Chapter 496 There is something wrong with the wine

I don’t know what Yan Meng is dawdling about. I’ve been sitting here for more than ten minutes, but I haven’t seen him.

Tang Jun was not in a hurry. He also drank the cocktail specially provided for the dance and waited slowly.

I stared at her intently, and my eyes became more and more blurry and my head felt heavy.

I rubbed my temples, suspecting it was the aftereffects of the cocktail.

My stomach felt like it was burning, and waves of nausea were coming up, making it impossible for me to sit still any longer.

I had to get up and leave, hurried into the bathroom, and vomited all over the place.

This cocktail is probably made with strong foreign liquor, otherwise it wouldn't have such a strong aftertaste.

I almost vomited everything in my stomach. I rinsed my mouth, looked up at my disheveled self in the mirror, and my vision went dark.

I don’t know if it was the alcohol, but my body felt weak and even my arms that were holding onto the sink were shaking.

This wine...

There's something wrong with this wine!

Just as a moment of clarity passed through my mind, the bathroom door was suddenly kicked open and a man dressed as a sailor rushed in.

I suddenly felt something was wrong and tried to run, but I had no strength. I had just taken two steps when the sailor grabbed me by the collar.

Then he covered my mouth tightly with his hands and dragged me out of the bathroom.

I didn't even have the strength to struggle or shout before he took me to a small room used for crew members to live in and pushed me hard onto a chair to sit down.

"What...what are you going to do?"

I tried to stand up from the chair, but I didn't have enough strength and fell back.

The sailor tied me to the chair with a rope that passed around my body in circles.

I looked at him and asked weakly, "I have no grudge against you, why are you trying to harm me?"

The sailor was wearing a mask and a hat with the brim pulled down low. I couldn't see his face or his eyes.

He didn't answer me, but took out a piece of cloth from his pocket and covered my mouth with it.

As a result, I couldn't even get any words out of him.

Just then, I heard someone passing by outside. The clear sound of footsteps ignited a glimmer of hope in my heart.

“Mmmmm!”

I tried to cry out for help, but all I could make were muffled whimpers, hardly noticeable at all.

The sailor, fearing complications, poured anesthetic liquid on his handkerchief and was walking towards me step by step.

“Hmm!”

I screamed in fear and struggled desperately, using all my strength to flip the chair and me to the ground.

With a "bang", the chair hit the ground. The sound was so loud that people passing by the door stopped.

Immediately afterwards, there was a knock on the door.

"Is anyone in there? What happened? Do you need help?"

The sailor looked alert when he heard this, and walked towards the door with a towel soaked in anesthetic, obviously intending to kill the person at the door as well.

I opened my eyes wide and felt a surge of regret.

If the people outside were in danger because of me, I would be committing a great sin.

Just as he reached out for the door handle, a familiar voice rang out—

"This is the crew's room. I guess the crew inside is resting. It's better for us guests not to disturb them."

My heart skipped a beat. It was Tang Jun!

It was definitely not a coincidence that she would appear outside the door!

I remembered how calm she was, waiting at the ball.

She was not waiting for Yan Meng, but waiting for me to drink the problematic wine and wait for the wine to take effect!
