When I woke up, I was already lying in a hospital ward.
When I opened my eyes, I saw Mingsi sitting beside my bed, holding my hand tightly.
Next to Mingsi was Yan Meng, who had a gloomy face.
My head was still dizzy, and I spoke softly in a hoarse voice: "Mom..."
This sound made Mingsi raise his head instantly, with surprise in his eyes: "You awake? Don't say anything yet, I'll go call the doctor!"
Mingsi hurried out, anxious to find a doctor.
I frowned, trying to suppress the discomfort of my headache, and asked Yan Meng: "What's wrong with me?"
My mind was blank at that moment and I had no memory of what happened.
Yan Meng sat a little closer to me and replied, "You fainted at the celebration party, and everyone was worried sick."
A celebration? Fainting?
I silently repeated these two words in my mind, and vaguely remembered something.
When Miao Zhi mentioned the child, my emotions started to get out of control. I wanted to strangle her to death like crazy and finally passed out.
My heart tightened and I looked at Yan Meng with worry.
Just as I was about to ask him if my condition had worsened, the ward door was pushed open and Mingsi walked in with the doctor.
The doctor examined me and couldn't find anything wrong.
"Her physical data are all normal. Although she suffered a head injury, she currently does not have any physiological pathology."
"Then why did she suddenly faint?" Mingsi asked anxiously.
The doctor pondered for a moment and analyzed, "Her sudden fainting cannot be ruled out as being caused by psychological factors. Don't put too much pressure on yourself in normal times. Don't be too stimulated in situations like this, otherwise you will faint or even go into shock."
Mingsi was shocked and vaguely realized something.
After sending the doctor away, Mingsi sat by my bed and questioned me with a gloomy face, "I heard everything. Miao Zhi was alone with you when the accident happened. Did she say something to you to deliberately provoke you?"
Not only did I recall Miao Zhi's harsh words, but my heart also ached.
Seeing that my expression was not right, Mingsi already had the answer.
She said angrily, "This Miao Zhi is obviously not a good person! I have to find out what her background is. How dare she bully my daughter? I will make her pay for it in the capital!"
"Mom." I recovered and stopped her helplessly, giving her a soothing smile. "I'm almost 30, and now I'm being bullied and I need my mom to stand up for me. Am I really useless?"
Ming Si disagreed: "That Miao Zhi is just looking for trouble! I really don't understand why Lu Zhiyuan would fall for such a woman!"
I really don't want to hear anything about Lu Zhiyuan.
I took Mingsi's hand and smiled at her, "Mom, I've decided not to cooperate with Xiguang Technology anymore. Lu Zhiyuan and I won't have any more contact. I'll just stay away from those villains. There's no need to lower myself to argue with them."
Lu Zhiyuan and I even divorced, but Miao Zhi still regards me as a competitor.
He is also not in a clear mind. I am too lazy to get angry with such a person.
Mingsi was still worried. She tried to persuade me, "But it's not a good idea for you to keep fainting like this. Why don't you go see a psychiatrist? See if there's any stress relief treatment that might help you recover."
Yan Meng, who was standing by, suddenly spoke up: "Auntie, the psychologist who treated Xiao Shan in Europe will be coming to Beijing soon. Why not let him continue to provide hypnosis treatment for Xiao Shan?"
