??35 A Spring Dream

35 A Dream

Liu Yuwei stepped through another doorway, a modern gray and white interior taking in the view. Only when she saw the row of men's sneakers and leather shoes in the closet did she realize the "other house" Li Xin had mentioned was Jin Lang's place in the same complex. It was true that ordinary people preferred to live within a reasonable distance of their parents, let alone wealthy celebrities. The two had just changed into slippers and entered the living room when a white fur ball, as if disturbed from a sweet dream, jumped off the back of the sofa. With its paws forward, it leaned down to the ground, executing a perfect cat-like stretch. "Hedwig?" Liu Yuwei blurted out without hesitation. The kitten, as if understanding its name, strode gracefully toward them. Li Xin turned to look at her, a hint of confusion in his eyes. "Do you know Mimi's name?" Liu Yuwei's heart skipped a beat, and she felt a little embarrassed. Quickly thinking, she shifted the blame onto Xiao Meng again. "My colleague is a huge fan of Jin Lang, I heard that from her." Li Xin nodded as if suddenly understanding something. "I don't know what foreign name Yangyang gave it; I can never remember it! I can only call it Mimi." She squatted down and picked up the kitten that was rubbing against her feet. "Isn't it, Mimi? A Chinese native cat like you should have a Chinese name!" Liu Yuwei listened to Li Xin's "complaint" and thought to herself that this name was something she had casually chosen back then. ... Before graduation, Liu Yuwei was walking back to her rental apartment in the alleyway when she stumbled upon a small white kitten that had been injured in a fight. A patch of fur had been torn off, revealing pink skin that bled. It lay in the grass, whimpering weakly. She hesitated for a moment, feeling that if the wound wasn't properly treated in the hot summer, it would likely become infected and possibly even fatal. Saving a cat's life was like building a seven-story pagoda. She went home, found a cardboard box, and took it to the veterinary hospital. Liu Yuwei initially wanted to give the kitten's naming rights to its adoptive owner. However, perhaps because of the loss of fur, which affected its appearance, several people who added her on WeChat politely declined after receiving the video. She complained to Jin Lang about these people judging cats by their appearance. He then earnestly suggested, "Why don't you give it a name? It'll change its fortune." Liu Yuwei stared at the pure white creature, its two small ears standing up, and its large, round amber eyes, instantly reminding her of the majestic snowy owl. "Let's call it Hedwig!" Thus, the little white cat had a "bird name" that represented loyalty and protection. I wonder if it was a good name...

Liu Yuwei stepped into another door again, and the modern gray and white decoration came into view. When she saw the row of men's sneakers and leather shoes in the cabinet, she realized that the "other house" Li Xin mentioned was Jin Lang's residence in the same community.

Yes, ordinary people all want to live within the same distance as their parents, let alone big stars who are not short of money.

The two of them had just changed into slippers and walked into the living room when the white fur ball jumped off the back of the sofa as if someone had disturbed its sweet dream.

With its two paws facing forward and the body leaning close to the ground, it perfectly displays a standard cat-like stretch.

"Hedwig?" Liu Yuwei blurted out without thinking.

The kitten seemed to understand that someone was calling its name and walked towards them with graceful steps.

Li Xin turned his head to look at her, and asked with a little doubt in his eyes, "Do you know Mimi's name?"

Liu Yuwei's heart skipped a beat and he felt a little embarrassed. He thought quickly and put the blame on Xiao Meng again.

"My colleague is a die-hard fan of Jin Lang, I heard what she said."

After hearing the explanation, Li Xin nodded as if he suddenly understood.

"I don't know what foreign name Yangyang gave me. I can never remember it! I can only call her Mimi."

As she spoke, she squatted down and picked up the kitten that was rubbing against her feet.

"Isn't that right, Mimi? A Chinese rural cat like you should have a Chinese name!"

Liu Yuwei listened to Li Xin's "complaints" and thought to himself that this name was something he had casually given to him back then.

On the eve of graduation, Liu Yuwei happened to encounter a little white cat that was injured in a fight in the alley on his way back to his rental house. A piece of its fur was torn off, revealing its pink skin that was bleeding. The cat was lying in the grass, wailing weakly.

She squatted there, hesitating for a long time, feeling that if she didn't treat the wound properly in the hot summer, it would likely become infected and possibly even kill the cat. Saving a cat's life was better than building a seven-story pagoda, so she went home, found a cardboard box, and took the cat to the vet.

