Chapter 4 "Sister"
Jing Cang agreed, and while Yu Fei was changing clothes, he ordered the guards to explore the way first, so that she could take him out and avoid the places with bounty notices.
In order to conceal her tracks, she found a large maid's coat and dress and wanted to get him to wear it. However, the tiger was in a desperate situation and still wanted to maintain his power, so he refused to wear women's clothes no matter what.
Yu Fei had to use all kinds of persuasion, coaxing and acting cute before she finally coaxed him into changing his clothes and going out.
Dingxiang pushed the wheelchair, and Yu Fei walked beside Jing Cang, looking at his cherry pink dress showing under his veil, and calling him "sister" affectionately and jokingly from time to time.
The veil of his hat was down to his knees, so she couldn't see his expression, but she could imagine that his handsome face must have been dark and red with embarrassment.
The streets were very busy at noon, with hawking, talking, laughing, and shouting, like a pot of boiling porridge bubbling and overflowing.
Yu Fei took Jing Cang to walk through quiet alleys with few people. I don't know what this person was thinking, but he repeatedly suggested going to the busy city to take a look.
Yu Fei leaned over and coaxed him softly, "Brother, there are many people over there, and you are injured. If someone is blind and bumps into you, it will be bad."
Jing Cang didn't care: "You brought a lot of guards with you, can't you protect the two of us? I'm just a man, I'm not that fragile." He paused and added, "Since it's a busy city, there must be local officials on duty, there won't necessarily be a lot of good and bad people."
What you said makes a lot of sense. There is a bounty notice for you over there. Yu Fei groaned in his heart and thought about countermeasures.
Jing Cang sighed as if with regret: "I want to go to the downtown area. I really want to feel the local customs and see if I can recover some memories. If Miss Yu has something to hide, forget it."
You kid, I think you have learned the lesson of retreating to advance. If she doesn't take you with her, it means she has some unspeakable secret.
Shu County is so big, but he insisted on going there to make trouble. Could he have remembered something?
Yu Fei stood still and watched.
She thought for a moment and said with a smile, "There's nothing to hide."
Pointing at her own cherry pink dress, his was made of ordinary linen, while hers was made of light gauze that cost a hundred taels of silver per foot. It was soft, thin, and very easy to get caught.
"I'm wearing a new skirt today and I'm afraid it'll get dirty if I go to a crowded place. If you want to go, I'll go with you."
The girl loved the beautiful dress she was wearing, but faced with the request of her lover, she had to give in. She looked a little aggrieved, but more of a flatterer.
Jing Cang stared at Yu Fei through her hat and skirt. After seeing her expression clearly, the strange feeling in his heart slowly disappeared.
In the past few days, he did remember something, but it was in his dreams and it was related to his background and family.
He dreamed of red walls, green tiles, and towering palaces, like an imperial palace. He also dreamed of a woman wearing a phoenix crown sewing clothes under a lamp, and a man in a dragon robe teaching the young him to learn Chinese characters.
He guessed which royal relative he was.
Although we don't know who hurt him, if he is of high status and is missing in the Shu County area, I'm sure someone in his family will come looking for him. The best way is to post a bounty notice.
Notices were usually posted in busy streets, and Yu Fei repeatedly stopped him from going, as if he was afraid that he would see his news and go back home.
The abnormal behavior of the people in Lenovo Hospital inevitably makes people suspicious of her intentions.
Seeing her like this, he sighed inaudibly, perhaps he was really thinking too much.
Jing Cang nodded, "Thank you, Miss Yu."
He thought about saying that he would compensate her for the skirt in the future, but then he had no clue of how to go home, and thought that empty words would be rude to the girl, so he added a valuable dress to the treasures he would give her in return. But he had to go to the market.
After seeing this test, Yu Fei secretly congratulated herself on her quick thinking. Fortunately, she asked Ding Xiang a question when she was changing clothes, otherwise she would not know the material and price of this ancient skirt.
Jing Cang lost her memory but her brain wasn't broken, so she could definitely tell that her skirt was very expensive. It was natural that she cherished it very much and didn't want to get it dirty in a crowded place.
But I promised to take him to the city, but I couldn't justify not fulfilling my promise.
It is not yet known how much memory he has recovered.
"Gulp..."
An inopportune voice sounded, and Yu Fei suddenly had an idea. She covered her stomach and said coquettishly, "Brother, I'm hungry. I want to eat the dragon beard cake and peach blossom cake from Jinli Street. I'll ask Dingxiang to buy them for me. You can try them too. After we're full, let's go to some busy streets for a stroll, okay?"
Jing Cang saw Yu Fei stroking her flat belly. Her waist, which was held up by the belt, was so slender that it could be held in one hand.
She seemed to be growing up.
But she only eats snacks... no wonder she is so thin.
But her bust was just as plump as other girls', and she even had the potential to be on par with women.
Realizing that he had been staring at her for too long and judging her in his mind, he shook his head, thinking that this was not a gentlemanly act.
Yu Fei saw his veil shaking and didn't understand what he was doing. Was there a bug?
I don't care, as long as he is easy to talk to.
She pulled Dingxiang over and walked to one side, loudly demanding what she wanted to eat. She stole a glance at Jing Cang, who was still sitting there as quiet as a chicken. She quickly mouthed some instructions to Dingxiang.
Dingxiang took two guards to buy food.
Yu Fei chatted with Jing Cang as if nothing had happened.
She silently hoped that the three of them could handle the tasks she had asked them to do.
She asked them to find a street that was busy but had no notice of wanting Jing Cang, or to secretly take down the notice when the officials were not paying attention. Then she would symbolically take Jing Cang for a stroll in the busy area and be done with it.
Before Yu Fei finished explaining the customs of Shu County to Jing Cang, Ding Xiang came back with a slightly pale face. She thought something was wrong, so she took a step forward, deliberately blocking Ding Xiang's body, and asked loudly, "What's wrong?"
Ding Xiang was a perceptive person, and she replied in a pretentious tone: "Miss, one of our guards didn't watch where he was walking and knocked over a vendor's stall. Now they are asking us to pay for it. The three of us didn't bring that much..."
After that, he quickly mouthed the news, "Run, there are officials ahead searching for people with portraits."
Yu Fei understood, and her feet felt like they were nailed to the ground, unable to pull out. She paused for a few seconds, threw a money bag to Ding Xiang, and said, "Find a guard to deliver it to them."
She looked around the alley and suddenly saw a few minor officials in red clothes and black hats holding drawing papers walking towards them at the entrance of the alley in front of them.
"Miss, you said you wanted to make some autumn clothes. There is a ready-made clothing store here." Dingxiang pointed to a store a few meters away and shouted.
"Yes, yes, yes." Yu Fei nodded quickly. The natives were more familiar with this place. She turned around to push Jing Cang's wheelchair, and her soft voice trembled a little, "Sister, come with me to buy some clothes."
