The current management of Yelai River has been working there since its early days. One of them is the son of the founder of Yelai River. He was directly assigned to work there after graduating from school and has been doing so until now.
Bai Fang took a look at the photo. Although it was a photo of him when he was young, there was no doubt that it was the man he was today.
There are also some anecdotes about this man when he was young. From all aspects, it can be seen that he was not a very good person when he was young. He relied on his family's wealth to suppress and bully others everywhere, and also molested female colleagues.
Bai Fang took a quick glance and continued to scroll down, trying to find some information about the female ghost.
I looked at some of his friends, but didn't see any information about the female ghost. It felt like she was wiped out in every way, as if this person never existed.
Bai Fang picked up his coffee and stared at the computer thoughtfully.
A few years ago, when a rich man killed someone, the news was handled very cleanly. If it weren't for the female ghost, no one would have known about it.
The door of the bathroom next door opened with a click, and Yu Yao came out with a towel on her head. She carried the pile of clothes to the washing machine, and when she came back, she put two heart stickers on the table.
Bai Fang glanced at the back of his hand and asked, "Why do you have two?"
"This one isn't mine. I don't know when it got stuck in my palm." Yu Yao wiped her hair and took her own photo and put it away.
Bai Fang moved closer curiously. They were all couple stickers from Yelaihe. Yu Yao could tell hers was the one because there was a little black man drawn with a pen on the sticky side of the other one.
"Is this...that female ghost's?" Bai Fang asked doubtfully.
Yu Yao nodded. "Probably. I came across it when I was dragging that doll. The ghost girl's stickers had little people on them. I guess Liang Yubai drew them."
"What's the use of this?"
"Not sure."
The two people were also puzzled by the sticker with the little man on it.
Yu Yao rubbed her hair with a towel and said, "Doctor Bai, go take a shower first. I don't think we can come up with anything new with stickers right now."
"Okay." Bai Fang nodded, got up and went to the bathroom.
Yu Yao moved and sat in Bai Fang's seat, looking up at the page above and roughly reading everything she had just seen.
"This is horrible. Can you really do whatever you want just because you have money? How can you kill someone without even getting a reply?" Yu Yao stared at the computer screen and couldn't help but speak out in anger.
"Yeah... the management of this area was really chaotic a few years ago." A faint sigh came from the side.
Yu Yao was stunned and turned around to look around, "Who's talking?!"
"It's me..." The voice sounded indifferently. It was a woman's voice. Yu Yao had heard it before. It was the voice of the female ghost.
She paused and shrunk back on the sofa, "You, you climbed up from Yelai River?"
The female ghost sneered and said, "I originally lived in Yelai River. You just threw me back to where I came from. I soaked in cold water for a while. I am calm now."
Yu Yao looked around, "Where are you?"
"On the table."
Yu Yao carefully glanced at the table. She saw all sorts of female ghosts, but the most obvious thing on it was probably the sticker with the little man on it.
She stared blankly at the black figure drawn on the sticker. "Can you possess this?"
"Of course it's not possible, but I can say something through this, but I can't do anything else."
Yu Yao breathed a sigh of relief, then suddenly remembered Liang Yubai and immediately asked, "Where did you take Liang Yubai?"
"What are you talking about? She's a ghost exorcist and I'm a ghost. Where else can I get her?"
"After we distracted the guards, we were suddenly surrounded by a group of people from the park. They started fighting with Liang Yubai's bodyguards. We learned from them that someone knew someone had entered the underground warehouse. Liang Yubai asked me to go check it out, left this communication sticker, and let me go. What happened next is what you see."
Yu Yao looked confused. "As soon as we entered, someone immediately became alert. This means there's been someone watching there for years. They're probably the director's men. Did they also capture Liang Yubai?"
There was complete silence on the other end of the sticker.
"It's okay, don't be impulsive. Once we finish listening to the contents of the recorder, we can solve this problem." Yu Yao immediately took the recorder on the side and replaced the batteries she had just bought.
"Yu Yao?" Bai Fang's voice came from the bathroom. She was getting dressed and walking out. "I heard you talking to someone?"
"It's that female ghost." Yu Yao pointed to the sticker on the table and whispered, "She can't come over, but she can communicate with us through this."
Bai Fang glanced at the sticker and nodded. The two of them sat on the sofa together, fiddling with the recorder and trying to restart it.
"I haven't used a voice recorder much before. How do I use it?" Yu Yao looked at Bai Fang fiddling with it blankly.
