Chapter 418: Unkind Father

The man she loved was belittled like this by Tang Tianxiang. Tang Jun subconsciously wanted to defend Yan Meng: "It's not like that..."

As soon as she opened her mouth, she was frightened by the look Tang Tianxiang gave her, and she swallowed the rest of her explanation back into her stomach.

Tang Tianxiang snorted coldly and directly misinterpreted Tang Jun's meaning.

"It's not the best. You and Yan Meng are not suitable. Don't have any thoughts about him."

Seeing Tang Jun lowering her head dejectedly and not saying a word, I suddenly understood why she had never confessed her feelings to Yan Meng directly even though she and Yan Meng had known each other for so many years.

Tang Jun should have known about Tang Tianxiang's prejudice against Yan Meng before.

She didn't want to make Tang Tianxiang angry, so she kept her feelings for Yan Meng in her heart and didn't dare to test it.

And I didn't expect that Tang Tianxiang would have such a deep prejudice against Yan Meng.

Since I met Yan Meng, I have heard him talk about him and his mother, but I have never heard him mention his father.

Before, I always thought that his father had passed away, so Yan Meng never mentioned it. Later, Qiu Qiu told me that Yan Meng's father was still alive, but he had always had a bad relationship with his father because his father had betrayed him and his mother.

I can understand Yan Meng's hatred for his father, especially after his mother's death.

I didn't want Yan Meng to be misunderstood, so I started to defend him without thinking.

"Dad, Yan Meng is not the ungrateful person you claim he is. It was his father who first let them down. It was his father who was at fault first. You can't say Yan Meng is unfilial. You can only say his father is unkind and unworthy of Yan Meng's filial piety."

I was a little excited and inexplicably put myself into Yan Meng's experience.

I looked at Tang Tianxiang, and although I was talking about Yan Meng and his father, I also hoped in my heart that my words could warn Tang Tianxiang.

Tang Tianxiang's eyes were mischievous, and I wondered if he understood what I meant.

He just snorted coldly and said sternly, "No matter what his father did before, there is no right in this world for a son to accuse his father of wrongdoing."

There was a tendency for him and I to argue. Mingsi sensed something was wrong and quickly intervened to smooth things over: "I've met Yan Meng before. He's a good kid and a good person."

"And Xiaoshan was able to return to the Tang family thanks to Yan Meng and his mother. They persevered in helping us search for her over the years and finally helped us find our daughter."

Mingsi originally wanted to use this to change Tang Tianxiang's prejudice against Yan Meng, but I clearly saw Tang Tianxiang looking at me with a sharp look.

He looked grim, as if he was suppressing his emotions.

Although he didn't lose his temper with me in front of Mingsi, the look in his eyes when he looked at me was full of warning.

This made my eyelids twitch, and my intuition told me that Tang Tianxiang suddenly reacted so excitedly because he heard the warning in my words.

He accused Yan Meng of speaking ill of his father, and was secretly telling me not to meddle in other people's business.

Tang Tianxiang’s reaction made me more and more suspicious. It was hard for me to convince myself that there was nothing innocent between Tang Tianxiang and Cai Ya.

Tang Tianxiang could understand why Yan's father blamed Yan Meng, which showed that he and Yan's father were the same kind of people.

My accusations against Mr. Yan just hit his sore spot, which made him so angry and embarrassed that he even started an argument with me.

My intuition tells me that there must be something between him and Cai Ya.
