Chapter 954: Two Different People

The surgery on my leg was successful. Although the wound on my leg still hurts, it is only a flesh wound and does not affect my walking.

The next day, I used the excuse that I was too bored in the room and wandered around the villa.

This villa has a large space, with three floors and a terrace on the top floor.

I stood on the terrace and looked out into the distance, where I could clearly see the sea.

I looked at the azure sky in the distance and was sure that I was currently in a coastal city.

I glanced at the servant who was always by my side behind me and asked curiously, "I didn't expect to see such a beautiful sea in Europe. I don't know which city this is. I didn't even know there was such a beautiful place before."

The servant seemed not to hear me and did not respond.

I simply asked her more directly: "Where are we now?"

"Of course it's in the seaside villa that Mr. prepared specially for you!"

The servant didn't fall for my trick at all and even went out of his way to explain for Yan Meng: "The master said you like the sea, so he specially arranged this seaside villa for you. I hope you like it here."

She didn't mention the location of the villa at all, and her ambiguous answer seemed more like it was arranged in advance.

I frowned, walked straight to the maid, and whispered in her ear, "Tell me where this is? Otherwise, I have many ways to make you be punished by Yan Meng."

The servant trembled with fear and begged me with a sad face: "No! Miss Lan Shan, please don't embarrass me. We really can't tell you. If I tell you, my fate will only be worse."

Looking at the servant's frightened eyes, I finally softened my heart.

They were just following orders and didn't dare to resist Yan Meng either. It was useless for me to force her.

I had expected this, but I still felt a little disappointed and could only sigh silently.

"I think the flowers in the garden are beautiful. Come with me to take a look."

"yes."

The servant accompanied me to the garden. The flowers and plants in the garden were obviously carefully trimmed and were pleasing to the eye.

We were strolling in the garden when we unexpectedly saw a figure in white clothes in the corner.

The figure had its back to me, huddled in the corner, not knowing what it was doing.

I wanted to go over out of curiosity, but was stopped by the servant.

The maid obviously didn't want me to pass, and there was some fear in her eyes.

But the more this happens, the more curious I become.

I pushed the servant's hand away, walked straight to the corner of the garden, and asked the figure softly.

"Who are you? Why are you hiding here?"

As I asked the question, the figure slowly turned around. When I saw the face, I couldn't help but be surprised.

"Is it you?"

It was the nurse I saw when I opened my eyes that day.

She was completely different from the day before. Her face was haggard and pale, and she had lost a lot of weight.

When she saw me, her eyes were full of fear. She staggered back two steps and fell to her knees on the ground, as if she had seen a ghost.

This made me feel alarmed, and I asked her suspiciously, "What's wrong with you? Why are you so scared when you see me? Why are you like this?"

"I..." The nurse trembled and couldn't utter a complete sentence. Her eyes were red and full of pleading.

Just as I was frowning in confusion, a man who looked like a bodyguard came over and grabbed her arm without any mercy.

"I think you haven't been beaten enough yet. How dare you provoke Miss Lan Shan?!"