The voice of a female ghost came from the sticker, teaching step by step.
After it was finally done, the room fell silent. Bai Fang placed the recorder on the table, and the two people and the ghost listened quietly to the sound.
A large part of the first part of the recorder records a conversation between a female voice and a client about some projects related to the renovation of Yelai River.
"I will go and take a look at the old facilities in the underground warehouse. Most of them are intact, and the small equipment can be repaired and used again." The voice in the recording was very young and steady, and it was talking to another steady male voice.
"After I check, I'll make a detailed statistics and send you a report." The recording contained footsteps and other sporadic sounds, such as doors closing, passers-by passing by, and the sound of elevators.
"It's so late and you haven't left work yet. Makoto, you seem to be very dedicated to your work." A man's voice suddenly came from the recording, with a light ending tone, and at the same time, there seemed to be the chaotic footsteps of other people around.
"There are young masters like you who don't work, and there are ordinary people like us who work wholeheartedly. If you have free time, why don't you go out for a drink? It will be more comfortable than teasing me here, right?" The female voice inside responded like this, still in a faint voice, without a trace of panic, and she might not even be aware of the danger.
"Look at what you said. I want to work too. Ever since you proposed the Yelai River renovation project, it's basically been your sole responsibility. What can I do?"
"That's right. It's because of you that people from other groups are now laughing at us for being good-for-nothings. A woman is the backbone of a project." The person next to him echoed.
"After this project is over, some people will be promoted, and those of us who are useless will probably be laid off."
The woman was silent for a moment before she slowly spoke, "Whatever the other teams say is their business. If you work hard, you won't be fired. Instead of worrying about these nonsense, why not work harder?"
"I also hope that Yelai River can become a stress-relieving paradise for office workers in this area. I have put in a lot of effort, so I deserve what I get in return. If I don't get any response, it means I haven't worked hard enough."
The person next to him sneered twice and muttered quietly, "What kind of effort is this? I'm afraid it's all from sleeping."
The woman was silent, then turned and walked away in her high heels.
"Where are you going?" There was a chaotic sound of footsteps following behind.
"Work, if you have nothing to do, please don't disturb me."
"Idlers? You also think we are useless good-for-nothings, right?"
"I didn't say that."
"I didn't say that, I just felt that way in my heart."
"Instead of misinterpreting what I meant, why don't you go home and take a rest and relax."
"You're already tired of us. With a project in hand, taking the lead alone is truly noble."
"Please don't disturb me while I'm working. Please go back."
"What's with that attitude?! I'm the son of the investor in the Yelai River project. Believe it or not, I can fire you tomorrow!"
The woman paused, a hint of anger in her voice. "If you can really do it, please do so. I believe they need me more than a bunch of useless people with empty power."
"You! You stinky woman!" Along with the man's furious voice, a clanging sound came from the recording, as if someone fell to the ground, followed by a burst of punching and kicking sounds, while the people below did not say a word.
"You think you're so superior! You're so capable! Everyone praises you for being independent and capable! And you're not even a woman! What can you do?"
"What a bullshit project! I think you just slept through it!"
"Pretty women are tough. Let me see how you serve those people?" The voices of several people mixed together, echoing throughout the underground warehouse.
"Let me go!" The woman's voice was filled with anger.
"Still struggling? You're still struggling!" A slap sounded throughout the empty space.
"You shameless bitch, I get angry every time I see you!" Angry slaps hit the woman's face. Several people nearby joined in the fight, and the sounds of punches and kicks were mixed with the woman's painful groans.
This sound continued for more than ten minutes.
The two people outside the recording listened silently, no one said a word.
The underground warehouse gradually became quiet until the group of people in the recording vented all their anger.
"It seems like they hit it too hard..." someone whispered.
"Could she be dead?" someone started to panic.
"He's still breathing. Let's take him to the hospital."
"Wait!" Someone hurriedly stopped them, their voice tinged with nervousness. "If we send her to the hospital, everyone will know about what happened today tomorrow. It will affect our business."
"Just give her some money and make her shut up."
"Is she someone who can be paid to shut up?"
“…”
"It's all this stinky woman's fault. She blocked our way, so she deserved to be beaten today! But no matter what, she did it. If this gets out, it won't be good for us. She only has one breath left, so if she lives, it won't be good for us..."
The man's voice gradually became quieter. "She lives here alone, has no contact with her family, and is always busy with work. She has no friends...why not..."
