Seeing that I didn't say anything, Jin Shu laughed sarcastically.
"I thought you cared about Che Xiaofeng so much, but it turns out you hesitate too. So you see, people are selfish, and emotions are not reliable."
"Don't assume everyone is as cold-blooded as you." I interrupted her criticism and said firmly, "I promise to see you."
I knew she was trying to provoke me, but even if she hadn't said that, I would have agreed to meet her.
Just because she is Che Xiaofeng's only hope to survive.
"Lan Shan, I knew you would agree." Jin Shu's attitude seemed to know me very well.
"Meet at the door of the intensive care unit at ten o'clock tomorrow morning."
Jin Shu agreed on a time with me and then hung up the phone.
I don't know why, but I could sense a desperate mood in Jin Shu's phone call.
"Did Jin Shu call you?"
Mingyuan's question brought me back to my senses. When I looked up, everyone was staring at me, waiting for my answer.
I nodded. "Jin Shu wants to see me, and she agrees to do a spinal cord transplant for Xiaofeng."
"Really?" Mingsi's eyes lit up. "I was saying, what mother would really let her own flesh and blood die? Even the worst and most heartless people will always have maternal instincts."
Maybe.
I thought to myself.
If Jin Shu really decided to give up hatred and fighting because of her maternal instinct and just wanted to save Che Xiaofeng's life and protect her only relative, then there is nothing wrong with it.
But if she meets me and still wants to use Che Xiaofeng's life as a threat to achieve some of her goals, then she will be unforgivable.
I looked up at Mingyuan, who was lost in thought. "Uncle, Jin Shu asked me to meet her tomorrow morning at ten o'clock. But she offered to plant police and our people in the hospital."
Mingyuan frowned, puzzled. "What does she mean by this? Is she trying to walk into a trap? Or is she planning to perish together with her?"
I have the same concerns as Mingyuan.
If Jin Shu really wanted to surrender himself, why did he wait until now?
I reminded Mingyuan: "Until we find out whether Jin Shu has other intentions, we must keep the Interpol people on alert."
Mingyuan nodded and said, "Well, I'll notify Zhuo Hai right away and ask him to deploy police forces at the hospital."
Watching Mingyuan walk into the study to make a phone call, I slowly exhaled.
Just hope everything goes well tomorrow.
The next day, I packed up and came out of the room, and saw Mingyuan waiting at the door.
He still looked at me with some concern: "Xiao Shan, the hospital has already set up surveillance. If anything goes wrong, please let me know at any time."
"Yeah." I smiled at Mingyuan, using a joking tone to ease the tension in the atmosphere. "After going through so much, I've become very smart."
Mingyuan looked at me helplessly and wanted to take me there.
Before I even stepped out of the villa, Mingsi called me.
"Xiaoshan!"
I turned around and Mingsi looked at me with a worried look, "Be careful!"
I know that the accident that happened after Jin Shu and I met last time has left them with lingering fears, and they are afraid that it will happen again.
I nodded obediently to Mingsi: "I know, wait for my good news."
I was actually scared, especially when I thought about the unbearable pain in my legs.
But I have no choice. For Che Xiaofeng, I am willing to give it a try.