Liu Yuwei originally wanted to leave the "naming rights" of the kitten to the owner who adopted it, but perhaps because a piece of fur fell off and its appearance was affected, several people who added her on WeChat to inquire about it politely declined after receiving the video.

She complained to Jin Lang about people judging cats by their appearance. He then suggested, quite seriously, "Why don't you give it a name to change its fortune?"

Liu Yuwei stared at the little creature with pure white fur, two small ears standing up, and a pair of big, round amber eyes, which instantly reminded her of the majestic snowy owl.

"Just call me Hedwig!"

So, the little white cat got a "bird name" that represents loyalty and protection.

Perhaps the naming actually worked, but Liu Yuwei soon found an adoptive parent for Hedwig. However, the adoptive parent said they would have to wait a while before moving into their new home, so she asked Liu Yuwei to help raise the baby for a while longer.

In the end, Liu Yuwei went to Germany, and it was Jin Lang who helped send Hedwig to her new home.

The light in the house was soft, and Liu Yuwei watched Li Xin gently place the cat in his arms on the ground.

She wondered if he had taken Hedwig back from someone else's house, or if he had adopted another cat of the same breed and given it the same name. The second option seemed more likely. A pet could even create a substitute literature!

Just as she was in a daze, Li Xin waved his hand as if to take her to the bedroom, and Liu Yuwei immediately followed him.

Li Xin walked to the south door, pressed the black handle, touched the wall twice, and turned on the light.

"Yu Wei, you can stay in this room!"

Before Liu Yuwei had time to see the whole house clearly, his eyes swept across the frosted glass door on one side, which was obviously a bathroom.

She quickly realized what was happening and said with a troubled look on her face, "Auntie, I'll stay in the other room! There's no way a guest can stay in the master bedroom!"

Li Xin had guessed she would refuse, so he said sincerely, "Don't fight with Auntie for the hard bed. My waist is so old that I can't straighten it up tomorrow after sleeping on a Simmons mattress all night!" "The bed in the cabin is the straw mattress I asked Jin Lang to replace for me!"

This reason made Liu Yuwei unable to refuse.

"Then I'd better sleep on the sofa!" she muttered softly.

Li Xinwen said, the corners of his eyes and lips drooping quickly, pretending to be angry, "If you do this, Auntie will be angry, otherwise we can go back to our own homes!"

Liu Yuwei was at a loss whether to laugh or cry. After a moment of stalemate, he had no choice but to compromise. Li Xin smiled with satisfaction again.

After Li Xin finished washing up in the outer room, Liu Yuwei got up from the living room and returned to Jin Lang's bedroom.

Walking to the bed, she sat in a corner, touching the four-piece suit she had just put on. The light gray long-staple cotton felt silky smooth, like caressing soft and delicate skin.

As soon as some thoughts popped up, all sorts of fanciful images flooded in. She was about to reflect on herself when Xiaohe's resounding words, "Women in the new era must face their own desires," echoed in her ears.

Liu Yuwei looked around. There was only a wardrobe, a chest of drawers and two bedside tables. There were no extra furniture and no decorative paintings on the walls.

With the dark curtains, the whole room looks a bit monotonous, and this "home" does not look as warm as a high-end hotel.

Perhaps for Jin Lang, the time he spends staying in a hotel is indeed longer than the time he spends living here.

Liu Yuwei got up and walked to the bathroom in the master bedroom. Li Xin had already prepared a new toothbrush and towel for her.

Not seeing any toothpaste on the countertop, she casually opened the door of the mirror cabinet, only to see a solitary milky white mouthwash cup inside, and some simple men's toiletries, which all seemed to be brands he endorsed.

It seems that he is indeed the only one living here. Liu Yuwei felt like a despicable "voyeur" for this sudden thought.

After washing up, Liu Yuwei lay down on the bed. Although she had changed the bedding, she still felt the scent of Jin Lang everywhere, like an invisible net, tightly enveloping her.

Lying in his bedroom and on his bed, Liu Yuwei had originally prepared herself for a sleepless night, but perhaps because she had been tense all day, she relaxed and fell asleep quickly. Unfortunately, she was also very tired in her dream.

In the afternoon, the sunlight enveloped the two of them like a golden veil.

She held the sunflower in her hand, stood on tiptoe and kissed Jin Lang's lips, her heart beating like a drum.

He quickly took control and pushed the man against the edge of the marble countertop.

The tips of the tongues intertwined like interwoven vines, with a sweet and smooth taste.

In the narrow space of the kitchen, youthful hormones spread unrestrainedly.

