Chapter 60: Even more shameful than a mistress

If it weren't for the fact that I was in front of other colleagues, I would have to tear off Yuan Yaxin's disguise.

I replied indifferently, "Thank you for your concern, Mr. Yuan. I was just a little frightened. It's nothing serious."

I looked at Yuan Yaxin with a cold gaze. Her tricks were meaningless.

Yuan Yaxin enjoyed it, and her slightly raised lips showed pride.

After the meeting, everyone left one after another, and as an assistant, I was naturally the last to leave.

As soon as I stood up, I saw Yuan Yaxin walking towards me.

"Have you thought it through? If you can't stand it, then resign. Maybe you can even use this incident to extort some compensation from the company!"

Her sarcasm disgusts me.

I knew that she was deliberately putting pressure on me and wanted me to give up.

The assessment of the administrative supervisor is currently at a critical stage. As long as I can survive this period of secondment to the sales department, when I am transferred back to the administrative department, the position of supervisor will basically be mine.

I will not ignore my years of hard work just because of her few words.

"I won't resign, and I certainly won't let you have your way." I forced a nonchalant smile at her and retorted, "No wonder Liu Yuan cheated on me. As the original wife, you're even less honest than Wu Ying, a mistress!"

I leaned closer to her, a hint of sympathy in my eyes, and said word by word, "Compared to her bold love and hate, you are more like the third party hiding in the shadows!"

"You!" Yuan Yaxin's face changed drastically and she suddenly raised her hand to slap.

I remained calm and reminded them calmly, "This is a conference room. The surveillance cameras are on."

Yuan Yaxin bit her lower lip hard to suppress the anger that was rising up.

Seeing her furious look, I felt much better, as if nothing had happened: "Boss Yuan, I'll get busy first."

I walked out of the meeting room in a cool manner. Even without looking back, I could guess how ugly Yuan Yaxin's face was.

When I returned to my workstation, my cell phone suddenly rang. It was the cheongsam shop calling from last time.

"Excuse me, are you Miss Lan Shan? I'm the manager of Bailu Cheongsam. Your request for a public apology has already been responded to by headquarters. Would you be able to communicate now?"

I replied, "That's convenient."

They didn't drag their feet and settled the matter peacefully, and my attitude towards this cheongsam shop has changed.

"Well, Miss Lan, a public apology will have a certain impact on our company's reputation. As a precaution, the head of our head office would like to arrange a meeting with you to understand the details."

The person in charge of the head office interviewed us in person, and their service attitude was very sincere.

I didn't think much about it and agreed readily: "Okay."

In the afternoon, according to what was said on the phone, I came to Bailu Clothing Company and told the front desk why I was there.

"Please wait a moment."

The front desk called a number and soon an assistant came down to pick me up.

"Miss Lan Shan, right? Our chairman is in the office. Please follow me."

Until now, I am very satisfied with their handling attitude.

I nodded and thanked him. After a while, the assistant knocked on the door of the chairman's office.

"Come in." The bright voice made me feel like a trickle of water flowing through my heart.

I walked into the office and a man in a black shirt had his back to me.

When I looked closely, I saw that he was actually hunched over, painting with a brush on the table.
