Chapter 115

Chapter 115

Ever since they'd been together, his heart hadn't ached, her bones hadn't ached, and her hands and feet had warmed. But ever since they'd been apart, everything had gotten worse.

Old Yi was feeling particularly bad that day. His heart ached terribly and the medicine he took was of no use.

Late in the night, I was walking back and forth to the office when I suddenly clutched my chest and was about to collapse. Luckily, someone nearby helped me sit down inside. It took a while for me to recover.

Turning on the bedside lamp, I saw the person on the bed, covered in the quilt, a huddled, kitten-like figure. The quilt was undulating slightly, as if sobbing and trembling.

He lifted the quilt and was shocked. How did he become like this? He was so thin that he looked unrecognizable. Even if he had not eaten or drunk anything for days, he would not be so thin.

Tears welled up in her eyes, and a large patch of her pillow was soaked from crying. She curled up into a ball, her paws clenched into fists on her chest, and cried softly, like a pitiful young animal.

She slowly turned her head and looked at him, her eyes filled with tears and she looked pitiful.

He reached out and hugged her, asking her to lie on his lap. After a moment of silence, she vaguely realized that he was back.

He stood up and choked up, saying, "Go away, I'll leave tomorrow."

He went to hug her, and she cried and screamed in his arms, hitting and biting him, having lost her mind.

The two of them tossed and turned for a long time, until they felt like they were going to die, and then they stopped. She almost fainted at the end.

She nestled in his arms, sobbing, her tears soaking his chest. He stroked her hair and body, gently kissed her eyes and lips, and the previous storm and gentle comfort finally calmed her down.

They both felt that the other party was a little uneasy.

"I'm really too busy."

"I don't believe you. I don't want to be tortured by you anymore. I want to stay away from you." After saying that, she cried even more sadly and bit him a few more times.

If he was really busy, he wouldn't add the word "really" in front of the word.

He wiped her tears, snuggled into her arms and said, "It's true. I've been so tired these days. I've destroyed several points, all of which were important people over there."

"You only care about yourself, and you never care about me."

He listened to her heartbeat, which was completely calm. He thought, "Aren't you afraid?"

Her companions had suffered a great blow this time, but was she not afraid at all? Or had she already known about it and was mentally prepared?

After coaxing her for a while, he thought she had fallen asleep. Just as he was about to get up, she grabbed him with one of her little paws, but immediately realized something and let go in disappointment.

He looked very tired, he couldn't sleep next to her. Besides, it was almost dawn and someone would see him.

Seeing her like this, he couldn't bear to leave.

She whispered, "I hope Mrs. Yi won't find out."

"It's okay." He stroked her hair.

He had just finished putting on his clothes on the edge of the bed when she got up, took out something from under her pillow and put it on him. Then she pressed her whole body against his back and hugged him with both hands.

He was startled and trembled. Then he realized that she was wearing an off-white sweater with tulip patterns knitted on it.

Lao Yi was also confused. What was this doing?

She lowered her head shyly and said, "I knitted it for you. It must be very cold there."

He didn't know what to say for a moment.

Wang Jiazhi reached out and rubbed his shoulders and back. Surprisingly, they fit him perfectly. This made her feel very accomplished.

Then he took off his sweater and put on a light navy blue wool vest with white orchid pattern on it.

It also fits well.

"I thought you wouldn't come back, and I wouldn't be able to see you when you left. I was thinking of just leaving it here. But you don't know, someone will throw it away anyway. I figured it would be better for you to keep one piece and I'll take one, just as a souvenir."

Old Yi is no longer able to move. My heart doesn’t ache anymore, but it’s about to melt.

There's really nothing I can do about this little spy.

"I knew you wouldn't wear it. Now that you've worn it, it's not a wasted effort. Anyway, if you want to take it away, throw it away or burn it, it'll be considered as my gift to you."

After saying that, he rested his head on her shoulder.

"I will definitely wear it. I won't give it up."

She sobbed silently again, and her tears fell on her sweater and quickly soaked into it.

It was already dawn outside, and he asked her to lie back down. She hugged him and gradually fell asleep.

Lao Yi went back with two sweaters.

Looking at the sweater on my legs, everything seemed so unreal.

What on earth was going on? He couldn't see her clearly, nor could he see himself clearly. He had been in this line of work for most of his life, had seen countless people, and there was no one he couldn't see through. Yet, he fell into the hands of a little girl.

He's already this old. He's never accepted any sweaters or scarves girls gave him when he was younger. What does she think of him? If it's just a casual flirtation, it's too unconventional.

Thinking about what happened just now, it seemed that she was not fake and seemed to really miss me.

The bodyguard and driver remained silent, but helpless. He often went out in the middle of the night and had sex with so many women, so how could this have turned him into this?
