Chen Xiaoru's sight was occupied by a group of twisted figures. They looked neither human nor human, with festering skin, sunken eye sockets, and growling sounds. They were rushing towards her in a weird posture. There were so many of them that it made her scalp numb.
Her face turned pale, her heart pounding, her voice trembling: "System! What the hell is this?"
"These are zombies, host! Quick, take out the Red Wolf frying pan and kill them!" The system's urgent voice sounded in her mind.
Chen Xiaoru shuddered and quickly took out the golden frying pan from the space. It felt heavy in her hand, which made her feel a little relieved.
"This pot is quite heavy, it should be able to hold out for a while!" she muttered to herself. But looking at the dense, approaching swarm of zombies, cold sweat broke out on her forehead. She was afraid that relying on this pot alone would not be enough!
"System, is there any other way? If I rely on this pot alone, I'm afraid I'll be in trouble!" She anxiously called the system in her mind.
"Host, you still have one powerful pill, take it quickly!" the system reminded.
Chen Xiaoru gritted her teeth, took out another powerful pill from the space, and swallowed it. "No matter what, let's fight!"
She growled. A surge of warmth instantly surged through her body, and strength exploded from within, filling her with confidence.
She gripped the frying pan tightly with both hands, took a deep breath, and yelled, "Come on! Today I'll let you taste the power of my frying pan!"
Then she rushed into the zombie horde. She swung the frying pan in her hands with great vigor, and each blow hit the zombie's head accurately, making a dull "bang bang bang" sound, accompanied by the zombies' wailing and falling sounds.
"I'll let you bite me! I'll let you scare me! I'll beat you to death! I'll beat you to death!"
Chen Xiaoru waved the frying pan and cursed at the same time. She became more and more courageous as the battle went on. As the pan rose and fell, the zombies were knocked to the ground one by one, and green juice splashed everywhere.
The battle lasted a long time, and Chen Xiaoru only stopped when the last zombie fell. She leaned on the frying pan, gasping for breath, her chest heaving violently, and her whole body aching as if it were falling apart.
But she had no time to rest. She looked around vigilantly and made sure there was no new danger before turning her gaze to a supermarket not far behind her.
"Huh...I'm so tired..." she gasped.
So she decided to go there to receive the plot and understand the specific situation of this world.
Chen Xiaoru dragged her tired body and walked carefully into the supermarket. She found a relatively secluded corner, sat down slowly against the shelf, and breathed a sigh of relief.
"System, transmit the plot!"
She closed her eyes and spoke to the system in her mind.
A slight feeling of dizziness came over her, and then a large amount of information flooded into her mind.
She saw herself, Chen Xiaoru, 20 years old, from Jiangping City, and a junior at Jiangping University.
Her parents are the chairman and general manager of "Yuanhang Group", a well-known enterprise in Jiangping City. Her family is well-off and she has lived a carefree life since she was a child.
The scene shifts to the day of the apocalypse, when Chen Xiaoru is dozing off in the classroom. It's a boring course, and the teacher is rambling on and on, while she yawns constantly as she listens below.
After finally waiting for the bell to ring, she stretched and was about to pack up and leave, but she found that the classmates around her were all looking at their phones in panic, and there were bursts of noisy noises coming from outside the classroom.
Her heart skipped a beat and an ominous premonition came over her.
"What's going on?" she asked, pulling a girl next to her.
"Something...something happened! There...a lot of people outside...they've all turned into monsters!" The girl's face was pale and her voice was trembling.
The original owner quickly turned on his phone, and all kinds of shocking videos and pictures came into view. Those people who were once familiar to him had now turned into hideous monsters, madly biting and attacking all living things.
"This...is this a zombie?" she muttered to herself in disbelief, her mind going blank.
The classroom exploded instantly, with screams, cries, and the sound of tables and chairs colliding mixed together, and everyone fell into a huge panic.
The original owner forced herself to calm down. She knew that panicking at this time would only put her in greater danger.
She and a few classmates with whom she had a good relationship hid in the classroom, blocking the doors and windows with tables and chairs, and were temporarily safe.
But soon, hunger and fear began to spread.
The food and water they brought were quickly consumed, and several people were starving. If this continued, they would starve to death even without the zombies arriving.
"No, we have to go out and find something to eat!" suggested a boy. He was the sports commissioner of the class and was usually quite courageous.
"But... there are zombies everywhere outside, it's too dangerous!" a girl said timidly.
"What should we do? Are we just going to wait here to die?" the boy asked.
Several people were silent. Yes, instead of sitting here and waiting to die, it would be better to go out and fight. Maybe there is still a glimmer of hope.
So they carefully opened the classroom door and walked out along the corridor.
Along the way, they saw many corpses lying in pools of blood, as well as wandering zombies making low growls. Everyone's heart was in their throat.
They tried their best to avoid the zombies and groped towards places where they remembered there might be food.
However, they searched several places nearby and found nothing to eat.
Just when they were about to despair, Chen Xiaoru suddenly pointed to a supermarket in the distance and said, "There! There might be something to eat!"
