Chen Xiaoru walked out of the classroom without looking back, followed closely by Zhou Yuxuan. She ignored him and quickened her pace. At this moment, she just wanted to get back to her home near the original owner's school and take a good shower.
After all, after killing so many zombies and beating Li Qiang up, his body was sticky and he felt extremely uncomfortable.
Seeing Chen Xiaoru walking so fast, Zhou Yuxuan thought she was going to get rid of him. He took a few steps to catch up with her, grabbed her hand, and asked anxiously, "Xiaoru, where are you going?"
Chen Xiaoru staggered as he pulled her, and had to stop. She explained unhappily:
"I need to go home and take a shower. I feel so uncomfortable."
"Well, I'll accompany you then."
Zhou Yuxuan didn't think twice and took her hand and walked forward, as if this was the most natural thing.
"Zhou Yuxuan, did I agree to let you come to my house?" Chen Xiaoru stomped her feet in anger.
"No,"
Zhou Yuxuan said confidently, "But I won't let you go. It's very dangerous now, and it's safer for us to be together."
Chen Xiaoru suddenly moved closer to Zhou Yuxuan, almost touching his face. The corners of her mouth curled up dangerously, and she exhaled like orchids: "You are with me, aren't you afraid of what I will do to you?"
Zhou Yuxuan's Adam's apple rolled up and down, his eyes becoming deep. He took advantage of the situation and pulled Chen Xiaoru closer to him. He lowered his head to her ear and said ambiguously in a voice that only the two of them could hear, "I couldn't ask for more."
"You...you...you are shameless!" Chen Xiaoru's cheeks suddenly burned like a ripe apple. She suddenly shook off Zhou Yuxuan's hand and turned away, her steps a little flustered. She thought to herself: Am I being teased?
Zhou Yuxuan looked at her red ears, a triumphant smile appeared on the corner of his mouth, he took a step forward with his long legs, held her hand tightly again, and followed her.
The two walked out of the teaching building side by side. Suddenly, the view opened up, but also presented a lurking danger. On the playground, over twenty zombies were staggering towards them, their stench overwhelming.
"Zhou Yuxuan, what are you going to do?" Chen Xiaoru turned her head to look at the man beside her, her eyebrows slightly raised, with a hint of amusement in her eyes.
"What else can we do? Send them to death, of course." Zhou Yuxuan said lightly, with a ruthless tone in his voice. He moved his wrists, and the joints made a "cracking" sound.
Chen Xiaoru quickly pulled out a frying pan from her space, waved it in front of Zhou Yuxuan, and said with a smug smile, "Is it really okay for you to be so violent?"
After saying that, without waiting for Zhou Yuxuan to react, he rushed out like an agile cheetah.
Zhou Yuxuan stood there in a daze, his eyes wide open, staring at the frying pan in Chen Xiaoru's hand, which was flashing with a cold light. He was full of confusion: This frying pan... When did she take it? How come I didn't notice it at all?
Chen Xiaoru took the lead and rushed into the group of zombies, waving the frying pan in her hand vigorously. Every swing was accompanied by a muffled sound, and the zombies' heads exploded like watermelons, and black and red blood splattered everywhere.
She became more and more courageous as she fought, shouting excitedly, "Haha, awesome! I finally understand why Red Wolf loves hitting Gray Wolf with a frying pan. The feel of it is simply amazing!"
Zhou Yuxuan came back to his senses, a hint of helplessness flashing in his eyes, and he joined the battle. He picked up a thick tree trunk and swung it vigorously, each blow was powerful and sent the zombie flying.
Chen Xiaoru slammed the frying pan into the last zombie's head with a clang. The zombie fell to the ground, and the black and red liquid splashed all over her. She let out a long breath, her chest heaving violently. She turned to look at Zhou Yuxuan, a few beads of sweat still on her forehead.
"Xiaoru, are you okay?" Zhou Yuxuan walked quickly to her side, his brows furrowed, his eyes full of concern. He looked her up and down, as if to confirm whether she was injured.
"I'm fine,"
Chen Xiaoru waved her hand, put the frying pan back into the space, looked at the stains on her body with disgust, frowned and said, "Let's go, I want to take a shower, I feel so uncomfortable." After that, she walked forward on her own.
What should have been a ten-minute journey took two hours to reach their doorstep. Along the way, they encountered several waves of zombies, but the two of them worked together well and managed to deal with them quickly and efficiently.
Chen Xiaoru took out the key and opened the door in a hurry. She didn't care about Zhou Yuxuan behind her and rushed straight into the bathroom. She closed the door with a "bang", and then the sound of water splashing was heard.
Zhou Yuxuan locked the door, shook his head helplessly, and walked into the kitchen, washing his hands carefully. He opened the refrigerator, which was empty except for a few handfuls of noodles, a few eggs, and half a carton of milk.
"It seems I can only cook some noodles." Zhou Yuxuan said to himself. After all, he and Chen Xiaoru had just experienced a fierce battle and had consumed a lot of physical energy.
The sound of running water suddenly stopped, and Chen Xiaoru came out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel, her wet hair still dripping with water. She saw Zhou Yuxuan busy in the kitchen and asked curiously, "Is there any food at home? Is it not expired?"
"No," Zhou Yuxuan continued with his work without even turning back. "There's only a few noodles and eggs left, but they're almost gone."
Chen Xiaoru scratched her head. She had almost forgotten that there was so much food stored at home.
"Well, it's good to have something to eat," Chen Xiaoru walked to the dining table and sat down, holding her chin with her hands, looking eagerly at the kitchen, "Is it almost ready? I'm so hungry."
"It will be ready soon, just wait a moment." Zhou Yuxuan quickened his movements. The water in the pot had begun to boil, making gurgling sounds.
