Chapter 6 Praise

Chapter 6 Praise

Shang Yuze's pupils shrank slightly, and his fingers curled up in his palms. "We are husband and wife, and I should do all this."

The tips of Gu Qingyue's ears turned red, her eyes were slightly lowered, and she looked a little shy and awkward.

After getting in the car, Gu Qingyue thought of the phone Shang Yuze gave her when she went to school to get something.

She pulled out a black cell phone from her pocket, not daring to look him in the eye: "Give me back your phone."

Shang Yuze didn't start the car or answer the phone. He glanced at her sideways. The little girl lowered her head, her long eyelashes trembling, and looked shy.

The man chuckled and said, "Did you remember my phone number?"

Gu Qingyue was stunned. She didn't even open her phone to remember the number.

Without hesitation, Gu Qingyue cleverly opened her phone, flipped through the contacts, and clicked on the number marked "Shang Yuze". She had a photographic memory, and just by repeating the number silently in her mind, she had already memorized it.

"I remember." She turned off the screen of her phone and handed it to Shang Yuze again, her big eyes blinking, like a good baby asking for praise.

"That's amazing!" Shang Yuze praised, his thin lips slightly curled up, and a smile of success flashed in his eyes. He took the phone and put it on the shelf.

Gu Qingyue's red lips curved slightly and her eyes sparkled when she was praised.

No matter how good her grades were when she was a child, no matter how obedient and sensible she was, she could never get a word of praise from "Mom and Dad". Now, people praise her just for memorizing a phone number. How could she not be happy?

Shang Yuze smiled silently. He was so happy with just a compliment. He really had the mentality of a child.

Yujing Manor under the setting sun is like a dream, like a palace in the sky, luxurious, dazzling and brilliant.

The carved gate opened and the car slowly drove into the manor.

Inside, perfection and exquisiteness are displayed everywhere, with rockery fountains, gurgling water flowing slowly under the quaint bridge, lawn gardens, pavilions, towers, and villas of all sizes arranged in an orderly manner.

The car stopped at the door of the main villa, and Gu Qingyue followed Shang Yuze inside.

The interior is decorated in a cool and cold style with murals and carvings, and the rotating black in the center is low-key and restrained.

Gu Qingyue admitted that she had never seen the world, and she was so shocked along the way that she was speechless.

I thought the Gu family’s old house was big and luxurious enough, but compared with Yujing Manor, it was like heaven and earth.

Gu Qingyue looked around, curious about everything inside.

Shang Yuze stood quietly beside her and looked at her, his eyes revealing a tenderness and doting that he himself was not aware of.

Gu Qingyue turned around and suddenly saw a black shadow that looked like a wolf flying towards her at an extremely fast speed.

"Ah!" She screamed instinctively. Fear made her mind go blank. Her body was stiff and her legs seemed to weigh a thousand pounds. She couldn't move them.

The next moment, a cold fragrance spread in the air, and Gu Qingyue fell into a warm embrace. An indescribable emotion quickly occupied her brain, eroding her sanity.

My heart started to pound wildly in my chest, and for a moment I couldn't tell whether it was because of the shock or because of the man next to me.

Shang Yuze put his arm around her shoulders and yelled at the figure running towards him, "Cang Yun."

Cang Yun braked suddenly, scratched the floor with his front paws, stuck out his tongue, and his eyes darted back and forth over Gu Qingyue, looking extremely excited.

Who is this?

The first time I saw my father bring a girl home.

Is it its future mother?

Shang Yuze lowered his head. The girl in his arms was obviously frightened. Her little face was pale and her thin body shivered uneasily in his arms.

His eyebrows were gentle, his eyes were soft, and his voice was also gentle: "Don't be afraid, he won't bite, he just saw that you were too excited and wanted to play with you."

Gu Qingyue's fingers were clutching the clothes on Shang Yuze's shoulders. The originally smooth shirt was wrinkled by her grip. She looked at the shadow that had just pounced on her in shock.

It is large in size, with smooth and dense silver-white fur, a sturdy body, upright triangular ears, well-developed neck muscles, and straight and strong limbs, making it look majestic.

Gu Qingyue shrank back into Shang Yuze's arms, her throat tightening. "Is this a wolf?"

But it seems a little different from that of ordinary wolves.

"No, it's a Czech Wolfdog, a kind of dog, but it looks like a wolf." When Shang Yuze looked at Cang Yun, the warmth in his eyes disappeared in an instant, and a thin layer of frost covered his handsome face. His tone was slightly cold.

"Come here and apologize to her."

Cang Yun realized that he was in trouble. His head drooped and his voice became low, like a child who had made a mistake.

It was just too exciting, it wasn't intentional, and it didn't expect to scare people.

After knowing that Cang Yun was not a wolf, Gu Qingyue was not so scared anymore. Now, seeing its aggrieved look, she felt sorry for it.

She came out of Shang Yuze's arms and greeted him tentatively: "Hello... Hello, I'm Gu Qingyue."

Cang Yun's eyes lit up instantly. He looked up at Gu Qingyue and wagged his tail excitedly.

Gu Qingyue pursed her lips and chuckled: "You are so good."

Shang Yuze patted its head: "Cang Yun, she will be your mother from now on. Don't bully her. Do you hear me?"

"Woof woof." Cang Yun barked twice, as if to say that he heard it.

Gu Qingyue's cheeks flushed, and she stared at Shang Yuze with her big eyes, scolding him, "What nonsense are you talking about?"

Shang Yuze stared at her. The little girl's fox eyes were sparkling, her porcelain-white cheeks were slightly flushed, and her voice was soft. She seemed to be acting coquettishly.

The corner of his lips curled up slightly, and a smile flickered in his eyes: "We have already obtained the marriage certificate. You are my legitimate wife, Mrs. Shang."

Gu Qingyue's face turned even redder, and her whole face was burning.

Shang Yuze looked at the shy little girl and smiled silently. With her around, life seemed to be more fun.

Knowing that she was shy, Shang Yuze stopped teasing her and led her to the fifth floor.

He opened the bedroom door: "Is it okay for you to live here?"

Gu Qingyue stuck her head in to look inside. The bedroom was decorated in warm colors. The off-white curtains were bright and soft, the exquisite bay windows were cozy and romantic, the oversized dressing room took up an entire wall, the large white bed looked comfortable and soft, and there was a desk next to it. The bedroom also had a separate bathroom.

The room looks new and doesn't look like anyone has lived in it.

Her gaze shifted to Shang Yuze's face: "Where do you live then?"

"Next door." Shang Yuze pointed to the side.

Gu Qingyue looked in the direction of his finger. The two rooms were not far apart. There were only two bedrooms and one study on the entire fifth floor.
