"Zhou Si, what do you think I should do? Hmm?" Chen Xiaoru's slender fingers wrapped around a strand of Zhou Si's hair that fell on her cheek, playing with it gently. Her tone was lazy and a bit playful, and the ending tone rose slightly, teasing people's hearts like a feather.
Zhou Si felt his scalp tingle. The strand of hair felt like it was carrying an electric current, making him feel uneasy. He had never seen Chen Xiaoru like this before. In the past, she had either been stern or sarcastic, but never this... this alluring? He was completely confused and didn't know how to respond.
He closed his eyes tightly, his body stiff as a block of wood, but his heart was in turmoil. He wanted to push her away, but he was afraid she would suddenly change her attitude and beat him up like before. He wanted to beg for mercy, but he felt ashamed and was even more afraid that she would be even more proud.
All sorts of thoughts raced through his mind, and finally, he steeled himself, closed his eyes, and, with an air of resignation, thought to himself: "Never mind, love does what it pleases! Anyway, if I fall into her hands, I'll be dead anyway!"
Chen Xiaoru almost couldn't help laughing when she saw Zhou Si's "sacrifice" look. She suppressed her smile and deliberately moved closer to his face, gently touching his lips with her fingertips, and said in a charming voice: "Zhou Si, you are like this, do you want me to kiss you?"
Zhou Si suddenly opened his eyes, a trace of panic flashed in his eyes, but he quickly suppressed it.
Seeing him like this, Chen Xiaoru found it even more amusing. She simply pressed her entire body against him, almost pinning Zhou Si down. Then she reached out and gently lifted his chin, forcing him to look at her.
"Why, you don't dare look at me?" Chen Xiaoru's voice was filled with a hint of amusement. "Or... are you looking forward to something?" She paused deliberately, then said in an extremely ambiguous tone: "Zhou Si, you are really interesting..."
Zhou Si opened his eyes abruptly upon hearing this, meeting Chen Xiaoru's half-smiling gaze. His heart pounded like a drum, his cheeks burning, and he stammered, "You... don't do this... I... I beg you, please let me go!"
The voice was trembling, pleading, and... indescribably embarrassing.
Chen Xiaoru looked at him like this, feeling really pitiful! However, she was not what he wanted. Her delicate fingers gently brushed across his tall nose, all the way down, finally stopping at his lips, caressing them gently.
Zhou Si felt a surge of electricity running through his body from his fingertips, sending a chill through him. He wanted to hide, but he didn't dare to move, fearing he would anger the young lady and get another beating.
Chen Xiaoru leaned down, and her warm breath sprayed on Zhou Si's face. The distance between them was getting closer and closer, so close that Zhou Si could clearly see the playful look in her eyes and smell the faint fragrance on her body.
He swallowed nervously, his Adam's apple rolling up and down, his eyes dodging, and he didn't dare to look her in the eye.
When there was only 0.1 centimeters left between their lips and they were almost touching, Chen Xiaoru stopped. She could feel Zhou Si's rapid breathing and even the slight trembling of his body.
She opened her red lips slightly, her voice carrying a hint of charm and teasing: "Okay! But..." She deliberately prolonged her voice to whet Zhou Si's appetite, "Kiss me once, and I'll let you go."
Zhou Si's eyes widened, his mind going blank. Kiss her? This... How could this be possible! He would rather be beaten by her again than... No, it seemed like being beaten would be even worse...
He was torn between his inner self and his own desires. On one side was the dignity of "preferring death to refrain from surrendering" and on the other was the hope of "living in humiliation".
Chen Xiaoru looked at his troubled expression, feeling secretly pleased with herself. "You've bullied me all the time, so today I'll repay you!" She didn't rush him, but waited quietly for his reaction, a playful smile playing on her lips, like a cunning cat watching a mouse caught in a trap.
Zhou Si felt like every second was a torment. He stole a glance at Chen Xiaoru and saw she was watching him with interest, her eyes full of amusement. He gritted his teeth and made up his mind. Never mind, just kiss her. It was better than being tortured to death by her! At least... at least he wouldn't suffer any loss.
Chen Xiaoru has been observing Zhou Si. This guy has his eyes closed and his eyelashes are trembling. It is obvious that he wants to kiss her!
Zhou Si took a deep breath, slowly raised his head, and as if he had made a great decision, he leaned towards Chen Xiaoru's lips. He silently said to himself: Kiss her, even if I die under the peony flowers, I will still be a romantic ghost! Besides, this little girl is so beautiful, a kiss is not a loss!
Just as they were about to kiss, Chen Xiaoru suddenly pulled away, and all the ambiguous actions disappeared in an instant. She turned over, with her back to Zhou Si, and said lightly: "Go to sleep! I'm exhausted today."
The courage he had just mustered was instantly drained away. Zhou Si felt like a monkey being played, his enthusiasm completely dampened by a bucket of cold water.
He'd thought he'd escaped, and he should have been happy, but instead, a sense of loss welled up inside him, as if something had flown away from him. He lay back on the bed, staring at the ceiling with his eyes open, feeling a mixture of emotions.
"This woman... definitely did it on purpose!" Zhou Si thought angrily in his heart, "Is she kidding me?!"
The more he thought about it, the angrier he got, and he couldn't help but grit his teeth. But then he thought again, and it was a little funny. He must have seen all of his "die-hard" behavior. Now, he'd lost all his dignity!
He tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep. All he could think about was Chen Xiaoru's half-smile and the light-hearted words "Go to sleep".
