong said, "Since you're free, I'll be going now. I'll come find you for a drink after I'm done with these next few days!"

Qin Wuyan saw Qinglong out of the courtyard, and when he returned, Biyao was already sitting under the tree again.

He strode forward: "You scared me to death! Luckily you dodged quickly enough! But Biyao, what's wrong with you now? You can even turn into the wind?"

Biyao shrugged: "I don't know either! Maybe I learned it by accident while I was cultivating. But... this spell is quite useful."

Qin Wuyan said, "I'm just worried that using too much might have some negative effects on you."

"No!" Biyao said confidently with a smile, "I actually feel that this spell is making me stronger. However, Wuyan, Brother Qinglong just said that you were too deeply affected by the illusion. What does that mean? What happened to you in the illusion of the Six-Star Reincarnation Disc?"

"Cough...it's nothing," Qin Wuyan didn't want to talk about it and changed the subject: "By the way, I cooked some white fungus soup. Eat some before taking your medicine. Take this medicine for a few more days, and you should get better soon."

Biyao could tell that he didn't want to talk about it, but the more he didn't want to talk about it, the more curious she became. So she simply remained seated and said leisurely, "If you don't tell me, then I won't take my medicine."

As for eating... well, she's cultivated for a long time since her resurrection and could have long since abstained from grains. It's just that she has a sweet tooth and occasionally wants to enjoy some delicious food.

Qin Wuyan stepped forward and advised, "There's nothing to say, can you please stop asking?"

"No!" she said firmly.

Qin Wuyan sighed, truly at a loss with her: "Actually, it's just that... in the illusion, I went back to the time before you blocked the Immortal Execution Sword."

"And then?" Biyao pressed. She had also traveled back to that time before, and she was very curious about what Qin Wuyan's experiences would be like. She also always wondered whether the Qin Wuyan she met in the illusion had any memories of reality.

"Then..." He looked at her, his expression complicated, and said cautiously, "If I tell you, can you...can you not be angry with me?"

Biyao was taken aback, then nodded. "Tell me quickly! I promise I won't be angry!"

“I…I was afraid you’d go to Qingyun Sect again, so…I locked you up…”

His voice trailed off, but Biyao still heard him. It was so different from her own experience! She couldn't help but stand up: "What did you say? You locked me up? Then... then what happened? What became of me? And what happened to you?"

Qin Wuyan had long anticipated that she would be very agitated. With her personality, how could she possibly accept that he had imprisoned her?

He mumbled, "Later, after Zhang Xiaofan died, I released you. That's all."

Biyao didn't believe his nonsense. She walked up to him, stared at him, and asked, "And what about you, Wuyan? How did you get out of the illusion?"

Qin Wuyan avoided her gaze: "I don't know either, I just went out for no reason."

"I don't believe it!" She cupped his face, forcing him to look directly at her: "Do you think I don't know how to break the illusion of the Six-Star Reincarnation Disc?"

Qin Wuyan closed his eyes slightly, pulled down her hand, and slowly said, "Since you already know, I don't need to say anything more!"

He tried his best to calm himself down, and before she could say anything, he turned around and hurried away, bringing her a bowl of still-warm red date and white fungus soup: "Drink it while it's hot! It won't be good if it gets cold!"

Biyao took the bowl and drank it all in no time, only to find that he brought out another bowl of medicine. She sighed helplessly; this man was really... even stricter than her father.

She retorted, "I already said that I won't take the medicine unless you tell me what happened."

Qin Wuyan gently persuaded, "Take your medicine first, and I'll tell you after you do."

Biyao laughed: "Do you think I'm a three-year-old?"

Qin Wuyan felt helpless, but he didn't want to bring up that matter, much less tell her. He was silent for a moment, then his tone was almost pleading: "Biyao, let's not talk about the past anymore, okay?"

He still won't tell...

Biyao pouted, noticing a hint of sadness in his eyes, and stopped pressuring him, obediently drinking the medicine.

