Chapter 300 Sacrifice

Chapter 300 Sacrifice

Qingquan County, in a dark cemetery.

Song Wang looked at the dusty tomboy and asked, "Do you regret it?"

Qiu Man was staring intently at who would come here. When she heard Song Wang speak to her, she raised her head and said, "I regret it. I should have approached you earlier and learned the truth about my mother's death. Maybe the real culprit would have been caught by now."

Her eyes were cold.

I don't know when it started, but she changed from an innocent little girl to a wandering person with a deep hatred on her shoulders.

Song Wang said: "Someone is coming."

The two men raised their heads and became alert. Just as the boy ran to the tomb and squatted down, Song Wang had already approached and pressed him to the ground. However, the boy was agile and sprinkled a handful of powder on him.

Song Wang's body softened and he fell to the ground, and the boy quickly escaped.

Qiu Man gritted her teeth, threw herself to the ground, and hugged his legs.

"Qiu Man!" Song Wang was worried, but he couldn't stand up at all. He gritted his teeth, straightened his back, sat cross-legged, and tried to adjust his breathing.

After being dragged for dozens of meters, Qiu Man still refused to let go.

The boy held up his pants and said irritably, "Get out! Or don't blame me for taking action! Are you annoying? You keep clinging to me. Oh, stop pulling, or your pants will fall off."

Hearing this, Qiu Man's hands tightened even more.

She gritted her teeth and said, "I can't let go, even if I die!"

After several days of waiting, this is the first strange person I have seen. I must catch him.

The boy tried to shake her off but couldn't. He grabbed her collar and tried to throw her, but was bitten hard: "Ahh! You are a dog, I won't leave, I surrender, isn't that enough?"

Qiu Man said: "Sit on the ground first."

The boy rolled his eyes, feeling his pants continue to fall, and hurriedly said, "I'll sit down! I'll sit down now!"

Qiu Man looked at Song Wang spitting out blood, frowned, and looked at the culprit and asked.

"What happened to him?"

The boy said, "You were hit by some dispersing powder. As long as you don't force your internal energy, you'll be fine. But he was so worried about you that he kept forcing his internal energy."

"Oh~" Qiu Man nodded, not quite understanding, the corners of her mouth raised, revealing two cute dimples.

After a while, Song Wang came over, tied the boy's hands and feet, and sat on the ground exhausted, covering his chest. After seeing that Qiu Man was fine, he looked at the boy.

He sensed something was wrong.

Ask directly: "Are you here to steal food?"

"Yeah." The boy nodded. "You guys too?"

Qiu Man's eyes widened. "We are not! Tell me, do you recognize the owner of this tomb? Or do you have a butterfly pattern on your body?"

The boy immediately denied it: "No, no, I really came here to steal food."

Song Wang untied the rope for him.

Qiu Man curled her lips, "You came here to steal something, so why are you running?"

"I stole something, how could I not run? If I were caught I'd get beaten up, would you take it for me?"

"Who told you to steal? You deserve to be beaten."

“So I ran.”

The two quarreled all the way to the woods. Song Wang sighed, stopped, and felt someone hit his back hard. He turned around and held Qiu Man's arm.

Said to the boy who was as tall as Qiu Man.

"You go back."

The boy stood there motionless. After a moment, his eyes lit up and he chased after the two men. He asked, "Are you here to investigate whether King Anmu is dead?"

They looked at each other.

Song Wang nodded: "Yes."

The boy took out half a cake from his arms, stuffed it in one gulp, and burped. He said, "I know a place that you will definitely be interested in. I want ten taels of silver as a reward."

Qiu Man cleverly took out half of it and said, "This is five taels. If the information you provide is valuable, we will keep our promise."

The boy weighed the silver and first took the two of them to a dilapidated village.

The leaky thatched hut was his home. Song Wang and Qiu Man followed the boy in and saw a pale little girl lying on the bed. The boy put five taels of silver under the pillow with the grass showing.

The boy shouted, "Sister, here is some silver. Give it to the doctor and he will treat you."

"Where are you going, brother?" The girl opened her eyes, stretched out her skinny little hands from under the quilt, and forced a kind smile. Her eyes were like stars in the sky.

Bright, simple yet elusive.

The boy said, "Go do something big."

The girl asked, "Is this what we talked about before?"

"Yeah." The boy put his hand on her head and said reluctantly, "Be good at home. When you recover from your illness, remember to burn incense for your parents more often."

Qiu Man looked at the two well-behaved children and shed two lines of tears.

After leaving the hut, the boy led them to the dilapidated temple. He took out a book from behind the Buddha statue and handed it to the two men. He said, "Someone once investigated this case. Inside is evidence of the late King Anmu's crime."

Qiu Man asked: "Then why didn't he report it to the court?"

"I tried." The boy lowered his head and touched the blood on the book cover. "I was killed as soon as I left the house."

Song Wang took the book, flipped through a few pages, and said with certainty, "That man is your father, right? The former magistrate of Qingquan County, Wu Sheng, your mother was also killed by these people."

Wu Sheng's son wiped his tears and nodded: "Yes."

Song Wang put the bloody book into his arms and said, "Don't worry, I will personally hand it over to the emperor and let the bad guys be punished."

Suddenly, footsteps were heard outside.

He took a closer look.

"Oh no, someone is coming."

The boy moved the Buddha statue away, revealing a path dug by humans. He waved to the two of them, "Hurry, brother and sister, get down quickly."

Song Wang jumped down and was helped down by Qiu Man.

She held out her hand to the boy and said, "Let's go."

The boy smiled with relief, and under the surprised gaze of Song Wang and Qiu Man, he slowly covered the secret passage and used his weak body to move the broken Buddha statue.

When the man in black came in.

He lit his clothes on fire: "It's a pity that I don't have any cotton clothes, otherwise it would burn more vigorously."

Whoosh whoosh!

The sharp arrow could only penetrate the boy's chest but could not extinguish the raging fire. He touched the Buddha statue and muttered words of blessing. When he saw the man in black approaching, he held it tightly.

Down the secret passage.

Tick, tick, sticky stuff drips onto the face.

Song Wang realized that something had happened upstairs and the entrance was blocked. He held the hand of the person who was crying breathlessly and ran forward in the faint light of the fire.

They crawled out of the secret passage, their bodies frozen.

Qiu Man looked at the blood on the back of her hand and couldn't help but redden her eyes. She clenched her fist and said, "We will succeed, right?"

"Yes, it will succeed." Song Wang nodded.

A horse came running out of nowhere. He immediately grabbed the reins and looked around, but there was no one in sight.

Qiu Man asked: "Who is it?"

Song Wang pursed his lips and said in a deep voice, "Mr. Wu."

Qiu Man was puzzled: "Didn't Lord Wu die tragically?"

Song Wang carried Qiu Man onto the horse. He turned over swiftly and sat in the back, holding her hand and pressing it against his chest, where the blood letter had been written: "Mr. Wu is everyone. They have all been waiting for this day."
