“She doesn’t eat bamboo shoots!”
Mingyuan and I said it almost in unison.
This scared Mingsi, and his hands shook, and he almost spilled the soup.
Mingyuan immediately took it: "I love eating bamboo shoots, I drink it."
I bit the spoon, looked at Mingsi, and stared at Mingyuan thoughtfully.
During the one and a half months that I was away, someone seemed to have come to his senses a little bit!
Qiu Qiu blushed, a rare occurrence, and apologized to Ming Si sheepishly: "I'm sorry, Auntie, I can't taste your stew."
"It's okay, it's okay, eat whatever you like!" Mingsi comforted her with a smile and picked up a piece of meat for her.
After eating and drinking, Qiu Qiu said goodbye to me reluctantly and Li Tao sent her back.
Mingyuan and I stood at the door of the villa and were not in a hurry to go in.
I asked curiously, "Uncle, you seem to know everything about Qiu Qiu's eating habits now!"
I was observing while we were eating. Mingyuan knew exactly what Qiu Qiu liked to eat, and he kept picking up dishes for her. He even refilled the juice in her glass as soon as Qiu Qiu finished drinking it.
Mingyuan is so attentive and proactive, it seems that he is not going to hide his feelings anymore.
Mingyuan snorted arrogantly, "What you told me about her preferences is wrong. She likes sweet things, but not full sugar. She can tolerate 50% sugar. It seems you're not really qualified to be her best friend!"
I opened my mouth and wanted to retort him but couldn't say anything.
I told him about Qiu Qiu's preferences with good intentions. It would be fine if he didn't appreciate me, but now he's finding fault with me?
I suppressed my anger and asked, "Your love is so obvious, you haven't confessed yet, have you?"
"Is it important?"
I was speechless: "Why is it not important? You have to confess your feelings to someone before you can understand whether they are willing to accept you!"
"I already know." Mingyuan was extremely confident. "She likes me in her heart. There's no need to test her by confessing her feelings."
I was stunned for a moment and couldn't keep up with Mingyuan's train of thought.
"Then what?"
"What then?"
Mingyuan disagreed: "Isn't it better to just let things take their own course?"
At one point, I began to doubt whether there was something wrong with my view on love.
Shouldn't he confess his feelings and ask Qiu Qiu to be with him?
What does "let it be" mean? Is this what they're in a relationship?
I was about to ask further questions when Mingyuan turned around and walked back.
I quickly followed and asked for confirmation, "So is Qiu Qiu your girlfriend now?"
Mingyuan didn't answer me, but instead informed me, "I see you're in good spirits now. I think you've recovered well and there's nothing serious wrong with you. Go back to work tomorrow to prevent your brain from getting rusty."
"You are so inhumane! I just returned home!" I complained to him on the surface, but I had already accepted his notice in my heart. Even if he didn't say it, I would go to the company tomorrow.
Mingyuan didn't feel he was being overly harsh and said as a matter of course, "You're the chairman of Huake, and I'm just filling in temporarily. Now that you're back, you still have to continue managing the company. Don't think of leaving this mess to me."
Mingyuan would never take over Huake.
After hearing our conversation, Mingsi interrupted Mingyuan.
"No, Xiaoshan can't go to work tomorrow. I have to take her to the hospital."
Mingsi pulled me to sit next to her and touched my head. "I don't know if the blow hurt your head. It would be terrible if there were any sequelae. We must go to the hospital for a check-up first."
