Chapter 5 Mood
When Yu Fei entered the store, he felt a soul falling from the sky onto his body.
Ding Xiang played the role of a capable general and handed the proprietress a gold ingot, saying, "Today our lady has reserved the place for herself."
"Okay." The proprietress took the gold with a smile, closed the shop door, and hung up a sign saying "Not accepting customers at this time."
Jing Cang watched Yu Fei push him into the shop in a panic, and finally couldn't help but speak: "Miss Yu, what's wrong with you?"
His eyes were clear, so he could naturally see the officer holding the portrait and looking for someone.
Seeing her like this, he couldn't help but suspect that those people were looking for him. And she did something shameful, so she didn't dare to expose it to him.
When Yu Fei heard Jing Cang's slightly questioning tone, he couldn't help but feel annoyed.
He had no idea what she had just been through.
If the officials found him and told him the truth about his broken leg, he would definitely let the court punish her, and she would suffer the same fate as the original owner, being beaten to death and turned into meat paste!
Yu Fei took a deep breath.
She hasn't yet subjugated Jing Cang, so she can't lose her temper. She has to continue pretending to be a little white rabbit to gain his trust.
She clenched her palms with one hand and held her forehead with the other, pretending to be weak and said, "It's nothing. I'm just a little dizzy because I'm hungry."
Jing Cang saw that her face was pale and her forehead was covered with sweat, and she didn't seem to be pretending, so he thought to himself, so that's why.
But then he thought about how she had just pushed him into the store with great speed and strength, and how she had become so weak in the blink of an eye?
A little weird.
I couldn't help but scrutinize it again.
Yu Fei knew that a simple "dizzy" would not fool Jing Cang, so she thought that he must be trying to spy on her reaction through the veil and study the truth in her words.
Yu Fei was not afraid of him seeing her. She hadn't had lunch in the first place, and she was severely frightened. She felt weak all over and dizzy at the moment.
She leaned against the wall, lowered her head and gasped.
"Miss Yu, what's wrong with you?" The proprietress looked sharp and saw that Yu Fei looked like she was having an emergency.
"Our young lady said she was feeling a little weak due to hunger." Dingxiang replied following Yu Fei's words.
"Oh." The proprietress nodded, as if she was not surprised that young girls nowadays dieted for beauty. She handed over a plate of cakes with a warm smile on her face that looked like a steamed bun. "If Miss Yu doesn't mind, have two pieces first."
Dingxiang looked at Yu Fei's expression, and Yu Fei nodded, indicating that she should take it.
The cake was an ordinary sweet-scented osmanthus cake, with a rough appearance and a very sweet aroma, which looked unpalatable. However, Yu Fei ate two pieces in a row, chewing them ravenously, as if he was really hungry.
On the one hand, she wanted to fill her hungry stomach, and on the other hand, she was deliberately acting in front of Jing Cang to prove that her haste and panic before entering the store was completely due to hunger.
“Ahem…”
She ate too quickly and a mouthful of pastry got stuck in her throat, causing her to cough.
"Miss, eat slowly." Dingxiang hurriedly brought a glass of water and made it for her to drink.
Jing Cang saw that Yu Fei was like a hungry kitten, eating the cakes greedily. However, her small mouth could not hold so much, and she choked, her face flushed and her eyes filled with tears.
He couldn't help but wonder if it was because he urged her to go to the market in a hurry that she was afraid of wasting time, so she didn't go to the restaurant to eat and asked the servants to buy some snacks to fill her stomach.
She had regular meals at the Yu Mansion and didn't seem to be very fond of snacks.
Today, I feel very hungry.
Just now she hurriedly brought him into the shop. Could it be that she was so hungry that she was about to faint, and was afraid of making a fool of herself outside, so she pushed the wheelchair with all her strength as if she had a last burst of energy?
This makes sense.
"Don't worry, Miss Yu. I have more for you when you finish eating." The proprietress laughed jokingly, "You are still like a child."
"I'm an adult." Yu Fei stole a glance at Jing Cang and retorted softly. Her tender voice with a hint of crying made her sound even more childish.
