"Well, that's all we can do."
Chen Xiaoru sighed. Although she was not afraid of these zombies, she shook her head at the thought of close combat with so many monsters. What's more, a long battle would consume a lot of physical strength, and she didn't want to exhaust herself to death.
She turned her head and urged, "Why don't you drive quickly? What are you standing there for?"
There was a hint of anxiety and anger in his tone.
The car sped along at lightning speed and stopped steadily near the warehouse. The two of them quietly got out of the car and observed their surroundings vigilantly. The few zombies that were wandering around were quickly and neatly dispatched by Chen Xiaoru.
The warehouse door was locked. Chen Xiaoru turned her head and looked at Zhou Yuxuan, her eyebrows slightly raised. With a hint of inquiry, she asked, "Zhou Yuxuan, can you open the door?"
"No." Zhou Yuxuan answered decisively without any hesitation, with a hint of helplessness in his resolute tone.
"Oh well!"
Before Chen Xiaoru finished speaking, she raised her leg and kicked. With a loud "bang", the sturdy warehouse door opened and the door panel shook violently, as if it would fall apart at any time.
"Let's go!" she said lightly and took the lead to step in.
Zhou Yuxuan stood there, looking at Chen Xiaoru's back, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes, and he muttered to himself: Is Xiaoru so violent now? Is this still the gentle and lovely Xiaoru I know?
The warehouse was filled with bags of rice, emitting a faint aroma. Chen Xiaoru was unceremonious. With a thought, bags of rice vanished into thin air, stored away in her space.
"Let's go to the next warehouse!"
Chen Xiaoru clapped her hands, turned around and said to Zhou Yuxuan with a hint of excitement in her tone, as if she had discovered a treasure.
"Yeah." Zhou Yuxuan nodded and followed Chen Xiaoru.
The two arrived at the next warehouse, and Chen Xiaoru repeated her old trick, kicking the door open once more. This time, the warehouse was filled with a variety of fresh vegetables. Chen Xiaoru's eyes lit up, and with another big wave of her hand, she collected all the vegetables into the space.
"The warehouse has been cleaned out. Where should we go next?" Chen Xiaoru paused and turned to look at Zhou Yuxuan, asking for his opinion.
Zhou Yuxuan thought for a moment, then pointed to several towering water tanks vaguely visible in the distance and said, "I remember there's a water plant nearby. Let's go take a look. If we don't run into any zombies, we can collect some water and then go home."
Chen Xiaoru frowned slightly, shook her head, and gently stroked her chin with her slender fingers. She said, "I don't think we should rush to get water. Since we're already here, why don't we find you some clothes to change into? Are you planning to wear this outfit every day?"
Zhou Yuxuan's eyes lit up instantly when he heard this. He grinned widely and moved closer to Chen Xiaoru. His voice was filled with unconcealed joy. "Xiaoru, are you really concerned about me?"
Chen Xiaoru felt a little uncomfortable when he looked at her. She glared at him and said angrily, "Whether you want to go or not, just one word!"
"Go! Go! Go! Of course I have to go! There's no reason to disobey my future wife. Let's go now!"
Zhou Yuxuan immediately put away his playful smile and spoke seriously, taking the first step with his feet moving quickly.
Chen Xiaoru said speechlessly, "You are such a...!"
Then the two got in the car and drove to the clothing store.
