"Li Dequan!" Xuanyuan Che's voice was low and suppressed, like the calm before the storm, which made people's heart palpitate.
"Your servant is here!" Li Dequan bowed and stepped forward, answering cautiously. He could feel the chilling aura emanating from the emperor.
"Immediately send someone to seal off the Queen's bedroom. No one is allowed to enter or leave!"
Xuanyuan Che's tone was unquestionable. Every word seemed to be squeezed out from between his teeth, with a biting chill.
"Send someone to bring the queen to me! No, bring her here by force!" He uttered the last word almost with gritted teeth.
"Yes!" Li Dequan did not dare to be negligent and immediately took the order and left. He knew that a huge storm was about to come and the entire harem would be shrouded in the shadow of this storm.
Xuanyuan Che slowly walked to the throne and sat down. His gaze swept over the kneeling people in the hall. His eyes were cold and sharp, like the blade of a knife, chilling. He gripped the armrest tightly, his knuckles turning white from the force, and the veins on the back of his hand bulged, revealing the extreme anger and repression he felt at the moment.
He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and tried to calm the rage in his chest. Chen Xiaoru's frail face flashed through his mind. She was pregnant with their child, and now, both mother and child were in imminent danger. The thought of this ignited the rage in his heart once again, like a volcanic eruption, uncontrollable.
He suddenly opened his eyes, and a fierce murderous intent flashed in his eyes. He would never allow anyone to hurt his children and women. No matter who it was, they would have to pay the price!
Time ticked by, and the atmosphere in the side hall was suffocatingly oppressive. The imperial physicians and the remaining palace maids and eunuchs knelt on the ground, not daring to breathe. They could clearly hear their own heartbeats, each beat a death-dealing drumbeat.
Finally, a burst of hurried footsteps broke the silence in the hall, and Li Dequan, accompanied by several guards, walked in, escorting the queen. Also with him was Cuihua's body.
The queen was dressed in a gorgeous phoenix robe and a phoenix crown, but her face was pale and she staggered, clearly having been forcibly brought in. Her eyes were filled with fear and uneasiness, but she forced herself to remain calm, trying to maintain her dignity as queen.
"Your Majesty, I pay my respects to you." The Queen walked to the center of the hall, knelt down and saluted. Her voice trembled slightly, but she tried to remain calm.
Xuanyuan Che looked at her coldly without saying a word. His gaze was as solid as a substance, falling on the queen, as if he wanted to see through her.
The queen felt her hair stand on end when he looked at her, and she felt even more uneasy. She raised her head, met Xuanyuan Che's gaze, and forced a smile:
"Your Majesty, you summoned me here so late, but what's the important matter?"
"Important?"
Xuanyuan Che sneered, slowly stood up, and walked towards the queen step by step. His footsteps were particularly clear in the silent hall. Every step seemed to be stepping on the queen's heart, making her feel suffocated.
"I'm asking you, was Cuihua sent to the Qing Palace by you?!"
Xuanyuan Che walked up to the queen, looked down at her, and spoke in a cold tone, like a chill wind from hell.
"Cuihua?"
The Queen pretended to be calm, a flash of panic in her eyes, but she quickly concealed it, "Your Majesty, I don't know what you are talking about. Who is Cuihua? I have never heard of this name."
Xuanyuan Che laughed in anger. He reached out and pinched the Queen's chin, forcing her to look up and look at him. "At this point, you still want to quibble? I ask you, was it you who instructed Cuihua to put an abortion drug in Concubine Chen's pregnancy-maintaining medicine?!"
His voice was not loud, but it was full of oppression. Every word seemed to be squeezed out from between his teeth, with a biting chill.
The queen's face turned pale in an instant, she trembled all over, unable to maintain her composure, tears welled up in her eyes.
"Your Majesty, I don't have any, I really don't have any..."
"No?"
Xuanyuan Che sneered and increased the strength in his hands.
"Then tell me, why did Concubine Chen suddenly suffer from unbearable abdominal pain? The imperial physician diagnosed it as taking abortion pills? And tell me why Cuihua committed suicide in the Palace of Heavenly Purity out of fear of punishment?!"
“Your Majesty… Your Majesty…”
The queen was incoherent. She wanted to defend herself, but found that she had no way to defend herself. All the evidence pointed at her. She knew that she was probably doomed this time.

Seeing this, Xuanyuan Che's eyes became even colder. He suddenly kicked the ground next to Madam Liu, making a loud "bang" sound. Madam Liu was so scared that she trembled all over, screamed, and collapsed to the ground.