Jing Cang stroked the armrest of the wheelchair with one hand, thinking to himself that he was worrying too much and worrying too much.
Even if Yu Fei is a bit cunning, she is just a little girl after all, how can she cause any trouble?
"Brother, what kind do you want to eat?"
The guards bought dragon beard pastry and peach blossom cake. Yu Fei opened the two oil paper packages and held them in front of Jing Cang like treasures.
The lady boss at the side opened her mouth in surprise, and Ding Xiang mouthed, "Mood, mood."
Jing Cang was somewhat unhappy that Yu Fei had exposed his identity as a woman in front of outsiders. It was always shameful for a man to wear women's clothes and be known by others.
He suppressed his slight anger and picked up a piece of dragon beard crisp.
Yu Fei sensed Jing Cang's unhappy mood, turned around and rolled his eyes.
She accidentally said the wrong thing, and she didn't mean to expose his identity as a crossdresser. The aura around him was so strong that it seemed that he wanted to freeze the air into ice and freeze her to death.
Don’t look down on a young girl because she is poor.
When she succeeds in trapping him, he will be a grasshopper in her hand. If she tells him to face east, he will not dare to face west.
Now we have to endure hardships and work hard before we can defeat Wu with only 3,000 Vietnamese soldiers.
Yu Fei smiled and slowly selected a few pieces of fine cloth for Jing Cang to make clothes, and also selected a few pieces for herself to make autumn clothes.
The proprietress recommended the ready-made skirts in the store. Seeing that the size was suitable, Yu Fei went to a special room to try them on.
Yu Fei took off her cherry pink dress and called Ding Xiang to help her get dressed.
"Hurry up and get something."
She pulled off her white panties as well.
Dingxiang quickly pulled out a can of sealed chicken blood from her arms, opened the lid, and sprinkled it on the hem of her pink skirt and the crotch of her panties.
He helped Yu Fei put on a new skirt.
Then, as the master and servant had discussed, he walked into the store and whispered, "Boss, do you sell panties and sanitary belts? My young lady is having her period..."
The lady boss said, "I have panties, but no sanitary belts. However, I have two new pairs that I'm not using. I'll give you one."
Dingxiang returned to the fitting room with her panties and menstrual blood in her pocket.
Yu Fei put on her panties and asked Ding Xiang to put away her menstrual belt.
She also used powder to make her rosy face look a little pale, as if she had lost too much blood.
This was her plan B - if something unexpected happened while she was out, she would pretend to be having her period and was in unbearable pain and weakness and had to go home.
She was too sympathetic to treat him with kindness, after all, he was still under her roof.
Yu Fei was supported by Ding Xiang and returned to the store. He casually instructed, "Take my dirty clothes away quickly, don't ask the boss lady to clean them up."
"Yes, yes." Dingxiang hurried over.
Yu Fei leaned against the counter, looked at Jing Cang shyly and timidly, and whispered: "Brother, I'm not feeling well. I'm afraid I can't accompany you to the market..." She frowned, covered her lower abdomen, and looked a little painful.
"No problem."
Jing Cang said calmly, "As long as he is accompanied by a guard, he can go alone."
"Really?" Yu Fei's tearful eyes sparkled with joy. "Then I'll go with you after I get better in a few days. I want to go home and drink red date and black chicken soup. What do you want to eat for lunch?"
Jing Cang saw that Yu Fei was talking about food with great interest. She seemed to have misunderstood something. He did not plan to go back with her.
"I……"
"Oh, how embarrassing, throw away the cloves."
Just then Dingxiang came out holding the bloodstained clothes, and Yu Fei covered her face and interrupted Jing Cang's words.
Dingxiang went out with her dress wrapped up in a ball, and a corner of her panties seemed to be accidentally exposed. The originally white fabric was thoroughly stained with bright red blood.
Jing Cang saw it and tilted his head.
Yu Fei smiled imperceptibly and asked the guard to settle the bill and get the things.
"Brother, let's go home."
She walked over to Jing Cang.