Qin Wuyan took the empty bowl she handed him and turned back to the kitchen. He had just put the bowl down when a pair of hands reached out and hugged him from behind.

“Wu Yan…” Bi Yao whispered, leaning against his back.

"What's wrong?" Qin Wuyan turned around and pulled her into his arms.

"It's nothing..." she answered quietly, leaning against his chest. Then, she suddenly tilted her head back, kissed the corner of his lips, and quickly added three words: "I love you!"

She felt, as she had hoped, that his body stiffened and his heart raced.

Biyao smiled slightly, her eyes sparkling like stars, and quietly looked at him: "In your illusion, I must have said a lot of things that made you sad, right?"

Before Qin Wuyan could speak, she interrupted, "I know what kind of person I was before. The way you treated me, I definitely wanted to kill you! No… perhaps, in the illusion, I did kill you?"

No one knew better than her how to break free from that illusion; it was simply a matter of life and death. But she knew that even if it was an illusion, Qin Wuyan would never kill her.

Just as she couldn't bring herself to harm him.

But... it's hard to say about the her who was once infatuated with Zhang Xiaofan.

Qin Wuyan tightened his grip on her slightly, smiled gently, and stroked her long hair: "No! You didn't kill me."

"Really?" Biyao didn't believe it.

Qin Wuyan laughed and lowered his head to place a gentle kiss on her forehead: "It's true! How could you be such a heartless person?"

Biyao frowned slightly, still looking at him: "So you committed suicide?"

He smiled and ruffled her hair: "Don't ask anymore, okay?"

"..."

Biyao had no choice but to give up. She knew him; although he usually seemed to go along with everything she said, he would never back down on important matters. Moreover, she had already pressed him to this point, and if he still didn't want to say, it was probably because he felt that telling the truth would make both of them unhappy.

Why let past troubles ruin present happiness?

but……

She reached out and wrapped her arms around his neck, smiling sweetly: "Wu Yan, do you want to know what happened to me in the illusion?"

Although the illusion didn't end well, she still wanted to share the beauty of that world with him.

Unexpectedly, Qin Wuyan said indifferently, "I don't want to." He subconsciously thought of what the mountain demon had told him, and he didn't want to hear about her grudges and entanglements with Zhang Xiaofan.

Biyao's smile vanished instantly; what a disappointment...

Sensing her displeasure, Qin Wuyan smiled and said, "If you're willing to talk, I can reluctantly listen."

Pshaw! Forcing yourself to do it...

Who cares?!

Biyao rolled her eyes at him and snorted, "Too late! I don't want to talk about it now." She let go of his hand, turned around, and walked out of the kitchen.

Qin Wuyan suppressed a laugh and quickly followed her. She returned to the chair under the Ruomu Divine Tree and lay down, turning her back to him.

He was obviously angry.

The recliner was large enough to accommodate two people. He sat down sideways, pulled her into his arms, and said gently, "I was just joking. Actually, I really want to hear it. Can you tell me about it?"

Biyao angrily threw two words at him: "No good!"

Qin Wuyan continued to speak gently in her ear, "My young master Biyao, my vice sect leader! I'm begging you, I really want to know, please have mercy on me and tell me!"

"puff……"

Biyao was amused by him, but quickly suppressed her laughter and said in a serious tone, "Alright! Then I'll reluctantly tell you about it."

A gentle breeze ripples through the air as the sun gradually sets in the west. Warm sunlight filters through the lush foliage of the Ruomu Divine Tree, sliding gently like a tender hand.

Qin Wuyan didn't know how long the two of them had been sitting together under the tree. She told the story vividly, sometimes bursting into laughter, sometimes frowning slightly. Her witty and dramatic performance was even more vivid and expressive than that of the storytellers in the streets.

He gradually realized that the nightmares he had had were actually real.

Fortunately, it turns out that a dream of death can lead to life, and a dream of misfortune can lead to good fortune.

The girl he loved deeply finally returned to his side safely.
