Chapter 181
When Wang Jiazhi woke up, the room was already dark, while other houses had already turned on the lights.
She hadn't eaten for another day, and if she continued like this, she would be utterly unrecognizable. She put on her shoes, went downstairs, and bought a few pieces of osmanthus cake from the dim sum shop.
A large steamer in the kitchen was still heating something, and the room was filled with steam, making it hard to breathe.
The woman placed a few pieces of cake in her bowl, wiped her sweaty face with her apron, and said with a smile, "Freshly steamed."
Wang Jiazhi felt sorry for her when she saw her like that. It was so hard to make a living. She didn't even go out to sell dim sum at night, so why was she still steaming?
Their steamer never stops working even after dark.
Wang Jiazhi devoured two pieces of osmanthus cake. Her family's pastries were truly excellent. They had a strong rice aroma, yet weren't overly sweet. If she couldn't eat anything else, she could still use this to fill her stomach.
She didn't turn on the light, ate a few pieces of cake, drank some water, covered herself with the quilt and continued to sleep.
She fell into a hazy sleep and dreamed of the group of masked evil spirits again. She was barefoot, walking on the sticky stone road covered with blood. She walked for a long time, and her feet were bleeding, but she just couldn't see him.
When she was confused and panicked, an evil ghost, followed by a row of evil ghosts, walked towards her.
She screamed "Ah" and turned and ran away in fear. They chased her from behind, as if they would not stop until they dragged her into hell.
She stopped and suddenly turned around fiercely and rushed towards them, took off the leader's mask, and smashed him hard on the head with the mask. Blood flowed from the center of his head, and the blood flowed down his forehead, nose bridge, and lips in a straight line, and then dripped onto the ground, as if splitting his head in two.
She was filled with joy. She took the mask and smashed it hard, turning the head into a bloody mess, then splitting it in half, and the white brain matter flowed out like a cracked egg. The ghost fell to the ground, and she seemed to be furious, rushing forward to smash the others to death. They screamed in fear and scattered. She felt extremely happy.
She woke up with a start. It was quiet outside and the room was completely dark. It was very late at night.
Why, why did they do that to her.
They forced her to do that, so why did they look down on her and treat her like a whore afterwards?
Wang Jiazhi shook her head and decided not to think about it anymore.
Although the incident had been tormenting her to the point of suicidal agony, she had almost stopped thinking about those despicable people. She used to be unable to stop wondering why they had bullied and hurt her like that. But she hadn't thought about it for a long time. It wasn't worth it; she couldn't waste her time and life on them. She would rather endure the pain of being tortured to death with such fantasies than think about them again.
In the darkness, she hugged her knees, wondering why she hadn't dreamed of him. He must have changed his mind, which was why she couldn't even dream of him. Damn it.
She opened the curtains and saw a big round moon outside.
"What is he doing?"
Who knows if he is hugging someone else in his arms.
She turned on the light and took out paper and pen from the drawer. Every time she wanted to pick up the pen, she sat in front of it for hours but couldn't write a single word.
She threw herself on the table and cried. She didn't know how long she cried, and the paper was wet.
She stood up, wiped her tears, took the wet manuscript paper, and started writing.