Soon, the two people's breathing became rapid and disordered, their cheeks flushed, and the golden flowers had quietly fallen to their feet without them knowing when.

Jin Lang put his arm around her waist, a smile on his lips, and said gently with a hoarse voice, "You can't kiss me anymore."

Looking at the deep affection and longing in the other person's eyes, she didn't know where she got the courage from, but a weak voice came out of her throat, "Actually, it's not impossible."

On the gray-pink bed, Jin Lang was lying on her, calling her name gently.

Lips replaced fingers, kissing the forehead, nose, neck, chest, and lower abdomen lightly like feathers.

The moist, warm and soft touch lingered on every inch of her skin, causing her to tremble.

It was a strange and exciting feeling, as if the body was connected to some weak electric current, making it numb and tingling.

Noticing her nervousness, he said, "Don't be afraid."

But even though I was prepared, when that moment really came, I couldn't help but sob softly.

In the tide of lust, she could only cling to him and hold on to him like driftwood on the sea, becoming one with him and weathering the storm together.

They were hugging each other intimately one second ago, and the next second they were suddenly pushed onto the bed.

"What do you like about him?"

"Good figure, good looks... or good in bed?"

The angry kiss came like a storm, leaving her no time to explain.

The initially rough movements gradually became gentler due to her cooperation and response.

The anger subsided, leaving only attachment and reluctance.

"Give me another chance!"

She climbed onto his shoulders, tilted her head slightly, and gave him a kiss as a response.

Familiar touch, familiar breath, she relaxed completely, enjoying the long-lost pleasure.

In the early morning, the alarm clock broke the silence, and Liu Yuwei slowly woke up from his sleep, but his body seemed to still be immersed in the exciting love affair, and every part of his body was filled with fatigue.

I opened my eyes and looked around. Everything in the room seemed familiar yet strange. I was in a trance for a moment and didn't know where I was.

When her consciousness gradually returned and she recalled what she had dreamed, she couldn't tell whether it was her own will or simply the result of the influence of her sleeping environment.

Liu Yuwei's cheeks felt slightly hot and she shook her head secretly.

After washing up, Liu Yuwei looked at herself in the mirror with a slightly flushed face, sorted herself out, walked out of the room, and found that Li Xin had already prepared breakfast and put it on the table.

It was all because of the intoxicating illusion. I slept too deeply and didn’t hear any movement at all.

The two sat at the dining table, enjoying breakfast and chatting. Li Xin said she wanted to go to the nearby park for a walk, as she often went there to walk and exercise.

Liu Yuwei, enjoying a rare weekday morning sunbath, happily agreed. After leaving the park, Li Xin dragged Liu Yuwei to buy meat and vegetables. By the time they returned home, it was already 12:30. With a quick collaboration, they washed, cut, and stir-fried the food, and quickly served three dishes and a soup.

After having a full meal and drinking, I was just about to clean up the dishes when I suddenly heard the sound of a door opening.

Jin Lang dragged the suitcase and smelled the aroma of food as soon as he walked in. He lowered his head to change his shoes, and at the same time heard a female duet, "You're back!"

Liu Yuwei and Li Xin said in unison and smiled at each other.

Before taking off from Berlin, Jin Lang sent Liu Yuwei the flight landing time and attached a word "sorry".

Liu Yuwei's gentle words during their previous phone call in Milan might have been because she was worried that he would be too worried in a foreign country.

The current greeting gave Jin Lang a strange illusion, as if he was the man in the movie whose mother and wife were eagerly waiting for him to return home.

At this moment, the house is no longer just cold steel and concrete, but a real home.

He casually took off his mask and hat, completely unaware that his eyes, which had just been filled with fatigue, were now full of life and love.

When Liu Yuwei saw his face again, those beautiful scenes that had been forgotten suddenly started playing automatically again, and a blush quickly appeared on her cheeks.

"Yangyang, have you eaten?"

Li Xin saw that his son's eyes fell on Liu Yuwei as soon as he entered the door. He was not angry, but instead felt a little expectant in his heart.

"There's some left from lunch. It's Yu Wei's cooking. Would you like to try it?"

Jin Lang originally had no appetite, but when he heard that it was Liu Yuwei who made it, he immediately changed his mind.

After washing his hands, he looked around and saw Liu Yuwei standing in the kitchen, with the microwave making a buzzing sound.

"Mom, I'll go help serve the food."

He explained to Li Xin who was sitting at the dinner table, and earned a knowing smile from his mother.
